Rather than dwell on the unpleasantness of current news, Hope n' Change would like to take this opportunity to reflect on Mother's Day (the most sacred of all Hallmark holidays). And who better exemplifies all things maternal than Hillary Clinton?Sure, she once denigrated women who do things like staying home and baking cookies for their families. And she humiliated her young daughter during the White House years by dragging her around as a prop to pose with her cheating, DNA-spewing dog of a husband. And she underpays her female staffers who may themselves be moms.
But Hillary has a soft, sentimental motherly side, too!
Although you'll just have to take her word for it since - by her own proud declaration - she decided to go into her private server and erase every email and computer document related to her daughter's wedding, the birth of her first grandchild, and her own mother's final months of life and memorial service.
Come to think of it, Hillary doesn't exemplify anything good about Mother's Day. But maybe our current first lady does...
Still, Hope n' Change thinks the world of most mothers and wishes them all the best this Sunday. And while their love and lessons last forever, sadly, our mothers themselves are here for all too short a time. Be sure to hug 'em if you got 'em.

Happy Mother's Day to all who are, or in the case of some of my family, to all pet-moms, lol. I'm not being judgemental or saying it's wrong, and I've been both. Mom to two and four legged kids, some were a little hairier than others. (I can think of at least one time I had to go through a list of four kids and four dogs to get the right name.) Though I draw the line at four legs, mind you, more than that squicks me out a little. I've even had some with no legs who seemed to love swimming. And hey, even some I'm not sure are too sentient but seem to like being in the dirt a lot. I might even claim some of the dust rhino's around the house as I think they are taking over and they certainly seem to follow me around a lot.
I enjoyed 'Mutha's Day' but I reckon Pam Grier would have done it better.
It also reminded me of Cleopatra Schwartz.....
SHE was six feet of black dynamite...
HE was a short hasidic jew.....
Happy Day, all you muthas out there!
Personally, I'm waiting for Father's Day, so I can reprise that great old Groucho Marx song...
Ugh! Waking up to an image of venal, vile pathological liar and most unfit, unqualified and unsuited democratic POTUS candidate since Henry Wallace and her spawn is enough to curdle my morning coffee.
I must say that today's photos reminded me of the lines in one of Merle's songs
"There's two kind of cherries and two kind of fairies,
And two kind of mothers I'm told."
In my opinion the mothers in today's photos are not the kind that Mother's Day is for. I believe they are the second kind.
"Mother's Day? Oh, @Stilton. You are woefully out of touch with the times.
The operative term now is "Birthing Person's Day".
Missouri Democratic Congresswoman Cori Bush: "I sit before you today as a single mom, as a nurse, as an activist, congresswoman, and I am committed to doing the absolute most to protect Black mothers, to protect Black babies, to protect Black birthing people, and to save lives," she said.
Such is the paradox of modern Progressivism, simultaneously encouraging the feralization of humankind while also totally dehumanizing everything, including womanhood and motherhood itself.
Anyone other than myself remember when it was Democrats accusing Republicans of conducting a "War on Women"?
"Republican Congresswoman Nancy Mace of South Carolina tweeted: "'Birthing people'—you mean women or moms? The left is so woke they're stripping from women the one thing that only we can do."
This "birthing people" remark (which was also repeated by other woke Democrats) was so off the charts that even fellow Hollywood wokesters got jolted and took notice.
Noted feminist Actress Rose McGowan tweeted: "Birthing People? I'm empathetic to your painful & unfairly traumatic experience @CoriBush but why are you smearing bio-women to virtue signal to trans women? Why can't we rise together? Your language is creepy. You are gaslighting. What you are doing is dangerous. #DemCult"
Oh, lay off Rose. Even you must realize that by next year, America's woke corporate toadies will see to it that the greeting card section of your local supermarket will have a "birthing persons" section beginning to push out the "mothers" category.
Speaking of the War on Women:
Biological male weightlifter who identifies as female and competes against women poised to become first transgender Olympian
Yup. A mediocre competitive weightlifter who was never competitive against fellow fellows is instead going to complete against women at the Tokyo Olympics.
Personally, I think this is great! Call me a contrarian, but I am all in favor of allowing this Progressive insanity to infect the last public meritocracy we have left, sports. Let the whole world see where Progressivism ultimately leads. Sorry, ladies. In order to save your gender we're going to have to destroy it.
"Necessity is the birthing person of all invention?" "Frank Zappa and the Birthing Persons of Invention?" "Birthing Person nature?" "Birthing Person off all headaches?" Or imagine Samuel L. Jackson saying, "Listen up, birthing person f**ker!" Then there's Alan Sherman's "Hello Birthing Person, Hello Faddah."
Why do liberals have to ruin friggin' EVERYTHING by turning it political and woke!?
But seriously, having been adopted at the ripe old age of three days, I never met my "birthing person," but the female person who lovingly raised me will forever be my mother. I guess this is what libtards don't understand. The biological part of having a child is not what makes a person a mother.
@John the Econ,
I would LOVE to see the real women weightlifters beat the living crap out of that dickweed. But, I guess I agree with you that this woke nonsense is not going to stop until everything has been ruined, including sports. I hope the purveyors are happy with the world they create; I have a feeling the bounce back will not be pleasant when it eventually happens.
Yeah, I remember that movie genre,
back before thug's lives mattered.
Good times… good times
Remember June 20th is Mofos Day.
Stilt, you got a Samuel L. Jackson vid for that?
Thank goodness I have wonderful memories of my Mother, who was very accomplished in the professional world as well as a great parent, to cleanse my palate after seeing the two scheming and feckless mothers presented in today's strip.
OK Stilt, which of the following mothers most exemplify today's Woke Harridans: Michelle(ma Belle)Obama, Hillary(ashtray Annie)Clinton or Ma Barker? My vote's on Ma Barker. Her family was all with her when she died!
@mamafrog- I like your broad definition of motherhood!
@Popular Front- I enjoy a good exploitation film from time to time (especially now that they're practically illegal). And Pam Grier was a queen of the genre.
@M. Mitchell Marmel- Father's Day?! Geez, I've been doing Farter's Day wrong for years...!
@Fish Out of Water- But you can sweeten that coffee by remembering that Hillary will never be president and she'll never get over the shock and anger of losing to Trump.
@American Cowboy- I absolutely agree. Motherhood is a fine institution when done right.
@John the Econ- I was aware of the new "Birthing Person" paradigm, but couldn't resist using the old post verbatim. Mocking Hillary Clinton is a familiar pleasure I don't get to indulge in very often anymore.
You make excellent points about the madness of all of this re-labeling and the likelihood that men pretending to be women will be the death of women's sports. And I agree that it's a sad but necessary evil; give the Left what they want (in this instance) until they don't want it anymore.
@Colby Muenster- You're right; biology can make a person a donor, but it's love and dedication that make a parent. My own father was sired by a traveling piano player from Ireland who skipped down before my Dad was born. He was raised by his grandparents (although he didn't know the truth of that for many years, having been officially "adopted") and he loved his Mother and Daddy wholeheartedly. They were wonderful parents to him.
@DougM- Geez, I didn't even know about Mofos Day but I'll mark it on my calendar! And that gives me time to look for that Samuel L. Jackson video...
@TrickRicky- Just your description of your mother is a palate-cleanser from the dreadful women in today's post. And my own mother was, yes, a saint. Tomorrow (May 11) is the anniversary of her passing 11 years ago. That's the day I became a 57 year old orphan.
@Fritzchen- That's a beautiful thought (dabbing tears).
Over the top perhaps, but:

