The Miracle Jerker
There are times in our lives, times we're not particularly proud of, when we fantasize about being able to wallop someone with a Costco-sized banana cream pie with extra whipped cream. And one of those times was Monday, when Barack "the future must not belong to those who slander the Prophet of Islam" Obama spoke at a political rally in Las Vegas.
(A brief but important aside: the last time we recall Obama attending a political rally in Las Vegas was while the ruins of our embassy in Benghazi were literally still smoking. And there, he likened the "sacrifices" of political volunteers to those who sacrificed their lives in Libya. The rat bastard.)
But here in the present day, it wasn't our embassy on fire, but rather Barack Obama's pants for approximately the millionth time. And the whopper that particularly caught our attention was this one: "When you hear this talk about economic miracles, remember who started it!"
Well we do remember, and it sure as Shinola wasn't Barry. He further explained, "By the time I left office, wages were rising, the uninsurance rate was falling, poverty was falling, and that's what I handed off to the next guy."
But let's slip into our hip waders and parse this nonsense. Wages were "rising" from the grave at a nearly imperceptible rate owing to Obama's successful efforts to impede economic recovery as long as possible (indeed, it was the slowest economic recovery ever). The rate of uninsurance declined only because people were ordered under penalty of law to get Obamacare, with taxpayers and the middle class getting stuck for the wildly unaffordable premiums. The claim that "poverty was falling" is absolutely unsubstantiated, and the notion that Barry handed off a nascent economic miracle to Trump is absurd on its face.
To that end, we'd like to take an opportunity to remind everyone of what Obama was actually handing off to his successor...
This is the man who spent hundreds of billions on fake "shovel ready jobs" that never materialized, but somehow managed to enrich the coffers of Democrats and radical liberal groups...
And this same economic genius actually proposed this as an idea to create a million new jobs (spoiler alert: it didn't create any)...
And he followed up that inspiration with this unintentional bit of "transparency"...
Yep, even with record unemployment and no hope on the horizon, Obama disbanded his advisory Jobs Council after not bothering to meet with them for over a year.
Make no mistake, Obama was an economic disaster for America and much of it was intentional on his part. The "economic miracle" is that we somehow managed to survive his eight year reign of error.
Stilt: In a weird way you must miss the Obama days. It was like shooting fish in a barrel.
ReplyDeleteWith all the humor in there, ain't nothing funny about your post, know what I mean...
ReplyDeleteThere are a vast quantity of Americans who think Obama was one of the best, if not the best, president in our country's history! Imagine that!
ReplyDeleteAs Hanover Fist said in the movie "Heavy Metal", "He's nothing but a low down, double dealing, back stabbing, larcenous perverted worm!! Hangings too good for him, burnings too good for him!! He should be torn into little ittsy bittsy pieces and buried alive!!"
Outstanding comments concerning BOs' Presidency of 8 terrible years for this nation.
ReplyDelete@JimG: There are also a vast quantity of Americans who actually enjoy Justin Bieber.
ReplyDelete'Nuff said.
Does this mean that Obama had Trump's magic wand all along? It must have been hard to spot what with Michelle's and Reggie Love's magic wands shoved in there as well.
ReplyDeleteAfter eight years of racism led from the top, I looked forward to four years of that slut like a root canal with a hammer and chisel. However, I think I was more surprised at his re-election than when DJT was elected. In our history as a nation have we ever had a leader that worked so hard to create a chasm between us? Probably not, but there wasn't the "media" to tell us everything they didn't know. Jimmuh, in his petrified mind, is saying "Wooooo, maybe they'll forget about about that amphibious attack rabbit, too." Don't get your hopes up about memory, peanut farmer. I'll always remember Desert One.
ReplyDeleteOblowme is right. The worst economic recovery in U.S. history was finally turning around by the time he left office in January, 2017. But that was based on the well-founded optimism that began with the miracle of the previous November 9th. After 8 years of stagnation, non-recovery summers, anti-coal, anti-energy, anti-job, anti-American policies, our long national nightmare was over, and things have been on the upswing, ever since.
ReplyDeleteI remember obummer stating on the record that all of these manufacturing jobs that were lost during his miss-administration - were gone and that not only were they not coming back, that we as a country should just get used to it.
ReplyDeleteNOW he comes out and claims that those manufacturing jobs that President Trump brought back, were actually brought back by him?????????
