Holiday Put On Ice

"Columbus Day" is now widely called "Indigenous Peoples Day," and even more widely called "White Shame Day" because so few people can spell indigenous. In celebration of the day, liberal scolds will berate their fellow citizens for the unforgivable sin of stealing the heritage of native Americans...after which those same scolds will hurry off to an Elizabeth Warren rally.

Which shouldn't come as any surprise - after all, "Indignant-est People Day" is all about hypocrisy...

Just to make sure no one forgets their enthusiasm for fascism, House democrats like John Garamendi and Rashida Tlaib are now actively planning the logistics of grabbing "uncooperative" members of the Trump administration and throwing them into the House jail if they don't help with the ongoing coup attempt.

The existence of this mysterious prison was confirmed last May by Nancy Pelosi, who said "We do have a little jail in the basement of the Capitol, but if we were arresting all of the people in the administration, we would have an overcrowded jail situation. And I'm not for that."

Note that she's not against clapping her political enemies in jail without due process...she's just against overcrowding. Which may not be a problem depending on just what comes out of the nozzles in the shower room.

Can't we just let bygones Zyklon B?

  3. My family always said that they ran out the conquistadors only to get 3 boatloads of portuguese wops in return. My family also says to never give up your guns. You will need them for the next set of invaders.

  4. In the previous Stilton Post (Thank you very much for your valued and sage analysis and commentary) the White House is pictured with two tanks on the lawn. M-1 A-1 Abrams Main Battle Tanks might better serve than the Russian Built T-90s as depicted. I am cert that US Armored Divisions would be far more likely to protect President Trump, even with his decision on Syrian withdrawal, than they would the sinistral, communist-like, democrat, traitor, criminal class. Regards and Good Luck!

  5. If 'they' talk about doing bad things to conservatives on social(ist) media, it's perfectly okay. If conservatives talk about repercussions 'we' are sent into social media jail. Hmmmm, something ain't right.

  6. @M. Mitchell Marmel - Bravo!

Here at the Hobo Compound we have taken to calling Columbus Day Evil White Guy Day

  7. And no matter how strongly they fight for more of this,

they can stand proud, with their heads held high and say "We don't celebrate Columbus or put kids in cages. (That was BamBam!)"

Truth hurts. But at least it won't kill ya.

  8. The house jail sounds like it might not keep a battalion of tanks from breaking someone out.

  9. @M. Mitchell Marmel- How right they were.

@Edam Wensleydale- Ouch! THAT one is going to leave a mark!

@Sortahwitte- Your family sounds like they know what they're talking about.

@Anonymous- Dang it! (grin) Yeah, I don't know doodly-squat about tanks so used an image that looked properly threatening and, I thought, neutral. But noooOOOooo, I had to use Russian tanks. Makes me feel a bit like the liberal numbnuts who show their ignorance of guns while simultaneously declaring that they should be in charge of our guns. Oh well, as long as I don't rack up too many other violations, hopefully I won't get my artistic license suspended.

@Fred Ciampi- I think you've detected a subtle hint of hypocrisy on the Left.

@Bobo the Hobo- But how do you tell it apart from the other364 Evil White Guy Days each year?

@Jason Anyone- Yeah, they don't put kids in cages, but have no problem caging anyone who stands in their way.

    @Jess- I suspect that's the case.

  10. Democrats willing to fill a jail? Wow. That's news.

  11. Anyone else notice the lack of Columbus Day sales?

    ReplyDelete
  12. @Michael: Harbor Freight is apparently unafraid to have a Columbus Day sale... ;-)

  13. @Boligat- Spot on. The entire recorded history of mankind is replete with conquest, subjugation, rape, pillage, and slavery. The natives of North America were NOT somehow above that paradigm. By the way, modern history (like as of yesterday) is no different. What makes the United States unique is that we HAVE largely risen above the fray, and through the miracle of individual freedom and private property, raised the standard of living throughout the world. Time will tell if this model of self-governance can withstand the repeated and increasingly violent assaults from within our ignorant and spoiled population.

  14. President Trump in pulling back, out of Syria is sending a message that is loud and clear that we are done fighting for other countries and all we get is debt, dead American soldiers, and a sharp stick in the eye. Iraq taught us that not all countries want freedom and democracy but are happy with feudalism and family rule. We lost a lot of soldiers in Afghanistan and we got and will get nothing from that as they went back to their old ways ASAP.

I have an idea that a lot of the military-industrial complex will be downsized accordingly as we will continue to upgrade and sell to other countries to let them kill their own which they would do with rocks and sticks anyways. When we became a net exporter of petroleum, the handwriting was on the wall. Right now, I doubt there are a dozen countries that would get help from us. We have our own problems. The Zyklon B is something that is being erased from history along with at least six million of our brothers and sisters.

