Okay, we may be a day late to the party but we couldn't ignore St. Paddy's Day entirely. After all, our paternal grandfather was 100% Irish, straight from County Cork. So our heart beats a little faster on March 17th, which we choose to think of as proud traditionalism rather than troubling and potentially deadly arrhythmia.
But turning serious for a moment, our heart genuinely does ache over the senseless and appalling massacre which took place in New Zealand, and was executed by a madman who played the whole thing as a social media event, including live-streaming murders and writing a lengthy, baffling, and self-contradicting manifesto designed to stoke argument, anger, and division. Let us be very, very clear about something: this piece of human garbage killed innocent people specifically to get his sick views noticed and talked about. Which is why we're not doing it and never will. Screw this lunatic, and anyone who would use his acts for political leverage. Our hearts are with the people of Christchurch, New Zealand. All the people.
But to lighten today's post a bit, let's take a look at what happened when Chelsea Clinton tangled with protesters at an NYU vigil for the New Zealand victims...
You don't need a Hubbell telescope to notice she's growing into her real father's bottom lip... |
• Are tweets really that frigging important? To anyone?
• Does the radical left really think that anti-semitism is a winning play going into 2020 elections?
• Why the hell is a 39 year old woman hanging around vigils on a college campus instead of staying home caring for her kids, her private servers, and her secret bank accounts?
Frankly, we enjoy watching the Left devour its own, so really have no problem with this stupid story. Or, for that matter, this stupid story...
"I was only suggesting that she share her wealth." |
In a way Busty I salute you ........green lacy things would not match that red .......better that ya stay nekid under that dress ..........
ReplyDeleteOne thing I found heartening about the aftermath of the massacre is that on news reports showing the miserable cretan responsible for the horror, his face is blurred out. Perhaps as required by New Zealand law, but still, some all news outlets could have thought of in past mass shootings here.
ReplyDeleteHaha, well olroight. Top o' the morning to yez.
ReplyDeleteI do send my sympathy to all who suffered as a result of the NZ shootings.
I also note the knee jerk reaction of the NZ PM, and that was to blame the guns and press for stricter gun control. Here in UK we have draconian gun control, so there is now a spate of knife crime instead. Bad dudes will use whatever is available and, surprisingly to politicians, don't tend to obey the law
What harleyvol said. Plus, I do remember learning that the very first murder was committed with a rock. Soooooo, should we ban rocks?
ReplyDeleteGood stuff. It's nice to see you're back on track after the DST change. I'm not quite there yet; or maybe it's just the way things been goin'... done wore me out. On the good side it does seem not just on calendar but outside that Winter is about over.
ReplyDeleteOn the tweets: Without them, we would not have a clue on our President. This is the only outlet he can use to keep the faithful abreast of what is happening. His is the only ones I regularly read and that is second hand as I do not have a Tweet account to my knowledge.
ReplyDeleteOn Chelsea: It is quite telling that I have never seen a picture of Slick Willie nor have I ever read that he has visited his "grandchildren". It must gall heil out of him that his stolen accumulation will probably go in that direction. Payback.
On Bernie: That injury is weird as I have never heard of that happening but of course, I shower alone. Seven stitches? Yea, this is equivalent to Harry's being attached by a weight machine.
I thought her daddy was janet reno. However, those people had best be cool about threatening her. The law firm of Arkancide and Howe might land on them with both feet.
ReplyDelete@REM1875- It's likely her commando training.
ReplyDelete@Fish Out of Water- I agree. This miserable mofo wanted attention, and it should be denied to him in every possible way. The event itself must be reported, but I don't think releasing his manifesto is a good idea. Granted, the guy did it himself, but media outlets shouldn't be making it easier to find his hate-filled screed.
@Brie Camembert- Guns can up the efficiency of a murder spree, but they're only a tool. Bombs and hijacked jets can be even more destructive. Knives can be impressively deadly. The problem is the evil intent of the wielder.
@harleyvol- Excellent point. I don't think the media gives a flying fart about the killings of Christians. They care only about advancing a narrative, and in this case the killer threw them raw meat by talking about guns and Trump because he knew the media would then spread his message of hate. And he was right.
@Fred Ciampi- I'm sure that there are politicians dumb enough to try banning rocks. Has anyone suggested it to AOC yet?
@Rod- Truth be told, I'm still feeling the effects of DST, but every day gets a little better. I wonder what the actual cost in lost productivity is owing to these time changes?