THIS is why the MSM are fake news. Any real news reporter would have asked obummer when he plopped out this whopper how this squares with his own pronouncement of a death certificate for American manufacturing...
Even if they can't quite work up the spine to question their Lord and Master, the news room could attach the fact check when reporting the story...like they do with any Republican answer they don't like. But then again, that is why they are fake news.
MSG Grumpy
“So when you hear all this talk about economic miracles right now, remember who started it.” —Barack Obama
ReplyDeleteYou’re right, Hussein. We’re sorry. Without your help, we wouldn’t have needed the economic miracles we’re now experiencing.
Now, please: gather up that enormous ego, and those vats of hubris and go home to Kenya. You’ve served your purpose.
(Yeah, I know I'm quoting my blog post from yesterday. This way, at least someone other than me will see it :)
He strikes me as a public figure who is now very concerned on how history will judge him. Not very knowledgeable about all our Presidents and their places in our history, but have the feeling the worst electoral mistake since the peanut farmer from Plains, Ga, and wholly undeserving Nobel Prize recipient, will be put in the second tier of Presidents.
ReplyDeleteAn aside, in a WSJ column last week, written by a democrat on the direction of the democratic party, the author hinted that worst electoral mistake since the peanut farmer from Plains, Ga, and wholly undeserving Nobel Prize recipient's Presidency might have been different had he not been surrounded by operatives of the vilest, most corrupt, most corrosive and malignant political family in recent history. This then begs the question of whether in fact this country actually had four terms of the vilest, most corrupt, most corrosive and malignant political family in recent history presidency.
Enjoying the Biebster and putting a sharp stick in your eyeball are not the same as liking country and metal,or voting for a Dem Gov and loving Donald J.
ReplyDeleteObongo was an evil scum monster, Michelle was horrid; just like a human but not really...
Better to acknowledge Cthulhu as the Dark Lord than give Obongo a pass for all his evil ways.
Am I a bit over the top here? Am I pulling an Eric Holder?
My dear sainted Mother always told me that if you can't say something good about someone then say nothing. So, as far as o'boner is concerned I shall say nothing. So there. And don't forget the solar panel company. No due diligence there either.
ReplyDeleteAnd what about the 14,026 marchers who are only seeking political asylum and a better life? Oh, and burning the American Flag and carrying their own terrible country's flag? 'Nuff said.
I am SOOOOO sick of lamont insane obama and his constant lying, (accompanied by those infuriating tooth whistles). When the hell is he going to retire to his homeland of Kenya, and take that Wookiee with him? When is he going to be called to account for his "this is the new abnormal" bullsh*t, and "does Trump have a magic wand" crapola? Yes I KNOW that YOU don't pull any punches, Stilt, but I want SOMEBODY in the mainstream to eviscerate this poseur! (yeah, THAT and $75.00 will get you a black coffee at Starf**k's).
ReplyDeleteThis oreo waste of sperm bitched for EIGHT YEARS about how it was BUSHES fault that the economy was in the toilet, and when Trump SPANKS his economic STUPIDITY, HE TAKES THE DAMNED CREDIT? I still think his ONLY use is being a side dish at a cannibal all-you-can-eat restaurant! FHATCHRIO!
I hope the "fish feces" (bass turd) lamont goes to the site of his "presiduncial Liebarry" and demands to be the cornerstone. It would be the FIRST time he's ever been stoned LEGALLY!
Two things....
ReplyDeleteOne: Obama is partially responsible for the economic upturn. It was only when he LEFT OFFICE that things started to turn around.
Second:
Obama's pants cannot catch fire no matter how many times he lies.....
They are made of ASS-bestos
I don't know that I can add too much to the comments presented above. I know that I should not HATE anyone, but I sure as hell do LOATHE that vile, putrid, corrupt, anti-American, jihadist bastard.
ReplyDeleteI will point out what I believe is the most important observation in Stilton's post, found in the last paragraph. Much of it was intentional. For those who could see past the Hope and Change! horseshit, the crisp creases in his trousers, and the rest of the unicorn farts.....He Told Us that he would fundamentally change America.
Obama needs to understand that his sole accomplishment in office was to make Jimmy Carter look competent.
ReplyDelete@Tricky Ricky. The last sentence in your post brings back a quote, supposedly by Adolf Hitler , that went 'Give me ten years and you won't recognize Germany!'
ReplyDelete@Chuck: Indeed, indeed.
