Burn, baby, burn. |
This would, of course, only be a problem if Ms. Rice was a reprehensible person working in cahoots with a cabal of Machiavellian anti-Americans who intended to use the information for political purposes. In other words, this is one hell of a problem.
Rice has adamantly declared that she did nothing wrong, adding "I leaked nothing to nobody." Which, by the inflexible rules pertaining to the use of double negatives, means that she leaked everything to everybody. No doubt with considerable help from Barack Obama, who spontaneously (why does that word keep coming up in association with Susan Rice?) changed the rules pertaining to inter-agency sharing of raw intelligence just before leaving office in order to ensure as much damage to the incoming Trump administration as possible.
And speaking of Barry, just where is he while all this damning information is coming out...?
AND FROM THE VAULT...
When it comes to forgiving and forgetting, we don't do either.

Susan, it's not about the leaking, it's about the spying.
And who is footing the hotel (and other) bill for Obongo's stay?
(I'm afraid I already know the answer to this one.)
Uncle Benghazi...classic!
These people need to go to prison for a very long time....
And, lest we forget; Vietnamese Sticky Rice. The Vets who operated in hill country with the Montagnards will know what I mean.
Stilt, you simply MUST put the Uncle Benghazi rice box on FB! Then start a contest guessing how long before the dweebs over there take it down!
"write his memoir"???
Bill Ayers must be very busy
REM1875 said... "write his memoir"??? Bill Ayers must be very busy, Now, that right there is funny, no matter who you are.
Unfortunately, too many Americans will incorrectly interpret the double-negative as a statement of innocence. The double-negative never worked for me when I was a child; Ms Rice's usage doesn't work for me as an adult, either.
In the movie, "Courtship of Eddie's Father", little Eddie tells his dad (Frank Sinatra) that he didn't particularly like (or trust?) one of dad's dates because "...she's got skinny eyes...". Miz Dirty Rice has them, too...those skinny, lying eyes!
With regard to O, you're right on, Stilton. We already know he cannot 'finish' a book w/o a 'ghost' writer. And French Polynesia seems to be the perfect place to be his lazy ol' self, n'est ce pas?
Of course he is there on an "extended stay". There is no extradition from there.
And of course, Michael, I mean Michelle, is not there with him.
Bob
What Mike/Proof said. I'd love to have a post card with that on it.
Most likely no charges will ever be brought against Rice or any of the multitude of other Øbama Administration criminals. They control the media, the intelligence agencies, and they have most prosecutors and judges either in their pockets or in fear for their lives.
I think we can only hope that all those scandals will destroy the demonrats credibility for generations to come.
I'm hoping the investigations are already in progress; federal indictments will come after Trump's administration gets more needed work completed with zero Democrat support and before midterms; and prison time for that bunch of scum will start just before the 2018 campaign gets going. It would be interesting to see how an election goes when things are getting better, and everyone has to play by the rules and/or is in personal fear of what happened to their lead conspirators. And maybe Barry will be gone by then. Like back home outside the USA; or just gone.
Trump has a golden opportunity here to make an example out of leakers and law-breakers in the intelligence community. Susan Rice and others in the Obama bureaucracy should be publicly arrested and frog-walked in front of the cameras for all to see. Does anyone believe for one moment that the Dems would pass on such an opportunity?
The lame-stream media, meanwhile, has already started the "move on, nothing to see here" mantra. Typical of all libs when confronted with the truth: just ignore it or change the subject.
Regarding the MSM....the most powerful, far-reaching intelligence gathering apparatus in the entire world is turned on an incoming administration for political purposes and there's nothing to see? Unless Rice and her associated traitors face serious jail time, our constitutional republic has fallen to the level of Venezuela, with the chances of a rebound just about nil.
President 'The Donald' and company have been verry, verry quiet during all of this and I suspect (read hope) that he will strike fast and furious (I just made that up) right when the demoncrats think they have gotten away with all of their shenanigans. To coin another phrase, "The Shit Will Hit The Fan". Stand by, lock and load, and pass the 'shine.
The Rice Box was great but I had rather see his picture on a milk carton. Unfortunately, the poster are probably correct as there seems to be no penalty for democrats law breaking regardless of the magnitude. Remember Scooter Libby? Went to the pokey for something he did not do but was only accused of. Didn't matter, he was a Republican (or his lawyer was afraid for his and his family's lives.)
Never having been a Trump fan, I do have to admit that I've been enjoying watching him repeatedly set up the same trap for the Democrats, and watching them fall into it every single time. They're still not learning. Their old paradigm of accuse and sling with the media protecting their totally exposed hypocritical flank isn't working anymore. Everything is coming back to kick them in the ass. It's no longer perfect every crime.
Speaking of the media: If you were to ask your average Democrat who relies exclusively on "respectable" media outlets like CNN, you'd likely find that they haven't heard about this, even if they have a clue as to who Susan Rice is. In fact, CNN outright declared that they wouldn't be paying any attention to it, and encouraged their viewers to ignore it all together. Scott Adams has an interesting observation about this phenomenon:
"The manipulation comes in the form of what they emphasize and what they deemphasize. CNN apparently decided that the Susan Rice story was not important news. Coincidentally, this particular news also made them look like ridiculous turds for mocking the Trump “wiretapping” claim non-stop as a sign of the president’s character and perhaps his sanity.
