Sling Along With Mitch

Mitch McConnell has officially set the rules for the Trump impeachment trial in the Senate, over the whining, bitching, and bellyaching of the entire Democrat party. Under McConnell's rules, the trial will be fast, efficient, and - particularly dismaying to those on the Left - the verdict will be at the end of the proceedings rather than the beginning.

Not that everyone needs the entire legislative branch of government to pass a harsh judgment...

Eternal charmer and definitely not a candidate (wink-wink, nudge-nudge) Hillary Clinton is teasing an upcoming four-hour documentary series called "Hillary" in which she speaks honestly and frankly about important issues like what a dung ball Bernie Sanders is.

"He was in Congress for years," Hillary sneers. "He had one senator support him. Nobody likes him, nobody wants to work with him, he got nothing done. He was a career politician. It's all just baloney and I feel so bad that people got suckered into it. He should be strangled in his jail cell."

Okay, she didn't actually mention the part about a jail cell, but we all know she was thinking it. Just like we know what the Left is really thinking about the recent Second Amendment Rally...

BONUS: OUR LOVING CUP RUNNETH OVER

stilton’s place, stilton, political, humor, conservative, cartoons, jokes, hope n’ change, the right reasons, cartoon contest

Huzzah! Thanks to a flurry of impassioned votes from Stilton's Place readers (thank you!), our cartoon tied for Grand Prize Winner in the "Best Cartoons of 2019" contest over at The Right Reasons!

We'd like to thank Pookie18, who tirelessly collects great conservative cartoons from all over the Internet, for the hard work that went into this event (hey, it started with 13,000 entries to choose from!)

We also want to thank all of the cartoon creators who work tirelessly (and almost universally without pay) to make life funnier for us, and more miserable for those on the Left. It's not really a competition so much as a team effort - and we're proud to be part of that team!

Our winning entry. And a nice, nasty little punchline if we say so ourselves!

A well-deserved honor. And, I see you scored big in '17, too.

Killary definitely thinks she's going to ride to the rescue and get a do over.

    Hope you're feeling better.

  2. Grats, Stilton!

As I mentioned yesterday, my fave take on the Virginia Rally was here: https://twitter.com/Julio_Rosas11/status/1219286445942284290

As for Shrillery, I'm minded of that classic SNL skit, "The Thing That Wouldn't Leave"...

  3. The enimedia would have us believe McConnell, facing election this year is vulnerable and that the impeachment just plays into his opponents hands.

While I travel to Ky from time to time, don't know much about the politics. Would any reader from ky ce to share their opinion on this.

As for the most unfit, unworthy and unqualified POTUS candidate since Henry Wallace, 'nobody likes him /has gotten nothing done' , could er, just as easily apply to her, nicht?

  4. Just occurred to me, if they had filmed Deliverance in KY Ned Beatty probably wouldn't have squealed so loudly.

Regarding the VA rally, for those who weren't there (I was), literally everything you see/hear on the MSM is an out-and-out lie. Apparently PMSNBC used footage from Ferguson as a backdrop for their story line.

    Keep on keepin on.

  7. Congratulations Stilton! Between your winning cartoon and today's Johnny Optimism, there sure is a lot of tick-talking....
    (I'll let myself out)

  8. Stilt, you made my day....what-the-hell....you made my entire next six months. I'm so fed up with the Impeachment nonsense that I needed that slap-slap to bring me back to earth.

  9. And the entire MSM is devastated because the Richmond 2A Rally was not the White Supremacist Neo-Nazi riot that they prayed it would be.
Not only was it totally peaceful but, unlike leftest green rallies and the sort, these conservatives actually picked up their own trash when the rally was over.

  10. Congratulations Stilton. A very well deserved win. Your efforts and imagination are appreciated by all of us and need to be seen by even more of the dhimicrats. 'Toon on!

  11. Congrats on the award Stilton, it's well deserved. I commented over at Johnny before migrating to Stilton's Place, so I'm gratified that many others appreciate this take on the flake from Minnesota.