ReplyDeleteThe Moment Trump won and it became apparent berrie was a lame duck with nothing left to do but sell pardons things changed........ and unless his policy was to do just that he was not responsible........
ReplyDelete@Fish Out of Water: I believe that quote was actually from Der Dicke Hermann.
ReplyDelete…
Trying to make a clever connection with Obama, but brain not working right now.
@Fish Out of Water: We've had a lot of bad presidents, and a lot who were nuts, seeing as how you have to be nuts to want the job. But Obama was the first and only one who hated America and deliberately tried to destroy it.
ReplyDelete10,000,000,000,000 additional national debt, doubling the debt of ALL previous administrations.
ReplyDeleteA heavy commie tax on future generations indeed.
The media is mocking Trump's statements about M E men in the invading mob...demanding hard data on exact numbers, family names, addresses, faves and pet peeves.
ReplyDeleteOK, I'm spoofing...
here's some real data...
"Coyote 16 hours ago
My husband works at a federal detention facility in southern Arizona where the primary inmates are illegal immigrants and yes, they do process a considerable number of men from the Middle East. The fact is, this 'caravan' is comprised of thousands and thousands of unknown people - overwhelmingly military aged men - who have announced their intention to storm the sovereign border of the United States whether Americans want them here or not. At best they are economic migrants who feel entitled to disregard our nation's laws as they trample the border waving foreign flags in a manner that seems suspiciously like an invasion. As a country, we have the right to say they are not welcome here. The United States already possesses one of the most generous immigration policies on the planet and there is no such thing as a worldwide human right to enter the United States. Moreover, we have no way of vetting these people properly, of knowing who they all are and what their real objectives might be. This is a problem. And the reality doesn't change no matter how many headlines try to distract from the situation by howling about Trump."
7,000 + mostly males coming our way...damn!
I can see Jimmy Carter slapping his forehead, saying I should have told people that "Reagan inherited the ultimate success of malaise!"
ReplyDeleteOf course Obama is a joke, and I doubt very many of the people who've received a raise for the first time in a decade or have gotten their first job after being stuck in their parent's basement since graduation aren't getting that.
Ironic that this comes from the guy who once asserted to truly successful people, "You didn't build that."
But of course, being a Progressive means forgetting what you said only a few years ago, when the "smart people" argued that America as we once knew it was over, and the best we could hope for from here on out was 2% growth, which Obama had masterfully achieved.
From 2014:
"The good times may be over for good. In a speech to the Economic Club of New York yesterday, US Treasury Secretary Jack Lew said the US GDP growth rate, adjusted for inflation, is now projected to run a little above 2% a year... In his speech, Lew said, “many today wonder whether something that has always been true in our past will be true in our future.” (Indeed, the 2013 Obama budget declared, “In the 21st Century, real GDP growth in the United States is likely to be permanently slower than it was in earlier eras . . . .”)"
Oh well. Guess the "smart people" were wrong. (As they usually tend to be) But it's takes a certain amount of chutzpah to argue that you are now responsible for a success you said was impossible only 4 years ago. It takes even more to simultaneously assert that you're responsible for everything great while also arguing that everything is also wrong.
Really want to piss off Progressives? Remind them that the only people who did great during the Obama "miracle" era were bankers, Wall Street, the well-assetted, politically-connected rent seekers, and the hated 1%-ers. The middle class? They were road kill. Seems counter intuitive that the whole Progressive issue of "income inequality" would peak during the Obama era.
The upside is that people will be going to the polls in a few weeks with jobs and more money in their pockets than the crumbs that the Obama era Progressive state could throw them while all the Democrats can sell at the moment is hate for the guy who actually delivered on "hope and change" and an economic policy that would make any growth, much less 2% look fantastic.
Hillary vs Wall Street: I doubt that Hillary ever had Wall Streeters quaking in their Prada loafers. The Clintons know that it's pointless shaking down people who are broke, and that crony capitalists look to invest in politicians because there will be a huge return in doing so. So every time that Hillary took a shot at Wall Street, the only reaction of Wall Streeters had to be to contain the urge to chuckle. The campaign cash from Wall Street that went almost exclusively to Obama and Clinton should be proof enough of that.
@Velveeta Processed Cheese Food, although the Obama era certainly was like shooting fish in a barrel, you have to admit that observing Trump Derangement Syndrome is just as entertaining.