We don’t know all the facts yet, but we do know that Trump’s claim of being “wiretapped” by Obama is starting to look dangerously close to something similar to the truth. CNN did not see that coming, and it would be awkward to walk-back all of their mocking. So they just sort of ignored it."
And so the mainstream media continues their relentless march into disgust and irrelevance.
And then there is Benghazi Rice: Talk about credibility problem. The "nothing to see here, move along" act is comical. Sorry Susan, you used that one all up in 2012. Worst appeal to authority ever.
@Rickn8or: The issue of US citizens being caught up in such surveillance (assuming they weren't the actual targets...)is problematic. The leaking of unmasked surveillance data is a felony.
@Geoff King: You're probably right, but we can dream, right?
@John the Econ: I find Scott Adams to be very insightful. Unlike Colbert and other comedians on their side...
Maybe the Ds are so interested in a Trump/Russia connection to hide their own? I mean, everything we've seen in the past 8 years plus this episode - the exercise of other branches powers, the "grassroots" activists-for-hire trashing the country, the fomenting of racial and class divides. And now surveillance against US citizens. Sounds like plays right out of the Bolsheviks' book... (OK, OK. So "maybe" is probably too indefinite a term...")
As Ricky Ricardo would say, "she's got some splainin to do."
So Obama got a FISA warrant to surveil the Russian Ambassador when the real target was the Trump campaign. More dishonesty. Is anyone besides me disturbed over the complete politicization of the intelligence agencies? They have enormous power and means to spy on everyone. This is scary stuff to me.
I loved Susan Rice's somewhat lengthy and convoluted explanation that sometimes you have to unmask the "Unites States Persons" in order to catch the bad guys. No, you vengeful hag, you don't "have to." Us peon "United States Persons" still have rights under The Constitution, as much as you hate it.
I know I'm being naïve, but in my mind, a gubmint employee should never, EVER be able to unmask the identity of a US citizen who was caught up in a surveillance, no matter how friggin "accidental" it was they got recorded. Under this method of operation, would bad guys get away? Yes, but The Constitution was written that way for a reason, dammit!
What Shelly said.... scary stuff indeed.
It would be raaaaacist to take Susan Rice's statement as being stupid, or misspoken.
Wouldn't "Congressional Intelligence Committee" be an oxymoron? Of course most government employees are just plain morons anyway.
Russia is in many ways becoming more like USA,& USA in many ways more like Russia. We really are not serious enemies & should not be. IMO that's a myth that's maintained & based upon political & industrial interests. Creeping Islam, Open borders, Healthcare, Education, Economy & Crooked press are far more serious issues.
As to tax season: Running late this year I just completed preparations to hand over to the CPA. It's time to get more whiskey; I'm getting low. Then on to my elderly parents' taxes; but they get refund so extension may be in order. I'm burned out on this overly complicated BS.
It's still a privilege to live here & pay reasonable taxes, especially if they're going to address the above issues AND prosecute some political felons.
@Emmentaler Limburger, why is it that the intellectual front of the left for the last several decades has been primarily comedians? It's scary the number of people I know who's primary source of news was Jon Stewart. They thought they were "educated", but they all babbled the exact same clueless sound bites.
As for the Russia connection: Clearly, Russia was the distraction that backfired. The more anyone looks, the more they realize that Russia was at least as connected to the Democrats as they were to Trump. Like I said above, the last thing the Democrats expected was that this would come back at them. The MSM hasn't been able to protect them as they could 25 years ago during the first Clinton era.
@Colby Muenster, the leak machine exists for this very purpose. The Progressive left owns the bureaucracy which now openly does its bidding with little fear of recourse. This was the real lesson of the IRS scandal.
Tsk Tsk...
Stilton, Stilton, Stilton...
You used WHITE rice in your picture. When Susan Rice is clearly black. That's just WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCIIIIIIISSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!
...and totally awesome
Totally off-topic, but this really tickled me:
Malibu officials denounce prank 'sanctuary city' placard bolted to roadside sign
"The sign sure looked official. It was posted on a shoulder of Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu and declared: “Official Sanctuary City ‘Cheap Nannies and Gardeners Make Malibu Great!’ (Boyle Heights Not So Much).”"
Malibu California is one of the recent cities to take the supposedly bold step to declare itself a "sanctuary city". It takes a special degree of irony impairment not to appreciate that Malibu is a special place that gets to enjoy the benefits of mass illegal immigration through cheap domestic labor, but doesn't have to deal with most of the downsides, since when the long day is done, the cheap domestic labor leaves to go home 20 to 30 miles away.
"On Wednesday however, city officials said the sign was nothing more than a mean prank."
Yes, stating the obvious truth is indeed "mean" these days.
Ahhh... schadenfreude and karma today. The Democraps are finally getting some well deserved payback for their 8 long years of shenanigans. The Republicans nuked their stupid little filibuster. How ya like it, Schumer? You should call yer old pal Harry, and thank him for making this possible.
I know, I know; gloating is not becoming, but I'm enjoying the moment.
Colby, stand by for howls of indignation by The Usual Suspects. I've looked, and I see nothing anywhere that says the 60-vote rule was brought down from a mountaintop on stone tablets.
