Rear Ended on the Hershey Highway

stilton’s place, stilton, political, humor, conservative, cartoons, jokes, hope n’ change, brzezinski, morning joe, butt boy, homophobic, pompeo, bitch

Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski (whose last name is the single most valuable word you can play in Scrabble) made an unfortunate on-air faux pas Wednesday, when she called Secretary of State Mike Pompeo "a wannabe dictator's butt boy."

It's another case in which if you scratch a liberal (and frankly, we think that's always a good idea), you quickly find the kind of deep-rooted intolerance and bigotry that they accuse others of having.

Here at Stilton's Place, we're unapologetically Gay-friendly and would never think of using a homophobic slur to demean someone with whom we disagree politically. Not that Brzezinski limited herself to that - just for good measure, she also questioned whether Pompeo's comments (about the Saudi Crown Prince's possible involvement in the highly kinetic killing of dissident journalist Jamal "Surprise Party" Khashoggi) were "the words of a patriot."

Mika later acknowledged that her insinuation that Pompeo is some kind of treasonous ankle-grabber represented a "super bad choice of words."

Pretty much like everything else that comes out of her mouth.

  1. So, are Mika and Joe Bob out of the running for hosting the oscars? Asking for a friend.

  2. It's one thing to think things like what she said, or perhaps to say things like that among close friends jokingly in a private setting. But to say it live on TV on a national news network, and being paid $Millions to do so, is completely outrageous!

She should be fired, with extreme prejudice!

  4. Why does Mika look like she’s constantly smelling something unpleasant (like Pelosi’s colostomy bag, for example)? And why does her husband’s comically gigantic forehead (think either Beavis or Butthead) always appear to be on the verge of a nasty gigantic explosion? Inquiring minds want to know.

  5. Hey, Mika... You forgot "Butt Pirate", "Nancy Boy", "Uphill Gardener", "Shirt Lifter", "Rump Ranger", "Pickle Smoocher", "Sperm Gurgler", "Bone Smuggler", "Ass Assassin", "Poofter" and "Sausage Jockey". I mean, hell... don't you have a thesaurus with the word "Faggot" in it? Just tryin' to help here, Babushka!

  6. Looks like 'Psycho Joe's dog, Mika, has been sniffing butts again. She has a really cold wet nose and folks find it offensive. She should be off the air till Monday, when she'll return as Santa's Helper.

  10. I heard Cathy Lee is retiring. Since her show will need some new blood, why not Mika uncensored? It will be great, and the guy that pushes the button that bleeps the curse words will need something for their arthritis. That's good sponsor material. She can even keep her husband to sit behind her and tell her how wonderful she is.

  14. Dims always resort to vulgar name calling when someone disagrees with them. I think it is in their Hypocritical Oath.
Unfortunately for them, what once was hurtful rhetoric when hurled at us conservatives, is now causing a lot of us to become desensitized.
I am reaching the point where being called a racist by a disgruntled lefty feels almost like a Badge of Honor.

  15. With few exceptions, there is no honor left in journalism. This blog is one of the exceptions. Yay.

  16. @M. Mitchell Marmel- Wouldn't that be a dream come true?

@Sortahwitte- I assume this takes them off the list.

@Jim G- I'm not a fan of the current "one and done" climate in which a single remark can end a career (unless it's absolutely unforgivable). However, it is appropriate for someone being paid millions to flap her mouth to be disciplined and penalized by her employer for an egregious offense.

@Dan- I'm willing to let Biden off the hook on this one since he said "butt buddy" with love.

@Section147- There is a fascinating condition called synesthesia in which sensory wires get crossed. People can "see" sounds, and words have colors. I think something similar is happening with Mika, and she does smell the stench of the imagined wrongdoing around her.

@Bruce Bleu- Looks like you're not hosting the Oscars either!

@Elezar Doulos- I haven't checked this morning to see if Mika is back on the air. She took the day off (owing to a "long-scheduled family event") the day after her on-air fiasco. She really should have a couple of weeks off, without pay, to think about what "professionalism" means.

@Anonymous- The button itself works, but is it connected to explosive liberal rage on the other end? I'm betting she gets a free pass on this.

@sergio- Clever Scabble players turn an "N" sideways when they need an extra "Z."

