Comeytose

stilton’s place, stilton, political, humor, conservative, cartoons, jokes, hope n’ change, comey, russia, fbi, wiretap, rat's ass

We're not at all sure that "ignorance is bliss," but we've decided to at least give it a try when it comes to anything whatsoever that FBI Director James Comey has to say, now or in the future.

As we understand it (and trust us, we're not trying very hard) Comey just testified that there's no evidence whatsoever that Russia hacked the election, hacked election results, or attempted to influence the election any more than they've been attempting for decades.

However, the man who downgraded treasonous security breaches to "extreme carelessness" when Hillary snapped her fingers was perfectly willing to announce, with great seriousness and theatrically cocked eyebrow, that his agency (at the insistence of Democrats) is actively investigating any ties between Russia and Trump's campaign...even though there may not be any.

Are there salient details that we're missing here? It's entirely possible - and we just don't care. Comey is a self-interested political hack who has destroyed the credibility of the FBI, and his meaningless pronouncements only serve as fresh fodder for the fake news mills (yes, we're talking about you, New York Times).

For the good of the country, we'd like to see Trump appoint a new director to the FBI as soon as possible. And to prove there are no hard feelings, we suggest he also appoint Comey to be director of the STFU.

  1. It's fun to watch the Democrats harumphing that the Trump campaign is being investigated by the FBI, as if their presidential candidate wasn't the subject of an FBI investigation for most of 2016.

  2. I dont believe anything that comes out of Comeys mouth. There must be some really good dirt the Democrats have on himbor Hillary threatened his family's lives. Love the cartoon.

  3. Amen
Eliot Ness and J Edgar spinning in graves, sHrillary is starting her next tap dancing number and WWE has refused Donna "bobo" Brazilles's contract.
And the mid-stream media continues their 5 decade old search for the mass murder from the NRA- the one they have been warning us about for the last 5 decades.
The borking of our supreme court candidate continues.
Lesser Dolt on NBC news is clueless he is the source of fake news.
Once again a good war is one with a demonRat in charge and bad war has a Republican in charge even if it is the same war.
So things are kinda as usual.

  4. Yes, Comey has to go. He has no credibility whatsoever. Obviously someone got to him with the hilliery thing and now he's trying to pretend he's relevant.

  5. I was asking myself the same, question only I thought Comey had to have something on Trump for Trump to keep him, similar to the way that Hoover kept his position.

  6. I worked for the Bureau under Mr Hoover; what has happened to his office is a disgrace. I hope our president discharges Comey sooner rather than later and not just because there is tension in Washington. Comey has no honor, has proven he is unbelievable, and he needs to go.

  7. When Comey speaks it's another "Frankly Scarlett" moment

  8. The exoneration of Hillary immediately following the Lynch-Bubba tarmac meeting was all I needed to see to fully understand Comey.

  9. Perhaps Trump keeps Commie around for comic relief.
At least he did manage to spend untold amounts of taxpayer's money and man-hours to locate Tom Brady's missing Superbowl jersey.

  10. Everybody already said what I was going to say; J Edger Hoover's rolling over in his grave and more important, Comey has got to have Hoover's files of blackmail on everybody in the world. I like Trump but he is eroding his fan base by keeping Comey aboard. Trump should drop Comey in his wake and suffer whatever files Comey has. Or else he can call Jason Borne out of retirement......

  11. Comey can Blowme...

Font Comment - your commentary is MUCH improved, Stilton, only requires a 10% size boost to be VERY readible!
The lesser pointed reader's comments, OTOH, kinda want another 40%...
    Just my $.02...

  12. My thought on Comey is that President Trump kept him because of all the crap that will come down and he wanted to hang that albatross around his neck rather than his choice for the FBI. Now, I am wondering if I may have been in error. I cannot believe that with all the felonies and treasonous behavior of Hillary, that has been swept under the rug including her and the democrat Russian deals. If there every was prima facie evidence of wrongdoing, she certainly fills that slot nicely. What bothers me more is she may slide on all her crooked ways.
It seems we hear nothing on the audits of the charity, the extra 600K emails, Weiner and his former bride and the list goes on. Surely someone cares enough about this country to look into this behavior, especially selling access.

  13. If the investigation of Trump started in July I wonder what tools Comey used to perform this investigation. Could it have been a "WIRETAP"?

  14. Somewhere I read that Comey's brother has a connection to BO, through a company that he works for. The Clintonistas and BO's henchmen make the Mafia families look like Sunday School teachers.

  15. If you're a Progressive, the only way to true blissdom has to be "ignorance", or at least a really short memory.

I've long since thrown up my hands in trying to understand what Comey is all about. Did he save the republic or further damage it? I'll probably be long dead before the truth of what he knows finally comes out.

