Driven a Fraud Lately?

stilton’s place, stilton, political, humor, conservative, cartoons, jokes, hope n’ change, kavanaugh, supreme court, sexual, attack, confirmation, lawyer

No matter what your politics, you have to salute the strength and courage of a woman who, despite the formidable forces against her and the risk to her reputation, agrees to give testimony to the Senate Judiciary Committee reviewing the wildly contentious Kavanaugh matter.

Of course, we're not referring to Christine Blasey Ford, whom we sympathetically believe to have significant psychological issues which are being cruelly exploited by the Left. Rather, we're talking about Dr. Ford's lifetime friend, Leland Ingham Keyser, who was recently named as a witness present at the infamous party at which an attack may or may not have occurred.

In written testimony which carries a criminal penalty if not true, Ms. Keyser said she "does not know Mr. Kavanaugh and has no recollection of ever being at a party or gathering where he was present, with or without Dr. Ford."

It's worth noting that, besides being Dr. Ford's friend, Ms. Keyser is a longtime Democrat who presumably would be happy to torpedo Kavanaugh if it could be done without committing perjury. Although it's certainly possible that she's simply an honorable person who puts doing the right thing above politics. In either event, we predict she's going to need to find a whole new circle of friends soon - and probably hire security to ensure her personal safety.

This makes a total of four "witnesses" named by Dr. Ford, all of whom say the incident never happened.

In legal terms, we believe this entire matter has more than met the definition of farce majeure and needs to be wrapped up as soon as possible, with justice for Judge Kavanaugh and an extended and hopefully beneficial stay at Happy Acres for his accuser.

BREAKING: UPCHUCK UPDATE

No doubt because Christine Blasey Ford's story has fallen apart, a NEW "victim" of Kavanaugh has suddenly come forth with recovered memories which even she admits are pretty hazy based on being blind drunk at the time of the alleged incident.

According to reports, Deborah Ramirez (a Democrat- surprise!) wasn't sure who waggled a weenie in her direction at a party in a Yale dorm room 35 years ago when she was incoherent, but after consulting with a lawyer for a week, she's miraculously "remembered" that it was 18-year-old Long Dong Kavanaugh.

Bullshit.

This time, the "victim" says there was a roomful of witnesses. The problem? They all say that it never happened. So we're going to go out on a limb here and say that, while we think Dr. Ford likely has mental problems, Ramirez sounds like an opportunistic liar.

Enough. The vote on Kavanaugh should take place today, he should be sworn in by week's end, and afterwards no one nominated for any position by a Democrat should be approved for anything ever again.

This whole thing has gone way beyond the pail. And no, we didn't spell "pale" wrong - we meant that the perfidy of the Leftists makes us puke so violently that it doesn't all hit the bucket.

It really bothers me that everyone keeps referring to this Ford as "Dr." Ford. According to the AP Stylebook, that title is usually reserved for MDs, and only then when it's relevant; for example, "Dr. Joe Smoe says he's cured herpes," but not in other contexts; for example, "School Board Present Joe Smoe says herpes are out of control at More Science High School."

At this hour, the Ramirez allegations have already fallen apart. We'll see what tomorrow brings. It's going to be a long week.

Bonus points for anybody who gets the "More Science High School" reference.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2018/09/23/us/politics/brett-kavanaugh-christine-blasey-ford-testify.html

The Times had interviewed several dozen people over the past week in an attempt to corroborate her story, and could find no one with firsthand knowledge. Ms. Ramirez herself contacted former Yale classmates asking if they recalled the incident and told some of them that she could not be certain Mr. Kavanaugh was the one who exposed himself.

  12. Am both angered, dismayed and furious at what is being allowed to happen.

Angered as I see this circus as playing into the hands of the neo-fascists in the democratic party who want to delay and obstruct until they get their Senate & House majorities back. And it may be working. There was an article I saw last night abt a poll taken that shows more people are now less comfortable with the Trump SCOTUS nominee. So much for the 'wisdom' of the masses.

But there is the other side. All this has shown why there is a need to not just drain the swamp, but pave it over. And if handled well enough, al this is giving the neo-fascists and their enemedia enablers enough rope to hang themselves and I dearly hope energizes enough voters in November to throw some of them out 0f office.

Last, for those who can access it, there is an excellent OpEd in today's WSJ titled;" Why the Left is Consumed with Hate"

@Fish: Generally not in news writing, as refereed by "The Associated Press Stylebook and Libel Manual." I spent 20 years in journalism, and later got a Ph.D. (in a STEM subject), and I wouldn't expect to have that mentioned in an article having nothing to do with my field. Also, the Stylebook forbids repeated use of the title after first mention. Using it, repeatedly, looks like an attempt to give her more credibility, which is why it bothers me.

