Buy Dumb Supporter

Some years ago in this space, we tried to institute "Good News Friday" with only positive stories. The world, however, didn't get the memo and we quickly discarded the idea when "good news" failed to materialize on a weekly basis.

And such is the case again this week (to put it mildly), which is why we're wrapping things up with yet another visit to the yellowing, 30-year old pages of the Spensive Gifts catalog. Happy browsing!

BREAKING NEWS: OUT LIKE FLYNN

It turns out that there IS good news to report: the Justice Department has dropped its criminal case against General Michael Flynn! We only hope that this will initiate the aggressive investigation and prosecution of those who framed and defamed Flynn in a brazen attempt to overthrow the Presidency.

It's criminal - literally - how long this smear campaign has been going on and how far it's reached. As evidenced by this visit to the vault from June, 2017...

stilton’s place, stilton, political, humor, conservative, cartoons, jokes, hope n’ change, comey, testimony, fbi, trump, obstruction, justice

Despite stratospheric levels of hype, yesterday's laughably named "intelligence hearing" testimony by disgraced former FBI Director James Comey wasn't so much "shock and awe" as "Rorschach" and "Aw, shut the Hell up."

We cite Rorschach because, as is the case with other meaningless ink blots, everyone interpreted Comey's remarks however they wanted: the Right sees Trump as completely exonerated, and the Left believes they heard so much dirt that they can't decide whether to take the time to impeach the President or simply march on the White House with pitchforks and torches and burn the building down while he's still inside.

The reality, as nearly as we can tell, is that Trump didn't do anything legally wrong when talking to Comey about Mike Flynn and the Russian investigation. But in true snowflake-style, Comey is now interpreting his own bizarre feelings and fantasies related to that conversation as proof of wrongdoing.

Comey, who is dishonest and Machiavellian but no fool, is fully aware that Trump did nothing to obstruct justice - but he was spinning like a Dervish trying to imply otherwise. Which makes it fortunate that he no longer runs the Federal Bureau of Implication.

Comey did occasionally share interesting truths, including his concern that former DOJ head Loretta Lynch had been compromised during her meeting with Bill Clinton on an airport tarmac. He additionally confirmed that Lynch asked him (which in Comey's mind is apparently a direct order) to refer to Hillary's criminal investigation as a "matter" - which Comey subsequently did, even though he freely admits that it was a lie designed only to help Hillary's image during election season.

All in all, his testimony showed only that Trump can be ham-handedly (but legally) direct when expressing his thoughts...and that Comey (among others associated with Obama and Clinton) has genuinely made a practice of obstructing justice by attempting to interpret the hints, nuances, and implied desires of his political masters.

Because a nod is as good as a wink when justice isn't intended to be blind.

Then it's "WHOO!" on first, watts on second...

  2. I'll take one of the 3 piece slipper sets. Got to keep the 'old fellow' happy. Nudge nudge wink wink.

Good news about Flynn. A pox on Comey and the horse he rode in on.

  3. Yeah that 3 piece fantasy slipper set is a winner (heavy on the fantasy part)

Too bad comey could not follow Orders worth a damned as demonstrated by algores health and rambling ...........

  4. Perhaps the trail in l'affaire Flynn will lead all the way to the most unqualified, unfit and unworthy POTUS candidate since Henry Wallace?

With only six months to election day, couldn't ask for a better issue to pin on the democrats.

Yet another item to keep in mind to remember who the real enemies of our Republic have been, are and will continue to be.

  5. My fervent hope is that this ever burgeoning trail will lead straight to Obama and expose his traitorous butt. Anyone who thinks he didn't know and approve of what was going on is willfully blind. I picture in my mind a huge witches cauldron with fetid fumes rising, filled with all the traitors from the Obama administration and him standing over it stirring the pot. Written across the side is "Get Trump."

  6. Not surprisingly, CNN & NYT stories are of the 'cover their asses' genre.

  7. ABC's David Muir last night even repeated the now-dropped "charge" of Perjury with the same tone and inflections as if it was still a valid or new charge... even as he was reporting the dropped case. I'm starting to wonder how much of this frantic BS-news Anchoring with him is deliberate bias vs. very stupid script-reading and force-of-habit. Whichever; it's insulting to hear and his credibility is still near the bottom of the pool.

  8. Obama to his lackeys, "Will no one rid me of this meddlesome Flynn?"

  9. I hate to say it, but I think the Japanese foot device actually looks like it could help me. Damn old feet....

As for the great, great news about the DOJ dropping the vile and unethical charges against General Flynn and the big document drop from the Schiff-stain "intelligence" committee, I can only hope and pray that this is the finger being pulled from the dike, with a torrent to follow.

  10. I have a couple of those Hummingbird light bulbs. Never seem to get any light from them though, even though I keep filling them with lighter fluid.

Out Like Flynn: Another fine example of why decent, intelligent people avoid public service like the plague. Unless you conform to the values and agenda of the deep state, it will seek to destroy you. They will bleed you of your energy and financial resources, strip you of your freedom, and if that's not enough, they'll then threaten to do the same to your family and loved ones. Once they've got their claws into you, pleading guilty is the only way to make it stop from getting any worse.

And not that it will make any difference to the religiously faithful, but this should also be once and for all wiping the halo off of the "most scandal free administration ever". The released documents show that Obama's fingerprints were all over this, the Hillary investigation, and whole Russia hoax.

As for Comey, he's officially entered Baghdad Bob territory.

In the good old days, disgraced former officials simply disappeared into obscurity. Today, they do the opposite and tweet intellectual diarrhea all day to justify themselves.

  11. A good friend sent me a You Tube link yesterday to view what he called a "must see" video regarding the Covid situation. Before I could look at the clip, it was taken down by our tech overlords, with the explanation that it "violated community standards".

Today he sent another link to a different platform. Please spend 26 minutes sometime today to watch this indictment of Fauci, Gates, and the entire U.S. government public health cabal, before it goes down the memory hole for good.

  12. @Stilton,
So many things I want, but I only saw a price on one of them. Please post the prices so I can early shop for Christmas! I especially want that thing that kills the rats in your turkey. I wonder if it could be adapted to kill rats in Congress??

    The Flynn exoneration...
Not a peep from the alphabets about the hard evidence that General Flynn was set up, then blackmailed. The man lost everything he owned, and lost his reputation. I hope he sues the living shit out of everybody involved, up to and including O'Smirkyface.

  14. Comey. Clinton. Lynch. Emanuel. Rice. Holder, et al. What a crooked posse of lawless thugs that jugeared assclown assembled during his eight years of "fundamental change." I would love nothing more than to watch this go straight up the ladder and see him disgraced (better yet, imprisoned).

  20. So here I am, soaking wet after reading Stilton's Place on a peaceful Saturday morning. In the tranquility I am eating cookies and just simply drinking my milk out of the carton when I scroll down to "Grow Giant Boots In Your Garden" and I expelled an entire 1/2 gallon through my nose. How dare you! I already know to use extra caution when reading Johnny Optimism, but humor of this proportion in an ancient Spencer's Gifts catalog???!! Unheard of!
BTW, thanks, I'll be in a good mood for the rest of the month now.