ReplyDelete@Emmentaler Limburger, perhaps we do owe Obama some debt of gratitude. After all, there would have been no Reagan had there not been a Carter. There would have been no Trump without a Obama. It took a whole lot of mediocrity to make Trump look like a viable answer.
@Fish Out of Water, considering that the aspects of his legacy that did not involve rioting literally evaporated within months of his departure, she should be concerned.
@Glenda T Goode, I've argued to my Progressive friends that the "Trump recovery" wasn't so much the doing of Trump, but the lack of of Obama administration always ready to pounce on anyone too successful or who moved too fast. It was amazing just how a few snippy comments like " I think when you spread the wealth around, it’s good for everybody" or "You didn't build that" (so we feel justified in seizing it) could literally paralyze the worlds largest economy for the better part of a decade.
@Chuck, at least Jimmy Carter will have left a legacy of affordable homes that he actually did help build. Obama will spend the last half of his life making 9-figures from speeches trying to gloss over his abject failures.
O'Liar's like that giant wart on your ass that no amount of Compound W will get rid of. Yes, it sometimes shrinks a bit, but just when you think it's gone, BAM!
ReplyDeleteThis legend in his own mind seems to have caught a case of Hillaryitis. That is, he somehow fancies himself to be still relevant. Barry, you've made your millions off the backs of us poor schmucks, so please just go somewhere else (Malaysia?), count your ill gotten gains, and leave us the hell alone! Anybody who isn't totally retarded knows who fixed the economy, and the dumbasses who still worship at your feet are not affected by changes in the economy because a vast majority of them never had real jobs (or raises) to begin with.
@John the Econ said,
But of course, being a Progressive means forgetting what you said only a few years ago, when the "smart people" argued that America as we once knew it was over, and the best we could hope for from here on out was 2% growth, which Obama had masterfully achieved.
IMHO, I don't think O'Liar can even take credit for the tepid 2% growth. Perhaps that happened by sheer determination of Americans trying to keep capitalism alive (and not starve!).
Doesn't anyone think the suspicious packages sent to Trump's enemies a bit suspicious in it's timing? The media has blabbed about nothing but the illegal invasion for days and this seemed to be in Trump's/Republican favor and now all they're talking about is the attempts on the leftists. This less than two weeks before an important election and taking the spotlight off Trump and throwing sympathy to the left. I don't buy it. It's too coincidental.
ReplyDeleteBTW. Pipe bombs are extremely easy to make using common household chemicals and totally untraceable hardware store parts.......or so I have been told.
ReplyDeleteI don't care what Mom said...to hell with that jug-eared asshole.
ReplyDeleteAnd, if anyone is silly enough to think that all of these "bombs" and "white powder"
mailings were sent by anyone other than another Leftist lunatic trying to make US
look like them, I've got a Monica-used cigar for sale. Cheap.
It's been done before, like when the nazi's torched the reichstag to pave the way for them to assume total power .
ReplyDeleteWouldn't it be funny if it turned out Wasserman-Schultz really did send them?
ReplyDeleteCaravan / invaders... we need to set up a processing station on THAT side, and stop them there. Anyone legit could be processed properly. People can stay together and the people providing food, water, sanitation can continue to do so.
ReplyDeleteThis assumes that we can't disable their vehicles, and bring the whole thing to a screeching halt.
However, bottom line - any attempt to breech our borders 'should' be met w/ deadly force. DO make the effort to not shoot wimmens and (LITTLE) kids, but in terms of entry, the message needs to be 'You Shall NOT PASSSS!!!!!!'
Bombs - yep, anyone that incompetent is almost certainly a progtard. and probably on payroll. Give 'em two days, they'll be bragging on FeceBoger...
"And just like that, some idiot Saudi "Journalist" a-hole was last weeks news"
@Sortahwitte:
ReplyDelete> a root canal with a hammer and chisel
Close but no cigar. A root canal with a hammer and sickle.
@Colby Muenster said "IMHO, I don't think O'Liar can even take credit for the tepid 2% growth.
ReplyDeleteYou have a good point. In reality, most of that "growth" was actually just inflation resulting from the printing of trillions of dollars by the neo-Keynesians at the Federal Reserve in the name of "stimulus" and "quantitative easing" that had absolutely no where useful to go other than to bid up the prices of assets and equities.
And again, it was the bankers, Wall Street, the well-assetted, and the hated 1%-ers who almost exclusively got to reap the benefit of that. The rest of you got crumbs and ObamaCare.