Deb Ramirez says "...and his hips coming forward, like when you pull up your pants.” I've been a guy for most of my life, and when I pull up my pants my hips go BACKWARDS because there's something "in the way" of pulling them up... why the hell would I want to put it in the way of my pants rising? I admit that WOMEN might bring the hips forward, but THAT is so they can get their fat ASS into the pants, but not a MAN! (well, lamont insane obama might bring hips forward, but we KNOW why that is.)
VPCF, Wow, I am duly impressed... a Ph.D., and you don't "wave it around" like Turd Kennedy's penis in a Hyannis Port Saloon! (BTW, got MY PhD at Home Depot on the day they had a sale on Post hole Diggers.)

  23. Fish Out of Water said, "If she has a PhD, she's entitled to be addressed as "Dr"."

In the case of Ms. Ford it reminds me of the two cowboys walking past a city office building with a gentleman's name painted on the door, followed by the initials B.S.-M.S.- and PhD.

First cowboy asks the second, "What do you suppose all those letters mean?"

Second cowboy replies, "Well we BOTH know what B.S. is. M.S. must mean More of the Same. And Phd must mean Piled High and Deeper!"

I think that pretty well sums up the Kavanaugh hit job.

  27. Regarding the excellent cartoon today. If "every woman tells the absolute truth every single time", what about the 65 women who knew Judge Kavanaugh during the times in question and have come out very publicly in his support? Are they not to be believed, and if not why not? I'd like to see someone in the so-called media ask these and the appropriate follow-up questions. Not holding my breath, only my nose at this point. The stench of lying hypocrisy is overwhelming.

  29. So this is now where we've arrived: Accusations of alleged poor personal behavior by drunken teenagers that took place over a third-of-a-century ago based upon repressed memories that cannot place the act or actors at any particular time or place and have been denied by practically everyone who might have even been there are enough to bring the business of state to a complete stop.

And then the accuser, who felt strongly enough about this to send letters to various officials then places all kinds of roadblocks between her and the telling of her story to the people who matter.

This is not to say that we are in favor of having our government lead by entitled former drunken gropey teenagers. I'd love it if we could purge Congress of the likes of any Kennedy, Cory Booker or Keith Ellison. But that's clearly not going to happen.

What we really are seeing here is the full-on weaponization of what the Democrats started over a quarter century ago with Robert Bork and Clarence Thomas: Drive-by character assassination. No evidence or collaboration necessary. Just find someone out of 300-million willing to make an accusation, then add oxygen and fan the flames for the outrage industry. This will work, because no Progressive will ever be made to quantify their accusations to any worthwhile standard. Meanwhile, accusations of poor behavior by Progressives will continue to be denied or just ignored, just as they currently are for Booker, Ellison, or the 66 million people who voted for Hillary Clinton.

This is why the Kavanaugh nomination must go forward. If these tactics are allowed to succeed, we will never see another non-Progressive elected or appointed in our lifetimes.

In the meantime, this all kinda makes me want to run for office. I'm genuinely curious as to what kind of crimes I might have committed when I was 17. They might make my past so interesting that I might wish I'd actually lived it.

Maybe Shrillary doesn't give enough of a shit about Kavanagh to turn loose of some dirty money?

@TrickyRicky- I agree. Shouldn't the women testifying in favor of Kavanaugh "be heard?"

@Anonymous- Well, there goes your seat on the Supreme Court.

@John the Econ- Excellent summation of this miserable situation.

@Bobo- I agree that these posturing politicians should be held to the same moral standards they're currently pretending to care about. In a country as big as ours, is it really impossible to find exemplary people to work in Washington - or is it such a cesspool that only turds can really thrive there anymore?

@Sortahwitte- I would give the stink eye to anyone who accused me of being a Republican. I embrace being a Conservative openly and proudly. But screw the GOP (to put it bluntly). Also, thanks for the interesting horticultural instruction (grin).

@Fred Ciampi- Do you have a neighbor who suddenly fenced off 10 acres...?

@ringgo1- Just wait right here with Artie Choke until Deputy Dan brings you your points.

    @Sortahwitte- Oorah!

@Colby Muenster- The painful truth is that Kavanaugh's accusers don't even need to be convincing. They just need to be trotted out long enough for more "investigations" to go on and stall Kavanaugh's confirmation until after the mid-terms. Which is starting to look like a likelihood.

  45. I see two reasons for all of this crap.

The case, the details of which bear a striking similarity to the accusations against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, provides a precedent should his accusers be found to have made false claims against him.

While here, I was thinking those four accused witnesses could also file defamation suits as it will probably affect Their careers. Four different suits please

Sorry I'm a little late to the party. But I definitely can confirm I saw Kavanaugh with Busty Ross at a party when I was in high school....but then that would make them pretty young. Ok, forget that. I definitely saw them both at a party when I was in college, but then...they would probably only be 8 years old. Ok, forget that. I definitely saw them both at a party when I was stationed in Washington D.C. while I was a Navy Pilot, at a college party doing drugs, having sex, and giving homage to the Republican Party. So there, yeah, that was it.

If anyone doubts my story, all I can say, "It wasn't me, you didn't see me do it, and you can't prove a thing."
