"Jim Acosta, put on that dunce cap or get the hell out." |
Which is why the mainstream media is unsurprisingly doing their best to savage this fine woman on her way out. A quick check of "news" related to her departure offers up nice, neutral headlines like these: "Sarah Sanders was the disdainful Queen of Gaslighting (Washington Post)," "With Sarah Sanders Leaving, Trump Now Lies Along (USA Today)," "As Sarah Sanders Signs Off, a Look Back at Her Biggest Lies (Vanity Fair)," "Sarah Sanders' Legacy: The Death of the White House Press Briefing (CNN)."
During her tenure, many on the supposedly pro-women Left decided if they couldn't match wits with her, they'd attack her personally. Her weight, her makeup, her clothing choices, and her Arkansas roots were all mocked viciously and repeatedly, clearly demonstrating the hypocrisy and snobbishness of the Progressive Left. And Sarah handled it all with unflappable style and wit.
It's hard to conceive of a tougher job than that which Ms. Sanders has handled so impressively, and hard to imagine who can now do the job as capably. There are fun speculations out there: not only our own Busty Ross, but names like James Woods, Mark Steyn, Diamond and Silk, Greg Gutfeld, Jordan Peterson, Gilbert Gottfried, Roseanne Barr, ventriloquist Jeff Dunham and "Walter," and (our personal favorite) Deadpool.
Whoever gets the job, we hope they're as willing to bring the fight to a combative Press Corps as was Sarah Huckabee Sanders. She should be proud of her service, and we eagerly look forward to seeing how she will dumbfound and torture those on the Left in the future.
We didn't make this, but it's too good not to share again.
I'm sure that slimy shit Jim Acosta thinks he chased her out of the job.
ReplyDeleteI loved Sarah Huckabee Sanders as the W.H. Press Secretary.
ReplyDeleteBut, Busty Ross would definitely have my full attention... lol
(helpless laughter at the bad lip reading)
ReplyDeleteI, for one, look forward to our new Busty Ross press briefings.
Good to see Busty is still offering her services to this side of the ideological divide. for a while, there was concern she had gone over to .....Vox.
ReplyDeleteI liked the departing press secretary as she pretty much took no BS from the likes of Acosta (would agree he probably does believe he and he alone chased her out) and others of the Swamp.
On a related note, politics, there's a curious WSJ OpEd today which almost sounds like a lukewarm endorsement of Democratic Rep. Tulsi Gabbard.
As one of FDR's Vp's said, "Politics is funny, son'.
She will be very much missed. I hope her replacement is every bit as knowledgeable as her, and like her, takes no crap from the pressed [sic] corps. And carry a taser.
ReplyDeleteOn another note; this is the 100th anniversary of Barney Google and Snuffy Smith.
James Woods would be awesome at that job. Sarah Huckabbe was a great WH spokesperson who will be missed. No mess with the Huck !
ReplyDeleteBecause Trump was the 1st President to pass on news briefings and instead tweeting his opinions, the press has much less to work with. Trump goes directly to the people, with media throwing opinions exactly what Trump means. Like people can't figure it on their own and need the media to decipher it.
"...they'd attack her personally. [...] her Arkansas roots..."
ReplyDeleteWait. Aren't the Clinton's from Arkansas?
We will miss her. Those headlines from the MSM is just ordinary and mean nothing. The are printing and talking heads for each other since most normal people quit reading them years ago. Who are they trying to convince about her?
ReplyDeleteAs we raise a chilled glass of Chardonnay and bid a fond “adieu” to our warrior queen, let us welcome Busty Ross, our new Presidential Info-Babe Overlord
ReplyDeleteRumor has it that Sarah may follow in her father's footsteps and run for Governor of Arkansas.
ReplyDeleteBest of luck to her.
She will certainly be missed, she was not afraid in the least to mix it up with the unabashed progressive propagandists is the so-called press. Whomever steps into that dirty job better have cast iron balls....Maybe Mike Rowe?
ReplyDeleteIf Busty has Trump's "ear" then I'm sure her appointment will be a Full (Supreme)Court Press! Good move, now let's see the male press "corpse" give HER any crapola!
ReplyDeleteGood job, Sarah! Hopefully the next one will have both the intellect and the spine to fill your shoes!
ReplyDeleteBravo dear lady! Nicely done. You've been an inspiration to those capable of reason.
ReplyDeleteDitto that!
DeleteI fell from a ladder over the weekend so I paid for laughing so hard. You just know she had names for everyone of those slimeballs. The maker of the film only missed; round heels, pinhead, slut, crazy eyes, bed-wetter, booger eater, plays with matches, and people who do terrible things to small animals. I agree that wherever she goes, she will not suffer fools. We need more women and men just like her.
ReplyDeleteActually I would pay good money to have Tyrus from the Greg Gutfeld be the new press secretary. He has done a few skits as a press secretary and they very amusing. However when you watch the show he has some of the more insightful views. I mean you look at the guy and he is 6'7" and 370lbs and you would thing given that he was a former wrestler he wouldn't be the brightest light in the hallway but definitely has a brain in there. I also can't imagine anyone giving him to much grief/back talk. Well not twice. I can just imagine Acosta mouthing off one time and he points a finger at him and telling him One more time and I will throw you out of here myself." That and I am damn sure he wouldn't allow anyone to yank a microphone for any of the interns hands.
ReplyDeleteI'm your Huckleberry
ReplyDelete@rickn8or- I'm sure you're right. Acosta has delusions of adequacy.
ReplyDelete@griz- Plus, Busty could keep up Sanders' tradition of smacking down the press.