@Judi King asks "Doesn't anyone think the suspicious packages sent to Trump's enemies a bit suspicious in it's timing?"
I don't think you're alone on that at all.
But it did get the "refugee caravan" off the front page. I have little doubt that when the polling came back on that narrative, the Democrats found that to be the real "bomb".
As @Fish Out of Water suggests, it's just too much "like when the nazi's torched the reichstag". It is, but don't expect your average Democrat to know enough actual history to understand the meaning of that. After all, they still think we're the real fascists.
All I do know is that when the bomber(s) are eventually caught, it won't be conservatives who eventually reward them with comfortable, influential, and high-paying jobs in academia.
@Velveeta Processed Cheese Food- Yes, but metaphorically speaking, the damn fish won't stay shot.
ReplyDelete@valvenator- Yeah, it seems like that happens a lot.
@Jim G- I actually saw a Facebook exchange the other day in which a conservative had posted Trump's many successes in comparison to Obama, and an annoyed liberal said that Obama has still been the better president because he was "cool and articulate instead of being a douche." So yes, there are a lot of people who think Obama was a GREAT president despite an astonishingly bad performance record.
@Ed Nelson- Thanks. I got way more honked off by Obama's statement than I should have, but I hate the fact that Dems can simply lie about history - even very recent history - and those on the Left just lap it up.
@M. Mitchell Marmel- As God is my witness, I couldn't name a single Justin Bieber song if my life depended on it.
@Geoff King- I'm pretty sure Barry kept his phone and his pen warm in there, too.
@Sortahwitte- I agree that Barry's re-election came as a very major blow. It was idiotic enough that he got elected the first time, but when the second election came around he was a known quantity: a radical, anti-American, anti-capitalism ideologue who relished doing damage to our nation. When he was re-elected, I lost a lot of faith in my fellow citizens. Faith which has never, and probably will never, come back.
With respect to "The Miracle Jerker", I have but one comment:
ReplyDelete"You didn't build that!"
Stilton said:

True, Obama was not a douche. He was way above that.
No he was not just a douche, he was..
yes!...a Mega Douche!...Ruler of Doucheland!... the Douchenator!!!
Did I say was, I should say IS.
@John the Econ-
ReplyDeleteAbout 25 years ago, I was a Habitat for Humanity volunteer for a summer. The one event that stands out in my mind was when Jimmy Carter was going to come in and help finish up a house that we were working on. He shows up in the early afternoon, walks around glad-handing everyone, then pounds a few nails for the cameras. After that, "wasn't feeling well" and had to leave. Never saw him again. The TV news made it sound like he built the whole house himself. I never volunteered for them again.
@jgaultusa- Absolutely right. Things were starting to improve at the end of Obama's reign because the free market knew they weren't going to be hamstrung by that president any longer. Other than leaving, Obama did nothing to help effect our current economy.
ReplyDelete@MSG Grumpy- Excellent point! Staggering unemployment and a pitiful GDP were the "new normal," and Barry and his cronies said that there was no changing it. But those were lies, of course.
@Emmentaler Limburger- I thought I was having a deja vu moment there... (grin)
@Fish Out of Water- Interesting to consider the damage done by the Clinton loyalists during Obama's two terms. But it's laughable to think he would have caused less damage without their involvement.
@Gee M- You're not being over the top at all. And there are always bonus points for invoking the name of Cthulhu!
@Fred Ciampi- Seriously, what the hell sort of message are those "freedom seekers" trying to express when they burn our flag while looking to storm our borders? We already have enough assholes here without the need to import more.
@Bruce Bleu- It really is stunning that Obama blamed everything bad on Bush, but is now taking credit for conditions long after he himself has left office. What a weasel.
@Glenda T Goode- Not to take anything away from Trump, but Obama really does have more responsibility for the "economic miracle" for exactly the reason you mention: leaving office. Trump didn't need to ignite the economy, Obama just had to take his foot off its throat. The explosion of economic growth was simply the expression of market forces which had been artificially constrained for far too long.
@TrickyRicky- Like you, I try not to actually hate anyone. But also like you, I make an exception for Barry Soetoro.
@Chuck- Obama was FAR worse than Carter. For one thing, I believe Carter was at least trying to do good things and failing. Barry was doing bad things and too often succeeded.
A few years back there was a group of men from the local suburbs working on a HfH home in the city. Mostly older retired gents with a bit of extra time on their hands.
