Congressional Testy Moaning

stilton’s place, stilton, political, humor, conservative, cartoons, jokes, hope n’ change, trump, cohen, testimony, bullshit
The question everyone in America should be asking right now.
Politicians and alleged newscasters have been shocked, shocked, by the carefully choreographed Congressional testimony of prison-bound, disbarred, sleazeball former Trump attorney, Michael Cohen.

Disclaimer: we haven't really trained our laser-like focus on said testimony because (and we want to put this as delicately as possible) circle-jerks may be fun for participants but offer very little to outside observers.

To the best of our nearly nonexistent knowledge, Cohen hasn't produced a single substantive charge against Trump, other than to allege that the President is egotistical, sometimes uses bad language, puzzlingly finds porn stars and Playboy playmates attractive (and would rather that his wife not find out), that he's a wheeler-dealer, and that he believes some starving, corrupt, disease-ridden countries are "shitholes."

Of course, Cohen has hinted at much more and much worse. Which could be really problematic if hints from a serial liar carried any legal weight. But they don't. Still, that hasn't prevented pointless exchanges like this during testimony:

Debbie Wasserman-Schultz: Is it possible that (Trump's) whole family is conflicted or compromised with a foreign adversary in the months before an election?
Cohen (reading from script): Yes.

Wow! And is it possible that Debbie Wasserman-Schultz uses still-warm pureed fetuses in the shower to make her hair wavy? Also yes! Isn't "possible" a wonderful word?

The Left gleefully believes that if Donald Trump can be proven guilty of anything - no matter how slight - that by extension he's guilty of everything and can be impeached and removed from office. But they're forgetting that for many of us who voted for Trump, his character flaws have been known from the start and weren't considered disqualifiers for the filthy, stinking job that absolutely needed doing. And which he's doing pretty darn well.

BONUS: WHAT A DEALDO

stilton’s place, stilton, political, humor, conservative, cartoons, jokes, hope n’ change, trump, kim, north korea, summit, nuclear, vietnam

While the Left was busy trying to sabotage the President of the United States, the President himself was in Vietnam trying to strike a nuclear disarmament deal with North Korea's Kim Jong Un.

It is "possible" (we told you we like that word!) that Kim was aware of the attempted stateside tar-and-feathering of Mr. Trump, and decided that it would give him a leg up at the bargaining table. Which is why, when the vicious little despot announced that he wasn't willing to put anything substantive on the bargaining table, he was probably shocked by Trump's announcement that the summit was over and that he was leaving immediately without even staying for the fancy diplomatic lunch.

Frankly, we think Mr. Trump handled this situation perfectly. There was never any guarantee of a deal, but Trump at least brought Kim to the table and, once the situation became clear, made him look like a petulant little jackass.

Compare this to the years of ineffectual ass-kissing we saw from Barack Obama (with North Korea and especially Iran), and we're definitely putting this one into the "win" category for the President.

Maybe no deal with little rocketman, but Boeing signed a deal with the Hanoi folks for them to purchase Boeing stuff in the 15 billion dollars range.
I don't think they've seen that much Boeing in Vietnam since Operation Linebacker II.

Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, the woman that got fired from the DNC for rigging the primaries on behalf of a woman who actually was conflicted AND compromised with foreign adversaries questioning a guy who had contradicted himself countless times before he even walked in the room. Was that supposed to be some kind of joke?

Oh, and anyone else notice Hillary's fixer Lanny Davis sitting behind as Cohen's bench coach?

What you witnessed this week wasn't about Trump's dalliances or malfeasance. It's the ongoing diversion from the real scandal that makes Watergate look quaint; About the Obama Administration allowing the deep state to assist the Clinton campaign. Trump's no saint. But of all the players in this tale, he's no where close to being the most treasonous.

No Deal for You! On Wednesday, the networks were speculating that Trump was going to give away the store. By Thursday, they were apoplectic that he walked. There's just no pleasing those people.

As someone who's done his share of deals over the years, I can say that nothing gives you more power in any situation that being able and willing to walk away, even when you want the deal. That's the difference with Trump. The typical globalist politico, say like Obama, will literally do anything to be able to do a smile and a handshake for the cameras. And everyone knows it, so we repeatedly get screwed. Say, like the Iran deal. Trump is willing to walk away and wait for the better offer.