And I still find it difficult to take this whole Russia thing too seriously. After all, the Democrats certainly did not when Obama accidentally expressed his "flexibility" and Hillary was in charge of the "reset", resulting it some strategically questionable deals that transparently enriched the Clintons and their foundation. But then again, I'm still old enough to remember when it was perfectly acceptable for Democrats to encourage Russian interference in US elections. None of this became an issue until the inevitable Hillary coronation spectacularly failed, regardless of her people's Russian ties. Instead of the GOP sinking in the ObamaCare quicksand, we'd already have a "single payer" plan on the table, and I'd be planning my imminent retirement.

  16. Ah, my good Dr. you have a way with acronyms! STFU could be combined to save $$$ with WGAF along with BFD. A trifecta of government incompetency!

  17. Comey needs a "Comey to Jesus" meeting.

  18. I used to think Comey was a straight arrow, but he is wavering all over the planet now. Even the weird thing with the Shrillary investigation he did right before the election was a big flip flop. "I'm re-opening the investigation." Then three days later he does an Emily Litella. Yes, Trump should just fire his ass, but why isn't he? The answer may be pretty interesting; I wish I knew.

    @John the Econ,
Yup! Democrats wrote the manual on rigging elections, starting in the 1800's when Blacks got the vote, and Kennedy's antics are proof that the leopard has not changed its spots. But to your average 21st century snowflake moonbat, Kennedy's crap may as well have happened in the Paleozoic Era. Today's Facebook Newsies likely don't even know who Teddy was, and if you described his "lifetime achievements" to them, they would assume he was a Republican.

  20. I have to admit, the most fun part of watching Trump play the left is that he'll say something the left considers outrageous, the left goes on for a week or so on how outrageous he is, (while ignoring the real issues of the day) they then let themselves get excited that they might actually finally "have him", and then the truth comes out deflating the whole thing:

Nunes: Trump transition members were under surveillance during Obama administration

To be honest, it's not dissimilar as to how the unhinged right was played during the Obama era. It's just nice to see Trump using the same tactic on the left for a change.

  21. I've heard it said that Comey will keep the investigations going as long as he can to avoid being canned because it would look like Trump is retaliating for investigating him. Nice ploy, but I think if Trump has had enough, Comey is out the door.

  22. As director of the FBI, Comey was appointed in 2013. His term is one 10 year stint. After that cave in with O, Lynch, Bubba, and Co, he lost respect by the agents and administrators.

Now, by his actions, he is a dem hack, and a big giant hemorrhoid in the Administration. (1)If he stays, he will work within to destroy Trump's presidency. (2) If he is fired, or put on heat to leave, the dems will hammer on him.

I say cut out the hemorrhoid, take the heat, and seize the initiative. Trump needs to isolate him, stand him up to ridicule, and destroy him. In other words, Alinsky him. Two can play the game as well as one.

  23. @Readers- Well, it looks like we all hold Mr. Comey in the same low regard, which is hardly a shock. Between his testimony and the Democrats attempting to derail Gorsuch, I just don't want to hear from Washington any more than I have to. Not that we'll get any respite on Thursday, when the vote on the healthcare bill may take place.

On a different note, I was saddened by the terror attack in London...and entirely unsurprised at who was behind it. My own daughter has been on that bridge in the past (just like about every other tourist in England), and the thought of this monster mowing innocents down is sickening.

On a much more trivial note, I think the legibility of the site (with font size, etc) has been improved. So far, though, I can't find a way to boost the size of the font in this reader comment area. Sorry if anyone develops crow's feet from squinting at their screens!

  25. I am on a smartphone and the font size is just fine. The background pink stripes, on the other hand, are a little annoying.

  26. @Geoff King- I just made an adjustment to the mobil version which should remove the stripes. Until you mentioned it, I didn't know that was happening.

  27. I like the current format.

Not much to say regarding yesterday's events in London. It's the "new normal". And as London's Muslim mayor Sadiq Khan has said in the recent past, this sort of thing is just "part and parcel" of living in a big city. I supposed it's little different conceptually than 14-year-old high school freshman girls being brutally raped in school bathrooms by 17 & 18-year-old illegal alien freshmen being just "part and parcel" of living in a grand multicultural "sanctuary" state.

Speaking of, if that poor girl had just taken a variation of Queen Victoria's alleged advice to just close your eyes and think of multiculturalism and had just acquiesced to the sexual advances of the two "dreamers" at the onset, it wouldn't have been "rape" and everyone would have been better off, don't you think?

An outrageous point of view? Absolutely! But isn't that exactly what Sadiq Khan and his fellow Progressives are saying to us? Hey, terrorism and rape are just inevitable parts of the big picture, so it would be easier on yourself everyone if you just accept that and otherwise get on with your lives. If you can.

  30. @John the Econ: Your link to the story about those two punks who raped the girl proves once again what I have said for many years, perhaps even here, "Some people are alive simply because it is against the law to shoot them."

  31. I did enjoy listening to Gowdy lecture Comey about how all this BS is being used. Clarity personified It's just too bad Gowdy didn't also take a ruler to Comey's knuckles. It was that real.
