Got MLK?

stilton’s place, stilton, political, humor, conservative, cartoons, jokes, hope n’ change, biden, MLK Day, Martin Luther King, BLM, racism

Martin Luther King Jr once said that he had "been to the mountaintop." Were he still here today, we think he'd likely be thinking of jumping off of it.

We are within days of inaugurating a new whiter-than-white president who spent decades fighting against the kind of school integration which would create (in his words) a "racial jungle" for his children, hobnobbed with segregationists and KKK members, and still expresses slack-jawed wonder that a black man can be "articulate and clean."

And for good measure, we'll be swearing in (or at) a vice-president who not only called the next president a racist, but also said that the whole Democrat party was racist for not voting for her in the primaries. So the good news for Dr. King, we guess, is that in 2021 a lot of people have forgotten what the hell racism even is.

Of course, that's not all that people have forgotten. Joe Biden actually declared that Martin Luther King Jr's assassination wasn't as big a deal as George Floyd's death. Imagine the racial peace our nation could now be enjoying if only Dr. King had the foresight to knock himself off with a fentanyl overdose in 1968.

But maybe Joe Biden is right and Martin Luther King Jr's dream is no longer a good fit for today's world. After all, these days you damn well don't want to judge a person by the content of their character rather than the color of their skin. And Dr. King's message of non-violence has been actively discarded by BLM, as evidenced by 28 "not so mostly-peaceful" rioters in Detroit who just had all their charges dismissed by a black judge because, well, because he could.

Sadly, at this point it seems that the most enduring legacy of Martin Luther King is that there will be no mail today. Although on the bright side, that will at least slow the tsunami of perfectly legitimate absentee ballots still pouring in for Joe Biden.

  1. The woke crowd would ignore the gaffe, and simply tell us that Donald Trump praising white milk is a racist dog-whistle...

  2. From the article:

"Judge Larry Williams Jr. tossed the cases after the city of Detroit failed to provide discovery of information, including the identities of arresting officers and body cam footage, that could be used during a trial."

Incompetence on the part of the city of Detroit or willful negligence? Discuss.

  3. No mail today? No different than most days ‘round these parts the past 2 months. Looking forward to the day these assclowns are put in charge of our healthcare.

  4. Five will get you ten, Biden won't make it down the steps of the Capitol Bldg. on his Florsheims after kamala-toe gives him a handy shove between the the 'blades to "lighten his load". Then comes the virtual funeral procession drawn by a pair of white donkeys over to Arlington for his ascent into Aasgard being escorted by the Valkyries dressed in complete BLM attire...........

  5. With all that's going on in Washington to defend against attacks and knowing how much the Democrats project what they're planning to do by what they accuse their enemies of planning on doing, I'm not going to be real surprised if Biden gets martyrized before he gets to be President. By some crazy Trump supporter, of course, which will sadly necessitate the declaration of martial law and triggering the emergency powers of the government which will temporarily override the Constitution.

  6. At this point I'm hoping a lot of their stated plans are just "get-elected" bullshit as usual; some common sense will prevail; and things might calm down a bit. They've no record of and are not very good at getting real things done. But they WILL still screw things up a lot for two years and then maybe the situation will swing back, hard. If not in two; then by four. It's time to hucker down & prepare; and fix our problem with truth in the news. And if we can't MAGA quite so much; at least watch our six.

  7. Here's a story last week, about the Secret Service, citing security concerns, nixing plans by the Obama sock puppet to take a train from Wilmington , Del to DC for his inauguration.

The parallels to that and Lincoln's first inauguration are not lost on me.

  8. I worked "Awlngasbidnez"  in Russia & Siberia, Azerbaijan, & Kazakhstan shortly after the fall of the USSR including working with former Soviet Communists who were members of the Party either by choice or just by necessity to have good jobs, better places to live, etc. and a better life for themselves and their families.   Upon actually boarding the west-bound international flight  out of Moscow  was always time for a small prayer of thanks to be heading back home to USA.
Having seen both sides and with ~25+ years of time passage, I'm now thinking except for much more capitalism... Russia has not changed all that much.  BUT USA HAS.   Some things don't seem as distinctly different now.     See:

  9. Jerryskids, Biden getting martyrized BEFORE "by some crazy Trump supporter"is so much better than my prediction that Joe has his third "aneurysm" by mid-March.

My way, Kamala merely assumes the Presidency (chapping Hillary's ass no end). You're way, we're locked down indefinitely while the Dems run amok.

  10. Rod, how can things 'swing back hard' now that the Dems have perfected election stealing? And even if they hadn't, they will immediately offer amnesty to all the illegal immigrants in the country, who will be voting. There are no safeguards in place to assure that voters are actual citizens, once illegals are issued driver's licenses. If I am wrong about that please tell me why, because I would love to still have at least a little bit of hope.