@Jim Irre- She has stained the family's unpronounceable name.

@Anonymous- You tempt me to make a seamen joke, but I have higher standards than that.

@Jess- I'm pretty sure network execs (many of whom read this blog religiously) will be acting on your suggestion!

@Colby Muenster- Yep. As usual, if you were to flip the political affiliations you'd be seeing a WAY different reaction.

@REM1875- It's okay for Libs to hate because they mean well.

@Roger Myers- Seriously, I get a hand cramp every time I try to type her name.

@Geoff King- I agree. Words like "racist," "sexist," "homophobe," "Nazi," "fascist" and all the rest lose their meaning when they're misused and overused. And has often been said, when you hear one of those words you pretty much know you've just won an argument with a liberal.

  20. "synesthesia in which sensory wires get crossed" Hmm. Didn't know there was a name for being able to tell someone when something tastes like a color -- but I can. Example: Thyme tea tastes green -- very green.

  21. Bad news: only one "Z" in Scrabble, and you can't use names.

As has been said many, many times: if it weren't for double standards, liberals would have no standards at all.

  22. Just another slavering, barking, progressive attack dog. Yawn.

  23. So what date is her ritual firing scheduled to take place?

I hear you, @Stilton. But, by the same token, I demand they apply the same standards and metrics to their own that they apply to others. A ritual firing, complete with all the media hype fanfare, is required here.

  24. Fun fact: the English word "minion" comes from the French "mignon" ("sweetheart, darling"), which was applied to the...pretty young men who hung out with the notoriously effeminate Henri III (1551 - 1589). It carried, at the time, the definite connotation of "butt boy". Keep that in mind when you're reading Elizabethan/Jacobean literature...

    ReplyDelete
  25. Since I don't watch Squinty and Meat Puppet, I could care less what they say. Still and all, we can see the double standard clearly as far away as Hawaii (or one of the farthest away of the 57 states).

@Emmentaler Limburger - Good luck with that.

  26. One of the side effects of the Trump era and the Trump Derangement Syndrome that it has spawned is that the left has become reckless and simply unable to hide their personal biases and hate that they typically ascribe to everyone else. These biases and hate have always existed, but most of these leftists have rationalized that since they are aware of their biases and hate, they are intellectually and morally superior to everyone else because of this awareness. And since this awareness makes them so intellectually and morally superior, they assume that everyone must suffer from thee same biases they do. The rest of us are moral inferiors because we don't acknowledge these strong biases in ourselves that everyone must obviously have, because they do. It's all rather circular. It's classic "projection".

I first started thinking about this in conjunction with Progressives a quarter century ago in the early '90s with Hillary's "Politics of Meaning" nonsense, where she expressed her wokeness in a way that was clearly a revelation to her with an assumption that absolutely nobody else had come to these conclusions, like all people should be respected as human beings, even the ones that clean her toilets. This incredible insight in her mind gave her the unique moral authority to assert power over the rest of us who were clearly too stupid to understand it, even though it was something that in reality most people had already learned by the age of 5. The rest of us just stared at her thinking "Who the hell appointed you god for discovering the obvious?".

But beyond the psychology of all of this, there is the simple power-play. So the point is that when Progressives such as Mika Brzezinski (which, even though being a killer play in Scrabble, Google's spell check actually recognizes) uses supposed homosexual slurs to insult someone that all proper thinking people are supposed to hate, she'll get a pass. It will blow by not just because most Progressives agree with their internal biases involving homosexuality even though they'll admit expressing them is wrong, but mainly because for the time being Mika Brzezinski is simply too important a cog in the Progressive media machine to be held to any standard that would be applied to the rest of us. Contrast this to relatively minor media figure Kevin Hart (a black man, no less) who was quickly dispatched to the woodshed for 7-year-old homophobic tweets.

There is nothing a Progressive can do to permanently destroy their career as long as they are faithful to the Progressive agenda. Progressives will have forgotten about Mika's slurs by the weekend, if they haven't already. They'll forget about Kevin Hart too. Expect to see Kevin beginning to do benefits for AIDS, UnPlanned-UnParenthood, or some other Progressive issues to get back into prime-time. I even predict that the day will come when Harvey Weinstein will be permitted back into police Progressive company after an adequate period of penitence and making some movies assaulting the NRA or glorifying abortion.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Simply put, Progressives will always accuse Conservatives of harboring their own sins. The more they scream racist, misogynist, bigot, etc... the more you can be sure that is how THEY feel.