  12. Congrats, Stilton. Your fine work is much appreciated. Has Clan MacGregor stepped up yet as your sponsor and taste tester!?

  13. Well played, Sir! Our very witty TrickyRicky seems to have slipped one past the "no politics" rule over at Johnny Optimism. It's OK by me as we need to be speaking up; but I also fully understand Johnny's objective of keeping the humor dark but pure over there. I was "called" about that some time back; but was not banned. Thank you & Congratulations. [grinning]

  14. I love you got the recognition we all know so well here at Stilton's Place. Your humor grounds me when I despair of all the crap the Dims do.

  15. @All: If you jumped over to The Right Reasons just to vote for the Stilton's Place cartoon, there's an ongoing daily cartoon presentation that's worth checking out for a daily dose of other cartoonists' work as well. Like this week's:
    http://www.therightreasons.net/topic/90862-todays-toons-12120/

Pookie18 collects not only Stilton Jarlsberg cartoons, but other great wits like Michael Ramirez, Ben Garrison, and Pat Cross, etc.—not to mention lots of super-funny memes!

@Jim Irre: Apparently PMSNBC used footage from Ferguson as a backdrop for their story line. It doesn't surprise me at all, especially when you acknowledge they reused a spun narrative from Charlottesville to ramp up fears about the rally leading into it. (And speaking of Ned Beatty and guns, I just rewatched one of my favorite movies last night: 1941. "Do not push a clip of ammunition down into the feed rollers... Oh! What was the last thing I should never do? Yeah—never depress the foot trigger!" BLAAMM!

  19. Mitch McConnell: When will the GOP learn that trying to placate Democrats is a complete waste of time? They're gonna whine no matter what you do, so you might as well do what is best for you instead of trying to compromise. The cost is going to be exactly the same.

Nobody who knows better likes Bernie: Bernie is an opportunist politician who isn't competent at anything else. Who knew?

Speaking of Bernie, Project Veritas has unmasked another one of Bernie's ironically unaware kids:

Bernie Sanders staffer calls for extreme left-wing violence while living lavish lifestyle

"He proudly proclaimed his support for violent class warfare and said, “what will help is when we send all of the Republicans to the re-education camps.” He praised gulags and said that the “Soviet Union was one of the most progressive places” in history for women’s rights."

The funny thing is that if Republicans were into rounding these guys up and placing them in gulags for reeducation, we wouldn't have to build them. We could just air drop this ignorant losers into Venezuela or some other "people's" hell-hole.

Memo for Lucy: As I pointed out yesterday, that gun rally was probably the safest place to be on the planet.

Some people won an award: Congratulations!

  20. RE: "Soviet Union was one of the most progressive places” in history for women’s rights."
What a hoot. I was there many times working just after the USSR fell and also hosted them here. That statement is a little bit correct but also a lot mistaken. Progressive for women sure; if they were of any value to the Communist party. Most of the others were either trying to survive, enduring less than optimum conditions, or looking for a better deal which often included emigrating. I did however enjoy working with their admin and technical staffs of both genders where there was quite a bit of gender equality; but the women were a lot more communicative & curious; more of them (than Males) spoke English; they didn't have the macho attitude as did many of the men. Actually, I liked nearly everyone I met, both genders. Very gracious, generous, good senses of humor, excellent hosts & cooks. And they knew ow to get by with far less than we do. As a Russki man said: One of their many attributes is: Russian women can make a feast of almost nothing AND....they will drink vodka with you.

  22. Jolly good, Stilt! You deserve the award, believe us.

I lounged around the sofa all day yesterday, and occasionally looked up to see who was at the mic - I left the sound off most of the day and missed..... wait for it....
    NOTHING!!

I won't make that mistake again, I lost a lot of brain cells in a short time every time I un-muted the TV.

  23. @Velveeta Processed Cheese Food- I'm doing fine now, thanks. And yeah, Hillary is SOOoooo running.

@M. Mitchell Marmel- John the Econ has referred to Hillary as "political herpes," and I always think of her in those terms now.