  13. So sad that the dream of MLK has been spat upon by the very people he hoped to raise up. Such is the state of our sorry nation. I am at a loss as to how this will possibly turn out well.

  14. @Linda Lee etal: I certainly agree with your concern but there's time now for truth about this election to surface. I'm also hoping for history to repeat: Mid-terms are usually pretty rough on any party that gains full control. And we still have a somewhat? better Supreme Court as well as many in the lower courts. Then maybe when some of these elected jackals see the mess being made and how folks will feel about that in 2-4 years, THEY usually go for re-election; so some may have a few changes of heart & cross over on specific issues. Narrow advantage in House and 50/50 in Senate may not prevail. And of course these are all non-violent things. But I don't think jackals should test their luck. Just stay the course, or better it.

  15. Somebody told AOC there would be no mail today, and she said, "Oh no.... that means I'll have to text instead!"

Regarding Wednesday's coronation, I'm praying for a giant assed blizzard to hit DC that morning. Better yet, a meteor!

  16. Colby, if it weren't for the troops being there, I'd vote for it sleeting sideways.

  17. When asked, I enjoy telling Progressives, "No, I did not vote for that racist running for President, you know, the one who knows poor kids are just as smart as white kids."

I didn't know about Biden's MLK/George Floyd comparison, and thanks for bringing it to my attention. But I'm hardly surprised. I've been arguing for the better part of a decade now that MLK has to be slowly de-personed by Progressives for the aspects of his dream that pretty much everybody in America today could still agree on but are problematic for the Progressive agenda of balkanizing everyone based upon superficially created criteria. The focus on character and non-violence will get purged to be replaced by amplifying the soft-but-ever-hardening Marxism, victimization scoring and the the excuse of threatening of violence when they don't think they're getting their way. And all still in his name, of course.

  18. @Readers- Damn my carpal tunnel syndrome (and likely arthritis as sprinkles on top). I'd like to respond to everything being posted but I just can't. Happily, the conversation is going fine with me relegated to lurker status, so carry on!

  19. Regnad Kcin, my bet is that on or about 1/21/2023 Slow Joe resigns, wishing to "spend more time with his family." Kamala finishes out his term and is "elected" to two of her own, resulting in - wait for it- a full decade of uber-progressivism which oughta just about finish off the USA.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Gorgon Zola, Slow Joe has to do two years and a day of his term in order for Kamala to get two full terms of her own.

That said, either one of them in charge and the USA is finished in less than two years.

  21. I heard a company of red chinese army troops will be in the parade in honor of JoeXi and the state harlot of calipornia. On Thursday, I will be flying my US Flag upside down and breaking my 20 year abstinence from demon rum. It will be Michelob. I don't care for rum. Sioux will be working on her latest quilt and I will be cleaning out and re-organizing my shop. I would wear a black arm band, but since we aren't going out, so what.

  22. "I will be flying my US Flag upside down. . ."

I live too far out for anyone to see my flag, upside down or not. However I still use USPS mail. I know that dates me, but on every envelope now I paste the U.S flag stamp upside down. No one notices I am sure, but I feel better doing so to make a statement no matter how small it is.

  23. What about this blog two days from now? Complete black out to mark this coming sad day in our history? Bust ross in mourning dress? a meme of the vile, amoral, most unfit, unworthy and unqualified democratic POTIS candidate since Henry Wallace maniacally cackling?

  24. Rickn8or,
That's why I set the date to 1/21/23. On the matter of Slow Joe's coronation, it is my most fervent wish that absolutely no one show up. I can dream.

  26. @Linda Lee, I hope time proves us wrong but with the Liberals now in total control, Setting the rules for our elections, conducting our "elections", and counting the results, I don't see much light at the end. Conservatives pushed for Photo ID but Libs went just the opposite and set-up absolutely no ID.

  27. Anonymous, I think it's safe to say the only people that will show up are the suck-ups.

  28. For along time I've been using the USPS "Purple Heart" stamp but must say: Starting tomorrow 20th, an upside-down "USA Flag" is a tempting idea for quiet protest until this situation is resolved. I've not been following much recent news which seems a waste of time. Is there a wide-spread movement developing on this? Will this action be recognized for what it is?

    ReplyDelete
  29. I used upside down USA flag stamps for almost the entire 8 miserable years of the Ă˜bama/biden regime. I began using them upside down again on November 03, 2020. I'm pretty sure that no one really notices, however if over 74,000,000 people did, it just MIGHT be noticed.
And it is a peaceful non-violent way to protest, until the use of stronger measures is forced upon patriotic American citizens.

  30. I have also started using the flag stamps upside down. I should have done it when Barack Hussein was "president"...