Although I do suspect that Kim Jong Un is really stretching this nonsense out just so that he can have the opportunities to escape dreary North Korea and enjoy some decent meals.

Actually, CBS, NBC and Fox should sue these nitwits. They stayed with this farce, cancelling the morning game shows and noon to two soaps and brought in not a dime's worth of revenue. Can you imagine the loss they suffered over a nothing burger? Of course, it messed up my Ms entire day without her daily dramas (and winning a New Car!!!). Although the TV dramas had more reality.

So DJT made Kim Jung look ill! ;-)

Imagine that, President Trump didn't give away the store for the sake of getting a deal like Obama did with Iran.

It is not only possible, but I’d say absolutely certain that that Wasserman-Schultz is somehow separated at birth from the Creature of the Black Lagoon. Those who would know state for certain that they’ve never been seen in the same swamp together. Isn't "certain” a wonderful word?

Debbie Was-a-man Schultz back in the news. Be still my beating heart.

Evidently Cohen said that Trump never expected to become president, but viewed his campaign more as an "infomercial". That alone should suggest that he in no way had collusion with Russia.
Supposedly Kimmy the Un has already said that he would like another meeting with Trump. Another win for the president.
In other news, L.A. just went through the first Februrary in 132 years where the temperature never hit 70 degrees. Add to that the recent record breaking Polar Vortex and it is no wonder that, other than delusional AOC, the left in general and Al Gore specifically have not mentioned Global Warming/Climate Change in quite some time now.

If Donald Trump didn't expect to be President, why did he run? Was he bored running a ba-zillion dollar mega corporation? Did he have a wad of cash burning a hole in his pocket and decided that he had enough world-class hotels? Was he tired of staying home nights with the super model wife and intelligent, productive, kids?

DJT knew EXACTLY what he was doing and where he was going to end up when he walked down those stairs and stepped up to that microphone. Becoming President was as well planned and calculated as building a five-star golf resort.

Avenatti can thank his lucky stars that Cohen has taken his title of sleazeball shyster lawyer.

If there is a Wassermann test for syphilis, is there a similar Wasserman-Shultz test for chutzpah?

@Mr. Econ, Lanny Davis is Cohen's pro bono lawyer. The entire nonsense was scripted by him and really by Clinton, Inc. Color me surprised. I'm wondering why the Oversight Committee conducted this nonsense anyway. It seems out of their purview. Oh right, Orange Man Bad!

Didn't Dumbass Washerwoman-Schitz (Affectionately referred to as "that moonbat from Florida") also have some doings with some foreign nationals who provided her IT "services", such as shipping all of her data to Pakistan? Is it possible that every brain cell in her noggin is conflicted to find themselves not in the amoeba they were actually designed for?

Democrats. The gift that keeps on giving. To think "people" vote for these...

I think it's "possible" this latest Libtard dog and pony show will actually backfire on them. Frankly, I hope they keep this shit up. The more they concentrate on getting Trump, the less they'll concentrate on beating him in an actual election. There's gonna be what, about 37 candidates lined up for the primaries? All trying to out-Trump-bash and out-socialist each other...

Just speculatin' here, but could be that Trump had no intention of making a deal with Fatboy Un from the get go. Make the little turd beg. "OK, Kim. I'll lift the sanctions, but you turn over the keys to the kingdom to the South Koreans. I'm sure they'll reward you with a cushy job in the government, like 'Chief Document Stapler' or something."

Dan said...

So what's South Korea doing while all this folderol goes on? And how about the United Nations? They're the ones who ran the "police action" in Korea. There's still a UN Command there. In fact, I think the UN Command runs the Joint Security Area up at Panmunjom on the DMZ.

Bit off topic, but as AOC is also featured:

If this doesn't signal her 2020 electoral goose is not only cooked, but fricasseed as well, then I don't know what does.

Okay, here's the skinny on Kim "Shortstack" Jong Un : He considers himself a playuh and a ladies man. He wants to turn NorKor into the Riviera of the Far East after viewing DJT's little futuristic video of what could be if he sees the light and leaves the dark side. Trump should take him to Vegas just to give him a "taste" of the good life. Throw in some top shelf hookers and get Debbie and AOC to give him lap dances and reach-arounds. Problem solved.....

Shock Horror! Somebody said no, to the little mouse that roared. He will need therapy for years over that one.
Well done Mr. President.
As for taking the little creep to Vegas. Nope, take him nowhere, and tell him nothing.