  30. I must confess that I, too, have used a slur and must remove myself from consideration for the job of hosting the oscars. When I was 7 years of age and in the 2nd grade, I learned a new word on the playground during recess. I learned a lot of new words at elementary school recess, but that's another story for another time. I arrived home that day, eager to use that word in a sentence. I looked at my brother and said: "how you doin' queer bait?" I was yanked off my feet and the ass whipping began. My dad punctuated each swat with a word. You. will. never. use. that. word. again. My butt was stinging and my nose began to bleed. My mom shoved a wet rag in my face and said to get outside.

So, when the academy comes calling I will have to disappoint my fans. But, I've never used that word since. As I typed the word just now, I was looking over my shoulder to see if my dad was there. He died in 1955 from injuries received in a car wreck, but he still watches out for me.

  31. So, now Californication wants to tax people for sending text messages. The dimwits in charge noticed they were losing revenue from people no longer requiring landlines so, in their infinite idiocy, they wish to to put a further burden on their already overly taxed citizenry.
Not really giving a damn about Ca., normally I would say "who cares?", but as this is driving an ever increasing number of Left Coast fruitcakes and snowflakes to move to other states, such as Stilton's Texas and my beloved Arizona - ALONG WITH THEIR ATTITUDES AND POLITICS, I say build the wall along Mexico and then all the way along the California State Line as well.

  32. Boy. Am I glad I will soon start a new adventure. The lunacy that we are inundated with every day is just mind boggling. This talking head nitwit probably doesn't think she said anything wrong since it was directed at a person not of her philosophy. To me, the networks that put on these idiotic money losing talking head shows are certainly not taking their stock holders into consideration.
Now, this gal, whoever she is, will get four awards and a raise.

  35. Geoff King, it's highly doubtful California will be able to tax texts. Earlier this week, the FCC classified texting as “information services” rather than "telecommunications services."

  36. @Anonymous- Remember when Stephen Colbert got fired for calling Trump Putin's "cock holster?" Neither do I.

@MAJ Arkay- It's a real thing. My wife used to have it strongly in her youth. Sounds like you may have some too!

@Chuck Baker (Macon)- If you can't use names in Scrabble, how come I never get called on playing "BOB" or "BILL"? (grin)

@TrickyRicky- And I believe there's an additional word to use if the attack dog is a female...

@Emmentaler Limburger- Yeah, that ritual firing will totally happen (snerk). And I agree that the same standards should apply to both sides, which isn't currently the case. But I'd rather NOBODY gets fired for a one-off remark on either side.

@Stinking Bishop- See, that's the kind of detail that makes history interesting! Next time, we'll discuss "Catherine the Great and the Substandard Pulley."

@Anonymous- Lord knows that I don't watch these idiots, either. I only mention it to show (for the bajillionth time) the low quality of "news" commentary the liberal masses are sucking up.

@John the Econ- Very well put and absolutely right.

@Tots- It's among the truest of truths: Progressives accuse us unfairly of what they're actually guilty of.

@Fred Ciampi- Let me be the first on record to say I'm against firing squads as a punishment for saying something offensive. I may be cheesy, but I'd rather not add "Swiss cheese" to my obituary.

@anthony arrigo- What an affirmative remark!

    @Jason Anyone- Nice!

@Sortahwitte- Back in the day, parents had very effective ways of communicating what words were not considered appropriate. And very sorry about your Dad's passing.

@Geoff King- It seems like in California, they can always come up with ideas on how to tax more, but NEVER get ideas about how to spend less. I hate to think of how complicated it would be to institute a text tax. Do you charge by the number of texts or the number of words? Is an emoticon by itself a text? Idiots.

@James Daily- What's this new adventure you're referring to?

@Fish Out of Water- You're right that this legal/moral hypocrisy goes back a long, long way.

@Regnad Kcin- Ironically, "Brzezinski" is the sound her strap-on makes when it has fresh batteries.