@Fish Out of Water- Certainly Hillary got nothing GOOD done. Although she pretty effectively destabilized the Middle East (more than usual, even). Oh, and made sure Russia wouldn't run out of uranium.

@Jim Irre- Congrats on being part of the VA event. And DAY-um, I hadn't heard that MSNBC used Ferguson footage. Effing bastards.

@NaCly Dog- My greatest honor is that people keep coming back to this site and participating. Yay!

@Bobo the Hobo- There's fine stuff over at The Right Reasons blog daily. And this is probably a good place to remind folks of two other great blogs: Sondrakistan.com and TheDailyGouge.com!

@Kent Whitehead- The overlapping punch lines were unintentional. Although the one at Johnny Optimism was inevitable because (ahem) "ticks are for kids."

@Alfonso Bedoya- I'm paying as little attention as possible to the impeachment farce for the good of my sanity and blood pressure.

@Geoff King- The Richmond Rally was a perfect event, and the Left can't stand it. Or understand it.

@Snark- I haven't yet figured out how to force feed my stuff to those on the Left, but it would do them good. Then again, they wouldn't even begin to understand most of the jokes because they've never heard the news items I refer to.

@TrickyRicky- Thank you! Although I posted a half-hearted reminder to keep the political stuff on the down low over at Johnny. Not that it would take much time for anyone googling to make the connection!

@Phil- Clan MacGregor really should recognize my efforts in popularizing their brand while simultaneously giving people reason to drink.

@Rod- Yeah, I relaxed the "no politics" rule when I thought I was ending the political blogging with Hope n' Change. But here we still are, so I've added a reminder to Johnny's comments section that we should only talk about sickness and death instead of anything really depressing.

@Shelly- There's power in laughter, and the Left HATES being laughed at. Which is why all of us here are having so much fun!

@Pat Cummings- People should definitely add The Right Reasons and Pookie18's collection of toons to their regular reading! The last time I watched "1941" was on broadcast TV...and they showed the reels out of order. I need to take another look!

@Fish Out of Water- She's made no comment, but oddly my cellmate got transferred out earlier today...

@John from Highland- Thank you! I quite like that cartoon myself because it makes a genuine point and has a sharp edge to it.

    @Sortahwitte- Thank you!

@John the Econ- Yes, yes, yes. The Dems are going to say horrible things no matter HOW much we try to appease them, which strikes me as an excellent reason for not giving them anything they want. Ever.

And I like your idea about the re-education (or is it just "education?") camps for Bernie's crowd in Venezuela.

@Rod- Thanks for sharing your personal experiences in Russia. Very interesting!

@RAP- Is this a good time for me to remind you (and everyone) that you can easily scan through the archives, and/or do a word search to find old cartoons on any topic? You can access both with widgets in the left margin of the blog!

  24. @igor- I've only subjected myself to a little of that nonsense, though caught lawyer Jay Sekulow's fine opening statement. By the way, over on Youtube everyone should search for "Jay Sekulow Band." Yes, it's the same guy, and they rock hard!

  25. Stilton, a very well deserved honor! Congratulations and continue to keep us laughing.

  26. Rather rude of Felonia Von Pantsuit. She, the DNC and Wassserman manipulated Bernie's votes in 2016. He doesn't appear to want to mention this - wonder why that is.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I finally got a chance to check out the cartoon winners. There was some stiff competition there, so you nailed it again, Stilton!

I watched some clips of "the trial" last night. If I was a Senator, I'd be ready to kidnap friggin' Adam Schiff, and send him on a Falcon 9 rocket to Uranus! He drones on and on and on and on and on and on and..... Somebody please tell this piece of condensed lemming shit that repeating the same thing a thousand times over a twelve hour period doesn't qualify as evidence. I was praying Justice Roberts would admonish Schiff to, "Get to the friggin point already, OK?"

Then there was Nadler. Jerry, you are not in the House now; things are done differently when you're in a place where you have zero power and influence, you dumbass. Funny thing, though, I think Nadler successfully put Senator Murkowski in the "vote to acquit" column. Maybe if these idiots keep it up, even Democrats will vote to acquit.