@James Daily- I have very mixed feelings about Twitter. The messages (from anyone) are too short to be genuinely substantive, yet in our short attention span world, a lot of people seem to think they're getting all the information they need. Trump's tweets are, um, unique and do give us a direct line to his brain - which can be alternately amusing, enlightening, inspiring, or terrifying. Case in point: he wants a federal investigation of Saturday Night Live?! Sorry, but that's just idiocy. On the other hand, he's right about the wall and much else.
Regarding Chelsea, I absolutely believe she's Webb Hubbell's kid. The Clintons knew they needed a child for their political ambitions, but there was a little rub: after raping Juanita Broaddrick, Bill told her not to worry about pregnancy because childhood mumps had left him sterile. Those with long memories may recall that when Broaddrick made this allegation publicly, the Secret Service had to pull Hillary off of Bill after she threw a lamp at him in the White House. Biologically speaking, I'm pretty sure Bill has no kids or grandkids.
Regarding Bernie, I'm not really understanding how this injury could have happened the way he describes it. More likely, he attended a lecture on economics and sustained the injury when he fell asleep and his head smacked into the desk.
@Sortahwitte- Technically, Janet Reno only held the turkey baster. Bonus: free vibration!
No matter who the biological father of Chelsea might be, it was certainly an instance of artificial insemination......I mean....REALLY....ewwww.
ReplyDeleteRegarding the Nigerians being murdered: Not only are they Christians, they're black Christians. There used to be a saying in Fleet Street: Fifty wogs equal one frog, and twenty frogs equal one Brit. In other words, a non-white Third World citizen was one-thousandth as important as a nice pink Englishman or -woman.
ReplyDeleteIn fairness, the press has gotten a lot better since that rule of thumb was in vogue, but it still reports the news according to its biases. And "Muslims killing Christians" is "dog bites man."
By the way, it was nice to hear from and see Ms. Ross. Absence does make the heart grow fonder. Hubba, hubba.
ReplyDeleteWRT Bernie's head injury, I'd like to think of it as the result of someone trying to beat some sense into him.
ReplyDeleteI call B.S.! He fell and banged his head. Just like hildebeast's numerous medical problems, we will never hear about Bermie's. The commie man of the people has become one of the protected class.
ReplyDeleteGood to see the return of Ms. Ross. Mmmmm... And, of course, the lefty-tards are still proving the fact that liberalism is an uncurable mental illness. When your enemy is busy shooting himself, don't offer to correct his aim unless it's to prevent a waste of ammo....
ReplyDeleteIs it just me, or didn't Harry Reid have a noggin' whack around when he fell out of favor with the DNC ans was summarily retired? (Yeah, yeah. They say HE retired, but we have seen leftist in office WELLLLLL past their dotage.) Perhaps Bernie has outlived his usefulness, and we'll soon hear of his retirement? Perhaps we can look forward to the branding of AOC, Tlaib, Omar and a few others, too?
ReplyDeleteOr maybe there's no correlation. Let's watch, shall we?
On the NZ shootings, apparently, it wasn't one guy acting alone as three others have been "detained". Frankly, anyone that would disturb any religious observation that does not involve human sacrifice goes beyond the pale. But, to the attacker, what could be a softer target? Most religious don't go to church armed (even in places where it is legal to do so - which is not Michigan, by the way). Soften it further by doing the deed in a locale that makes it overly difficult or impossible for good guys to go ANYWHERE armed, and...
Nice triple-triple, today, Stilton.
ReplyDeleteI have posted before, and will post again. If Democrats actually think passing some law will stop murders, why don't they just pass a law that makes it illegal to murder people? Problem solved, right?
ReplyDeleteBernie's lucky he escaped with a few stiches. Most folks who dared challenge The Queen ended up dead.
Anybody remember the shit Gerald Ford took from the media for being clumsy? Apparently Bernie, Shrillary and Harry Greed are off limits, eh?
udaman, naw. I think it was because Bernie was easier to "convince" than Harry Reid. Oh. Did you see where Bernie's campaign staff is going to be unionized? Not saying there's a connection, but...

And I think it's pretty hilarious that Donald Trump Jr. came riding to Chelsea's rescue.
You're an evil old man. I like that...
ReplyDeleteEmmentaler Limburger, Note the difference in the kill count at the two churches. What I heard was he got chased out of the second by an armed attendee...
ReplyDeleteHaven't seen it reported this side of the pond.
Loved the "real father" comment.
ReplyDeleteWhat ever happened to him?

This is sweet...if you haven't "seen" this, now ya can!

What do you call 50 dead Muslims in a place called Christchurch? A good start. Death to barbarian invaders!
ReplyDeleteIslam has been at war with the entire world for 1,400 years now. Fight back or perish.

I admit to being of two minds on this - on the one hand, not all Muslims are Evil.
ReplyDeleteOn the OTHER hand, *Islam* IS...
