The Real Deal

stilton’s place, stilton, political, humor, conservative, cartoons, jokes, hope n’ change, hunter biden, laptop, lefty lucy, santa, hen's teeth

Once again, Lefty Lucy has come very, very close to having a "truth" breakthrough. But sadly her train of thought derailed, plowed into a small city, and multiple tankloads of chemicals exploded and leveled the sleepy community, killing everyone within three miles. Much the same happens whenever Lucy tries to use her brain to decide what to order at Starbucks.

But she does make a good point about there being a Santa Claus because on Friday I'll be posting details about how you (and everyone you know and love) can download a free copy of the delightfully funny book I co-wrote with Kathy, "The Skin of a Hen's Teeth."  If you don't already have a free Kindle reading app on your computer, tablet, or phone, this might be a good time to go ahead and download one so you can pounce on the upcoming opportunity.

The paperback version, which is a thing of beauty, will also be sale-priced at the lowest price I can offer (no profit for me, which is fine because I'm only doing this to spread laughter).

Full details on Friday!

RED SYMPATHIES AT MORNING, READERS TAKE WARNING

The good folks at Google/Blogger have informed me that you may be seeing this before opening some of my blog posts (including ancient ones):

Have I changed my content by even a whit (or half-whit)? No. Has Google/Blogger changed their "community guidelines?" Apparently so. Or maybe they've just finally noticed me.

Frankly, if you have a problem with "sensitive content" you're already in the wrong place. But as my insensitivity level has remained unchanged in the many years I've been doing this blog, I would suggest that if you encounter the warning above in the future just ignore it and the horse it rode in on.

Think of it as street cred, Stilt. ;-)

And I don't think Lucy's train of thought could explode. A train can't explode if there's nothing inside but a slight vacuum.

"Sensitive content" is why we come here.

Stilt,

Dude, I would shag Lucy, if she wasn't a Lefty.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch.....there are hens teeth everywhere !!!

you must have offended one of the snow flakes OR some of the Twitter "layoffees" have found work at Google. Its their life calling and the only way the sensitive little Pr!cks can find air to breathe.

I anxiously await the pending release of your next classic work!

As for whether Google changed the rules, who knows? They certainly don't. I recall this subject coming up a few years ago. They make up the "rules" as they go along, using any excuse they can come up with to discourage anything "they" decide is "improper". There may be a better alternative host these days as more rational people have begun to realize that the wokesters are poisoning their own domains.

Lucy and Karine Jean-Pierre must be twins, separated at birth. With a cleaver.

I am surprised you haven't been flagged as "insensitive content" long before this. I mean, Johnny Optimism should have had you banned years ago. Wait, does Johnny identify as transgender? Is that how you've gotten away with it for so long? Clever!

Hens teeth are everywhere… they’re hidden under the horsefeathers.

That’s you Stilt, Mr Sensitive!

It's heartwarming to find that Google actually cares about protecting us "sensitive" readers. Though I may be confusing heartwarming with heartburning.

That warning is much like the free map from Avis or Hertz warning to not drive their rental on certain roads in a scenic area. We sometimes didn't know where we WHERE going until that tour guide was provided. Just consider the snitty little note as saying "Recommended".

Rod at 06.59 hits the nail on the head. We don't come here for soy.

(Almost) talking of which, a wag on 'Not the Telegraph letters' wrote a funny;

As I collected my coffee from the barista this morning, I said, "Thank you, young man."

He puffed up and said, "Did you just assume my gender?"

I replied, "My mistake. Thank you, you attention-seeking moron."

Manners cost nothing. ;-)

Keep up the god work, Will

"Sensitive Content?" The content is not sensitive! People are.

It is odd that these unschooled people of media don't know which way is up.

I suppose that is no value in trying to show them the relative relatively of solitary things. Like; Unique, Uniquer and Uniquerest.

Bless you, Stilt.

Oh! Look at the date. A date that will live in infamy. When I was in the Army, stationed at Misawa AB, Japan, we would sometimes refer to today as Slap-a-Jap Day.

I'll be counting the days to the release. (two is about all I can do) If the sensitivity police show up here, I wish them luck. None here!

Stilt, thanks for the heads up. I certainly do need a good laugh now...

Keep Moving!!!!

Dan, on the 7th of December, 1991, I was passing through Barber's Point, HI and opened the main cabin door of the P-3C I was riding in.
Right next to me was one just like mine, except it had a big red meatball on the side.
Took me a while to untwist my head from around that one...

Looks-wise, Lucy came away with the better half of that deal.

Happy Pearl Harbor Day. BTW, on 12-7-1961 I was on an AKA (on the was to Okinawa) in Pearl Harbor and across the harbor was some construction going on. I asked one of the sailors what was going on. He said that they were building a monument on the Battleship Arizona. I should have taken more pictures.

Sensitive content for those who can't deal with butthurt?

Of course nothing here has changed. What has changed is the rest of the country. My positions on most issues haven't changed much over the last 40 years. But today most of that country considers me "far right". Well, today JFK would too be considered "far right". Bill Clinton would be. Heck, even Obama would today be considered at best a "moderate" of the Democratic Party. How far down the slippery slope have we gone? I can't think of any far-leftist I've known from decades ago who'd think that it was okay for sexually confused boys to have full reign over the girls bathrooms or showers. Today, mainstream leftists will call you a bigot for calling that out. Heck, even Jesus is now pro-abortion, or so I've been told.

Progressivism can only thrive in the absence of opposition. And the best opposition is ridicule. So that's why you're now flagged.

Well, I can't truthfully say "Happy" Pearl Harbor Day but I can say a heartfelt thank you and we remember you to those who died and those who came back.

Can I be offended now? Just for the heck of it? I don't know what about but I'm sure there's something that someone wants me to be offended over and thought I'd help out some idiot who is. Right out the nearest window maybe...

Okay, okay, I'll try to be more sensitive too, other than my skin as I'm a delicate and fragily frickin' flower.

Just a point of order here today. I have assumed Lefty is a militant secularist and if so, then wouldn't she forgo the Christmas tree?

Reminds me,
I think the original phrase was:
Scarce as Hens' Teats
(What? Well, that's as close to foul language as Stilt allows here)

I was reminded yesterday that the name Arizona is being bestowed on a new submarine, SSN-803, whose keel-laying ceremony was held in Rhode Island.

While I am happy that our nation continues to build new and better subs, I am somewhat saddened that someone decided that using the Arizona name again was a good idea. In my mind it would have been better to keep USS Arizona as a memorial to those that died aboard her and to all the others who died on December 7th, 1941. Surely there are other states that would have been happy to sponsor a first-line combat ship. Maybe they could have named it for Barry M. Goldwater, instead.

rickn8or said...

They had to use "Arizona" because "Harvey Milk" and "Gabby Giffords" had already been used.

It had been my understanding that the USS Arizona was never officially decommissioned. But it turns out that this was not the case. It was officially decommissioned shortly after being sunk in December of '41. It only retains the right to fly the flag as if she were still a commissioned ship.

Either way @Murphy(AZ), I concur with your sentiment.

@Stilton,

Your blog opened just fine today; hopefully Googley Moogley will leave it the hell alone.

A pox on the purveyors of "sensitivity, gender identity, pronoun assignment.... etc." Hopefully Elon Musk will also buy Google, Fecesbook, the Washington Post, the NYT, and CNN.

Anonymous at 7:34,

I gotta remember that! No snowflakes have gotten offended at me to date, but now I'm ready.

Looking forward to the book, Stilton!