@M. Mitchell Marmel- I'd make a point of watching all of them!
@Fish Out of Water- Busty isn't likely to ever change her colors, for which we can all be grateful. As for the guest editorial in the WSJ about Tulsi Gabbard, I thought it was fine. When a Democrat shows signs of logic, they deserve a little praise.
@Fred Ciampi- I think tasers should be deployed way more frequently in the Press Room. Or at the very least, seltzer bottles. And congratulations to Barney Google! I remember when he was just a humble man, rather than the multi-billionaire inventor of a web search engine.
@Anonymous- Trump does speak directly to the people, but sometimes (like, frequently) a tweet is too short to get the nuance of what he's saying or thinking. Sarah Huckabee Sanders did a great job of interpreting his messages for a press corps that was (and is) too willing to misrepresent his meaning.
@Doug- Yes, but the Clintons rose above their Arkansas roots. It was part of the deal they made when they sold their souls to the devil.
@james daily- Those headlines do what they're intended to do: reinforce the hate and lies on the Left. Nobody else gives a damn.
@Bobo the Hobo- I'll drink to that! (And most other things...)
@Geoff King- I hope she runs and I hope she wins. Her rare talents need to be kept in use.
@TrickyRicky- Wow, Mike Rowe would be an interesting choice.
@Bruce Bleu- I pity the fool who gets on Ms. Ross's bad side...
ReplyDelete@Emmentaler Limburger- It won't be easy to match Sarah's performance. I hope the next in line is up for the challenge.
@Anonymous- She has indeed been an inspiration. We need more like her.
@Sortahwitte- I don't usually post material from other sources, but that Bad Lip Reading video was just a delight. I laughed pretty darn hard myself.
@John25mm- Wow, Tyrus would make an awesome press secretary! The first time I say him on Greg's show, I thought he was just there for novelty value. But as you say, it turns out that he is very insightful and well spoken - I frequently think he does the best job of anyone on the panel in summing up a situation. And I like the idea of him taking a "hands on" approach in press briefings.
@Fritzchen- Those should so be the first words spoken by the new White House Spokesperson.
Wish Tony Snow was still around.
ReplyDelete@John the Econ- I miss Tony Snow terribly. He was strong, intelligent, and articulate - but he also downplayed hyperbole and radiated a calming sense of rationality. He left us far, far too soon.
ReplyDeleteJohn the E - so do we all.
ReplyDeleteAdd me the list of people unimpressed w/ Sarah's looks and weight issues. Then I just listened. Woman was / is amazing. Wishing her all the best in future endeavors.
I kinda like the idea of Deadpool as press secretary. However, he would likely get fed up with them pretty quickly and simply murder them in ways that he would find amusing.
ReplyDeleteHmmm. Doesn't sound like a bug after all.
Candace Owens would make their heads 'splode. It would be epic.
ReplyDeleteDamn. I must agree wholeheartedly.
DeleteCandace has my vote for any position or office she desires.
Doug, just Bill is from Arkysaw; Hillary is a transplanted Pure Chicago. (And it shows.)
ReplyDeletei nominate stormy daniels.
ReplyDeleteif donald can be president, stormy can be press sexretary.
it would set a new world record for known exploded heads...
Andrew. Dice. Clay.
ReplyDeleteIf you are reading this, President Trump, I'd like to suggest hiring ALL of the people on Stilton's list, plus Tyrus and Candace Owens. Let them take turns, in a daily random order, so the asshats in the "press" corps never know what's going to happen to them when they stroll into that room.
ReplyDeleteHowever, if I had to pick one, the queen of snark, Roseanne might get the nod. Then again, I can see in my mind's eye, Walter telling Acosta to shut the hell up!
Hats off to Sara Sanders for enduring these clowns for sooooo long.
The landscape is littered with the ghosts of conservative women who were gutted by the MSM and the insufferable Democratic politicians who squeal about the Republicans' so-called War of Women. Sarah Palin comes most to mind. Their attacks on her were vicious. They attack women who scare the bejesus out of them and Sarah Sanders is their newest victim. I despise them, I really do.
ReplyDeleteSarah: "Anyone else want their ass handed to them one more time before I leave?"
ReplyDeleteI will miss that young woman terribly. When does Busty start?
K. I can not think of a better nominee than Candace Owens for Whitehouse Spokesperson. I would love to see the left media call her a White Supremicist again in an Oval Office Press Conference.
ReplyDeleteI nominate Sara Palin.
ReplyDeleteYeah, beyond a shadow of a doubt, Deadpool. He'd be slicing and dicing before the briefing was half over.
ReplyDeleteFailing that, Tyrus. Then, Candace Owens.
"During her tenure, many on the supposedly pro-women Left decided if they couldn't match wits with her, they'd attack her personally. Her weight, her makeup, her clothing choices, and her Arkansas roots were all mocked viciously and repeatedly, clearly demonstrating the hypocrisy and snobbishness of the Progressive Left."
ReplyDeleteAmen, Brother. Every day it gets harder and harder to parody the left (although we do try our best)
National Organization for Women Votes to 'Believe All Women,' Reserves Right to Vote on Who Counts as a Woman
You said it quite well. I'm a fan also, and I will miss her dearly. I'm sure we'll all be pleasantly surprised when we see the replacement.
ReplyDeleteI'm watching Trump's official 2020 announcement with a great deal of satisfaction. The opposition clown show will continue for an absurd more 18 months; but this thing is already decided for most of us. I'm even starting to like the guy.
ReplyDeleteCopy that, Rod.
ReplyDeleteMe too! This is going to be damn interesting!