ReplyDeleteWell, some of the kind and gentle folk from the neighborhood decided to repay them for their charitable hard work...by robbing them at gunpoint.
@Fish Out of Water- Well, when Hitler's right, he's right.
ReplyDelete@REM1875- As I said above, the only thing Barry ever did to jumpstart the economy was to leave office.
@Stinking Bishop- Hey, your brain is working fine.
@Velveeta Processed Cheese Food- Boom! Exactly. Nothing will ever convince me that Obama doesn't hate America.
@CC- The damage Obama did will indeed still be felt by generations to come. He took us to the brink of disaster...and Hillary would have taken us the rest of the way.
@John the Econ: "And again, it was the bankers, Wall Street, the well-assetted, and the hated 1%-ers who almost exclusively got to reap the benefit of that. The rest of you got crumbs and ObamaCare."
ReplyDeleteWhich, of course, means things went exactly as planned.
Enjoy the wit and wisdom I find here....but the thread by which we hold this country from the brink of idiocy continues to fray. Perhaps never before has complacency...OUR complacency...that lassie-fare attitude that put bama in the white house...been more of an enemy than now. VOTE!! And drag all those who can with you.
ReplyDelete@Gee M- Trump has got to stop the "caravan" if it reaches our borders. Period. The issue isn't whether the United States could manage to absorb 14,000 (or whatever the number is) illegals and endure whatever percentage of crime and disease comes with them. The issue is that by some estimates we have as many as 30 million illegals already here, and we clearly can't absorb them all - and the ones to follow - without doing real hard to our nation. A slow invasion is still an invasion, and the President's duty is clear.
ReplyDelete@John the Econ- Great points all. And I tend to think of Obama as the cork in a bottle of vigorously shaken champagne. Other than having offered obstruction, the cork has nothing to do with the explosive aftermath of all that pent up pressure.
@Colby Muenster- I didn't even know people COULD get warts on their asses. Yet another reason, I suppose, that Hillary wears floppy pantsuits. And I agree with you that Barry can't even take credit for the miserable 2% GDP growth during his administration; he didn't "stimulate" anything, and that 2% really represents his success in delaying the inevitable recovery that market forces alone provided.
@Judi King- Something stinks on ice with this pipe bomb situation. It could well be an anti-Democrat wacko to blame, but the bombs themselves and method of delivery suggests the strong possibility that these devices were only intended to cause explosions in social media posts. Mrs. J suggested "why not Russia?" behind them, which is as plausible as many theories and better than most. Why? Because previous Russian efforts weren't made to help or hinder certain candidates so much as just to rile everyone up and getting us fighting each other. "Disruption" was the only goal. And these "bombs" have certainly accomplished that, whoever is to blame.
@Geoff King- I'm really eager to hear actual forensic facts about this pipe bomb situation. As I mentioned above, I think these were first and foremost "social media bombs," and they were just as explosive as the sender intended.
@Section147- If I were a betting man, I'd say you're right about the source of the pipe bombs. That being said, we demanded actual evidence in the Kavanaugh hearings and need to stick to the same standards now.
@Fish Out of Water- Or how about the "black church burnings" under Clinton? Turns out they weren't done by white racists, but by black agitators. And though few remember now, Clinton claimed the church burnings were of such grave importance that he reassigned intelligence services which HAD been monitoring Osama bin Laden. God knows that didn't play out well.
@Emmentaler Limburger- It would be funny! Maybe she got a pipe bomb chain letter, promising that if she sent pipe bombs to 10 friends and put her name at the bottom of the mailing list, in 3 weeks she'd receive 32,000 pipe bombs.
@ Stilton: Actually know little about that. During most of Slick Willie's Presidency I was living 8000 miles away from the U.S. But agree that past instances of supposed right wing extremist misdeeds, the most recent, bogus harassment claims of an Ohio state student, my first inclination is false flag.
DeleteOh no doubt unintentional, but the 'under clinton' made me smile.
@Pete (Detroit)- I've seen tests of anti-mob devices which we theoretically have at our disposal. One that springs to mind is a microwave projector that makes people feel like their skin is on fire. Deploying a number of those might be a good non-lethal way of keeping the "caravan" on the other side of the border.
ReplyDelete@Mike_C- Well played, sir.
@John the Econ- Regarding the bombs, has anyone asked Bill Ayers what his current hobby is...?
