Well...I am just today having a White Christmas. Not the usual Libbie concept of only Caucasians surrounding me, but SNOW falling on everything as it is prone to do. Up till now it's just been cold as a well-digger's ankles, but no snow...lo and behold it's made it up to 13 degrees and snowing. Can't see Pikes Peak for the snow! I hope everyone got their Christmas Corvettes and Jags...I got longjohns and couldn't be happier! Here comes New Years, no reason to get sober till after the 1st! Be safe everyone.
I don't know on which side of Pike's Peak you live, but it's been perfectly visible from my house all day. Darn it. I was hopeful a few hours ago when the snow was trying to fall, but it's given that up long since. Darn it. BTW, I'm a few blocks east of Colorado College...
At the Econ home, we had the literal white Christmas. Had to clear the front of snow 3 times on Christmas day. If this is "global warming", then I'm really scared of what the alternative might be.
Oh--I wasn't up yet at that time. So we have no snow, no white Christmas, no white Boxing Day. When I moved here 26-1/2 years ago, I thought we'd see snow. I think it's my fault there's no snow. I apologize.
No apologizing necessary! The cold is a cruel form of suffering for a 7 year Colorado resident from southwestern Texas. Being outside instead of indoors ooohing over the pretty white covering is a stark reminder why our ancestors migrated south during the Ice Age last! I get the somber feelings on Game of Thrones when anyone says, with deep trepidation, "Winter is Coming!". Stay warm. :)
Merry CHRISTmas, to the whole Stilton clan.