  15. Jesus, lay off of poor old Columbus! He had the balls to do what he said he could do, namely prove you could reach the east by sailing west. (with the help of the Panama Canal) Wasn't his fault that the greedy corrupt leaders in Europe discovered that the peoples of our hemisphere had what they wanted, and didn't have any guns. Kind of like what our wanna-be leaders will do if they can manage to remove our guns.

  16. I understand that AOC is now for the abolition of jails. Why doesn't she start by eliminating one she actually has direct oversight of?

    ReplyDelete
  17. @John the Econ: AOC can't eliminate the House Jail; it would lose her the House Hypocrit Leader position she's trying for.

@M. Mitchell Marmel: Yeah, two of our local ammo/firearm retailers joined with Harbor Freight in a Columbus Day sale brochure that was delivered in the weekly throw-away last Wednesday. We didn't wait until today!

Now I'm off to celebrate Evil White Guy Day with my Italian and Spanish neighbors... we're having a spaghetti-and-tamale picnic.

  18. Geez, why do the liberals hate that movie director so much. Was Home Alone 2 really that bad?

But seriously folks, if Christopher Columbus hadn't landed here in 1492, it was only a matter of time before somebody else did it, with the same ultimate results. And didn't he go to his grave without a clue as to what he really found? Give the poor schmuck a break.

And shouldn't the libtards be more worried about present day subjugation (China, Iran, Norks, Sudan, etc.) instead of something that happened over 500 years ago? They don't seem to be bothered at all that women in Iran are basically enslaved animals.

    @M. Mitchell Marmel,
Put Harbor Freight up there with Chick-Fil-A. The people who shop there could give a rat's ass if some millennial dweebs are butt hurt by (gasp!) Columbus day!

  19. Only one problem that I probably missed...Columbus Day was Oct. 12...according to hysterical records. Things change all da times!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Heck, I'm all for getting rid of Columbus Day. Make the damn government workers go to work instead of having the day off to bitch about Columbus Day.

    ReplyDelete
  21. In 2005 I changed FROM a high pressure, demanding, very schedule driven 32 year career in private industry TO working for state government. The first career hardly even knew about Columbus Day; it was not observed by anyone. The start date at state was 1 October.
That was Friday, then we worked all the next week. But it was interesting later that week how several nice folks dropped by to tell me "Don't come to work next Monday; it's a holiday"; which I really did appreciate or might have made the long commute.

Also noticed: A couple of the courtesy calls were more along the lines of "It makes the rest of us look bad if anyone comes to work on this holiday."

  22. Are you sure it's not indigent people's day? That fits the Left's pets pretty well.

    ReplyDelete
  23. If you don't like Columbus day, you obviously hate Italians, and so therefore should never eat, or make, pizza again. And stop eating any type of macaroni, too, you cultural appropriating heathen. Bruno Mali shoes? Pfft.
And don't EVEN think about using Roman Numerals.

    ReplyDelete
  24. The Roman Numeral I care about most right now is XI / MMXX I just tuned into the current Demo debate and lasted about five minute. I can hardly wait to vote in November 2020.

  25. Others arrived here first, Vikings, Chinese, Irish monks BUT no ones arrival change the world the way Columbus's arrival did. (good PR is everything)

40,000 years here and they had not invented the wheel yet or advanced beyond stone age savages who enjoyed ripping out thousands of still beating hearts on a good week-end..... tragic such fine civilization are no longer the dominant ones.

They are just people like the rest of us, no better, no worse........ Nothing mythical about them and pretty much no different than our ancestors at that stage in our development ... Our ancestors changed when faced with better technology. (or ELSE !!!)
As far as the diseases believe me it's not like these people enjoyed bringing these with them. My favorite is the small pox blankets given to the indians by the Army.... small pox was also fatal to us and greatly feared ....... pretty sure it went like this ....

"Sergeant get a platoon of your men and get these blankets over to the indians." "but Sir they have been near people with small pox !" "yes and ... Sergeant ?" "Sir with all due respect "F*CK You !!!' ..."

You want an indignant people day ......pass a friken law .......Leave Columbus Day alone till someone else causes the dramatic changes in the world that this guy did with 3 small ships of rebellious crew....

  26. Well Nancy is from California where they treat criminals with dignity and let them out to roam the streets if the jails become overcrowded. They can't build new prisons to house the expansion of lawlessness and violent behavior, else there wouldn't be enough money to take care of the welfare, housing, education, healthcare, cell phones for all the illegals coming over here; and for the expensive housing, food, medical, weight-training, sports programs, sex-change operations, sex-change therapies and Halal diets, for the criminals we already have.