@Fish: If anything, a tad understated. :P
After decades of having to listen to Democrats whine that Republicans want to destroy Title IX, I can't wait until these guys start taking scholarships away from "bio-women".
At what point to we get to declare victory in this War on Women I've been told we are conducting?
@Colby Muenster said "I would LOVE to see the real women weightlifters beat the living crap out of that dickweed."
Me too, and when you say "beat the living crap", I wish it could be literally. But unfortunately, the reality is that women are at a physical disadvantage when it comes to competing against men in most forums. For most of recorded history, cultural norms have been built upon the notion that women are to be protected in societies. 2nd-wave feminism sought to exploit this by trying to have things both ways; society protecting women while also legislating advantages for them. But skip ahead to today's 4th-wave and women are now being faced with a world that will draw no quarter for if their interests are up against any favored political group.
@Fish Out of Water, wasn't "the calm, peaceful life" what people thought they were voting for with Biden versus the "mean tweet man"?
That video ought to be the basis for the GOP in 2024.
@Popular Front,
There was never a better blaxploitation film than "Cleopatra Schwarz!". Even if all you ever saw was the trailer...
I wish I had a copy of Kentucky Fried Movie!
For those poor souls who haven't seen the trailer for "Cleopatra Schwartz"...

You're welcome.
@3M,
I guess you can see all of Kentucky Fried Movie on youtube...
@Jeep:
Pretty much, yeah.

@3M,
I saw Kentucky Fried Movie many years before I saw Enter The Dragon. ETD had lost all seriousness value when I did finally see it. A Fistful Of Yen made it impossible to watch ETD without busting out laughing. I'd still watch them both though.