@MAJ Arkay- Oh, great - now California will get the idea to impose an information tax!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Speaking of California, when will some of our "conservative" groups and organizations band together and start suing the crap out of the state and local governments for stupid policies? Obviously the voice of the people doesn't matter since the Cali supreme court can overturn ballot measures voted for by the Cali people. Our side has started using lawfare, but we really need to shift into high gear.

How about some investigative branches of those groups and organizations check into, for example, graft and kickbacks with the bullet train to nowhere?

There's a bunch of lip service, but it seems like, outside of some blogs and their commenters, no one at the upper echelons of the "conservative" movement really gives a crap until you get to President Trump.

  38. @Stilon: When he was in charge of the WSJ's daily column, The Best of the Web, James Taranto always ended anything he wrote about the "lion" of the Senate with, 'Mary Jo Kopechne was not available for comment '.

    ReplyDelete
  39. @Geoff King, typical example of the Progressive War on the Middle Class: The rich don't care about another minor tax on a consumer good that will affect them in no materially measurable way, the poor will get bought off with more subsidies, and the middle class are left with the bill.

Also another example of Progressivism making something more affordable by making it more expensive.

Also why the middle class is fleeing California and and infecting the rest of red America like a virus. States like Colorado were turned a generation ago. Now the remaining libertarian states are showing signs of the infection.

@Fish Out of Water, great example. If you can defend Ted Kennedy, what won't you tolerate?
The blessing is that outside of Massachusetts, Kennedy worship was muted enough to prevent an actual Russian collaborator from becoming President.

Gay Slurs: I find it interesting that Progressives like Mika have always feet free to use these slurs. Like many conservatives, I've had Progressives retort that my opinion was basically worthless for no better reason than because I was just another "teabagger", as if that was some sort of actual argument, or would somehow offend me.

As I am not a homosexual and do not go out of my way to be familiar with homosexual sexual practices, I still don't even know the literal meaning of the term beyond understanding that it's a reference to a specific sex act between two men. So why would someone think that calling people like me "teabaggers" would somehow be meaningful or personally offend me or otherwise get under my skin, or would even somehow cause other people to regard my opinion as any less valid than theirs? I really don't get it.

Beyond the obvious hypocrisy of why it is okay for avowed Progressives to use a purposely demeaning and offensive slur against people they not only disagree with, but very obviously "hate", what purpose does repeatedly slinging this clearly misdirected term serve? Do they honestly think that I am so insecure in my sexuality that upon hearing it I am going to go run and hide under my bed?

If it does anything, it demonstrates how utterly clueless they are about conservatives, how they feel, and what they really think. Or if they do know better, it only demonstrates the contempt they have for their own clueless audience. It's as if none of them actually know any "conservatives", (or homosexuals for that matter) what they think and believe. Could they really actually be that clueless?

Also, it shows their mindless contempt for homosexuals who might honestly find "teabagging" to be an intimate, loving and caring thing to do.

In order for propaganda to be effective, you must know your enemy. Clearly, people who mindlessly use this term do not. If anything, it's proof that they are running on emotion over rhetoric, and letting their blind hate do their thinking for them. Rather embarrassing, I think.

As far as I can tell, it only makes them look shallow, hateful, vacuous, ignorant, insensitive (to one of their favorite identity groups no less) and just plain dumb; everything they are attempting to convince others that they are not.

  40. John the Econ, excellent comment.
I notice that to the "Minority Rights" supporting leftists anyone who doesn't fall in line with their agenda is fair target. If you happen to be black and conservative for instance, racial slurs such as Uncle Tom or House N****r among other are fine to use.

I'm reminded that in his early run for the presidency to racists like not-so-Sharp-ton and Jack-ass-son even Obama wasn't black enough.
It seems to me we have a Caste system in this country among the progressives,
...honestly, regressives. Let's call them what they really are.

    ReplyDelete
  41. @john the econ

'teabagging' is not like holding hands in the moonlight, it's more in line with aberrant get-off things males do for a thrill...gay males particularly.
Using the name "Teaparty" in such a way is so nasty and disrespectful, like using sexual profanity openly in front of grannies and little kids ...on say prime time news shows.
It is an over the line insult...if someone grinned and called me a teabagger face to face, peaceful non-violent lil' ol' me would punch them hard in the face.
    Just sayin'...
