Ups and Downs

stilton’s place, stilton, political, humor, conservative, cartoons, jokes, hope n’ change, Biden, debate, Newsweek, poll, undecided

You've got to give it to Joe Biden - when he falls down he gets right back up and explains to the officer who tackled him that he was only checking the little girl for head lice. And isn't that the kind of fighting spirit we need right now?

Apparently, there are still people who think so.  Joe is already back on the campaign trail, alternately shouting and whispering whatever is on his teleprompters. Among the claims he's making is that his debate performance actually won over more independent voters than Trump got. And oddly enough, it's true.

Or at least, true-ish. Newsweek, which we didn't know existed anymore, trumpeted the headline "Undecided Voters Say They Now Support Joe Biden After Debate" and it's being tweeted by the Biden-Harris team. But Not The Bee, the funny, truth-telling partner website of The Babylon Bee pulled back the curtain on the story. Newsweek was citing a single poll of just 12 (count 'em!) undecided voters who were not native English speakers. No, really. They couldn't understand anything either candidate said during the debate so just read subtitles in Spanish, and God only knows what was being written there:

Trump: I'll execute all the Hispanic men and rape their wives and daughters.
Biden: I'll give them each a million dollars and make siesta time longer.

At the time of this writing, Joe Biden is sequestered at Camp David with Dr. Jill, discussing with advisors whether he should stay in the race or be released on a nice farm where he can wander to his heart's content and frolic and be happy.

Or at least, that's the story the party bosses will tell the kids...

  1. Joe Biden - Not much action, not much traction!
(Just spitballing a Biden campaign slogan here!)

  2. And willing to do it, for a measly $100Million. Cheap!

  3. Joe may be 90% gone but he still remembers that big money is involved and the Bidens want their cut.

  4. "They couldn't understand anything either candidate said during the debate so just read subtitles in Spanish"

As one who not infrequently has to read English subtitles to Israeli TV programs, I can tell you the viewer's attention is closely focused on those subtitles. The body language of the speaker can go completely unnoticed. FJB's blank stares and so forth might not have been seen at all by the pollees [is that a real word?]. In addition to, as Stilt points out, the question of how faithful a translation was given.

  5. Rumor has it Jill is negotiating for a multi-billion exit plus amnesty for any and all Biden family crimes; I’m thinking if she gets too greedy TPTB might just consider the JFK option.

  9. No matter how much you hate the MSM, it's no where near enough. Expect more of the Newsweak journalistic malpractice/silliness and outright gaslighting as we get closer to November.

Most of us have watched Joe's decline long before the 2020 election, and only now the MSM notices it? Or have we only reached the point to where they no longer could hide the fact even from their most fervent supporters? Not that they're still trying; some are trying to spin that he had a cold, and the phony "He has a stutter! How dare you judge him!" narrative is back.

At least we know the Hur report was right about one thing. He's not capable of standing trial for his crimes.

@Bobo the Hobo, will Trump be required to report that deal as an "in kind donation"?

  10. It's a foregone conclusion that PDJT will win nomination - officially - in the blink of an eye. His real problem is going to be surviving to and through the election. Unfortunately, I fully expect at least one serious attempt, either Kennedy-esque or Arkancide, between now and November. Here's hopin' his S. S. detachment is honest and really on the ball . . .

  11. If the debate wasn't bad enough, now we have the immunity decision by the Supreme Court and the leftists are going bat shit crazy. I don't know all the fine details of the decision, but I do know that if Jack Smith intends to continue his persecution of Trump, the trial will not happen before the election, which effectively means if Trump wins, it will disappear. Day One he could fire Jack Smith. Wouldn't that be peachy? The tyrannizing of our country is hitting some major speedbumps which gives me hope it can be fixed before it's too late. I cannot begin to tell you how much I enjoyed that debate. For once, the whole world got to see the pure unadulterated Biden without his filters and coverups. It was glorious.

  12. Sorry folks, the Democrats have figured out how to cheat on elections. They will win again! It doesn't matter what Trump does, he will lose and Obiden will win again, because Obama is running the campaign and the country!!

  13. Biden is already back on the campaign trail . . . "end of quote".

  14. Let's hope some of our fellow Americans had their eyes opened the other night and are rightfully pissed off at the Yellow Stream Media (yes I stole that somewhere) for concealing Biden's true nature and true dementia, and for immediately returning to that function the day after the debate.

  15. Even with all the furore and consternation the media is generating over the SC's decision to give presidents immunity for their actions in office, their 'official' actions not their private ones, you know they'd be the first to claim that it makes 'bama and bye-then completely immune to prosecution for their actions generating private payoffs that were most certainly not taken in the public interest and it's only a matter of time before they start trumpeting that Trump has no immunity for anything because he's Trump and that trumps everything else.

  16. Joe Biden is making LBJ look like a choir-boy. Hopefully, the town in Pennsylvania where he was born razes the house he was born in, salts the earth, hires an exorcist to chase away the demons, and forbids any citizen to speak his name. That, and Delaware apologizes to the United States for allowing him in a public office.

  17. Being as the early votes are already counted and the mail-in ones already in the mail, all that needs to be done now is come up with a new candidate so they can put a few fake polls out suggesting a massive voter shift toward them...to 'justify' the votes already manufactured and mochelle is the best choice for that...for them, not the rest of the world since it will just mean bathhouse barry's 4th term.

  18. VERY well done on "Right Left Hand"!! I like it more than the George Jones song with similar lyrics. Great Mandolin picking too. Was that a human performer?

  19. The Democrat party has been more than generous to Joe Biden for half a century, and it is now time for Joe Biden to return the favor. To do otherwise is a selfish and cowardly act. Or, in OleJoe's case, he may have thought that all his doing that landed him in the Whitehouse. If that's the case, his stepping down will be out of the question; after all, he believes he's doing a swell job. Since everyone has reached the same conclusion, the only option is the 25th Amendment! It's too bad, as this is not the legacy Ole Joe had envisioned! Some always thought him a doofus who ARE now experiencing schadenfreude. To them, shame; this is a perplexed and ill man who deserves our compassion. But not to be POTUS.