@JustaJeepGuy- Spot on. Barry was (and is) a communist at heart, and his political power is based almost entirely on his skin color and clever manipulation of racial guilt and fears in this country.
@Anonymous- THAT is the perfect rejoinder to Obama's claim!
@valvenator- I couldn't agree more.
@FlyBoy- And yet, by dint of pounding in only a few nails, Carter still did more than Barry did in 8 years.
@valvenator- I spent one day working on a Habitat for Humanity home (and met wonderful people doing so) but I must admit that the nearby neighborhoods were places I wouldn't want to be after dark - or alone in broad daylight.
@Dan- Exactly.
@Anonymous- I'm glad to report that I voted yesterday and had to stand in a significant line to do so. I have to admit, and not without a twinge of shame, that while standing in line I found myself trying to guess which voters were patriots and which were "the enemy." That's not how I want to think about fellow Americans, but I'd be lying if I didn't admit to it.
there are always bonus points for invoking the name of Cthulhu!
ReplyDeleteAh, but only if you can PRONOUNCE it without getting your shirt wet, or looking like a cast member from "One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest"...
Off topic, but I've wondered if the platform for this blog, has a couple of nice features used on the WSJ comments section.
ReplyDeleteFirst, is it possible to reply directly under the comment you are replying to, instead of your reply being put at the end of the comment thread, necessitating the @whoever prefix?
Second, is there a feature which allows you to 'like' a particular comment?
I marvel at the efficiency of the USPS. They were able to deliver several extremely suspicious packages to several states simultaneously, all with insufficient postage and did not even bother to cancel the stamps.
ReplyDelete@FlyBoy said "He shows up in the early afternoon, walks around glad-handing everyone, then pounds a few nails for the cameras."
ReplyDeleteAnd yet, in that 15 minutes he still built more than he did over his 4 years as President, and that was more manual labor than Obama will ever do.
@Stilton asks, "...has anyone asked Bill Ayers what his current hobby is...?
Like most Progressives these days, he outsources his violence while living the comfortable life.
@Geoff King, interesting that.
Fish - I believe that's been discussed before, and the answer to both is 'no'...
ReplyDeleteSadly.
@FlyBoy,
ReplyDeleteI actually worked for HFH for a couple of years, and was a volunteer for several years before that. I was a firm believer (and still am for that matter) in the vision and leadership of the founder, Millard Fuller. Since they railroaded Millard and sent him packing, I have no use for them. The local affiliate has turned into running a store to pay the staff salaries. Building affordable homes for the needy seems to take a back seat.
That being said, I worked on a Jimmah Catah work project in Valdosta one summer. Same deal... Jimmah showed up for photo ops, then suddenly came down ill and couldn't help actually build. What a crock.
Couple of interesting points on the pipe bombs that I just learned and the MSM is not reporting.
ReplyDeleteThe reported package sent to Mayor Cuomo was, in fact, not suspicious and had nothing to do with the other packages.
All people under Secret Service protection, such as the Clintons and Ă˜bamas, have their mail thouroughly examined offsite before final delivery, so there was never any actual danger to those fine individuals.
Hey....you are all wrong! Here are so many reasons to vote Demorat at the upcoming election!

ReplyDeleteIf only you hadn't used the terms "thread" and "frayed".
I must post this...forgive me,all.
These three strings are walking along, dying of thirst in the middle of Death Valley. After a long, long trek. They come to a bar. One string says:
"Boy, this is just in time...I can't go any farther." So he walks into the bar and orders a drink.
"Can't you read the sign there? We don't serve no strings here" bellows the bartender.
"But I'm going to die of thirst" protests the string.
With that the bartender picks him up, and throws him out into the street.
One of his buddies says "I'll disguise myself as a rope and go in to get us a drink." So, in he goes.
"Hey, I thought I told your friend that we don't serve your kind here. Now get out that door before I stomp on you!" So he quickly retreats out the door.
Finally the last string says "Hey, I've got an idea...I'll tie myself up like a pretzel, and fray out my ends, so he won't recognize me." So, he goes into the bar. He gets up to the bar and orders a drink.
The bartender eyes him a little suspiciously. "Hey, aren't you one of those strings I told to get out of here?"
To which the string answered "No, I'm afraid not."
Remember, a pun is it's own reword.
Gee M...

My theory on all the fine folks marching north and timed to arrive just in time for the election is that this is Barry's special delivery of nose candy which he is gonna need when the results start coming in at 8:00 P.M. Eastern time.
