What's a Joint Like You Doing in a Nice Girl Like This?

stilton’s place, stilton, political, humor, conservative, cartoons, jokes, hope n’ change, mariana taylor, pledge of allegiance, protest, aclu, taking the knee, hillary, bill clinton, blowjob, baltimore
"You said a mouthful, honey!"
While not the biggest story currently in the public eye, we were drawn to today's topic because it serves as such an effective reminder of what kind of chaos we'd be experiencing on a daily basis if Hillary Clinton had successfully stolen the Presidency.

In this case, an 11-year-old girl in Baltimore who was inspired by Colin Kaepernick decided to "take the knee" during the Pledge of Allegiance to protest racism (she's white) and sexism (there are no 11-year-old female CEOs) and was told by her teacher that she had to stand. Heroically, the girl responded with tears, hysteria, a memorized recitation of the Supreme Court's "Tinker v. Des Moines" ruling, and an outreach to the local ACLU. You know, the way kids have always done.

Hillary, having nothing better to do with her time these days than encourage tiny little drama queens, tweeted "It takes courage to exercise your right to protest injustice, especially when you're 11! Keep up the good work!"

The Baltimore County Public Schools and the ACLU are now debating how best to deal with students "taking the knee" in protest, and it looks like school kids will likely be allowed - if not actively encouraged - to disrespect the Pledge from now on.

But we can't help but wonder how the school and ACLU will feel the first time a kid in an American flag t-shirt takes the knee to protest the Left's totally unfounded persecution of Trump? Or what if a kid chooses to bend a knee in protest of the illegal immigration which is changing our school systems? Or if we really want to see heads explode, let's watch what happens when a kid kneels to protest the injustice of attacks on 2nd Amendment rights?

Let us be clear: students don't lose their 1st Amendment rights when they enter a school, but that doesn't mean the school can't dictate the proper time, place, and form that expressions of political opinion should take place in order to minimize disruption and maintain appropriate discipline (which is already in short supply in too many school systems).

We'd say that we're disappointed in Hillary's encouragement of this nonsense, but in truth we're not even surprised. This is, after all, a woman who has never taken an actual stand for America...and who can't keep from falling to her knees unless her arms are supported by Secret Service agents.

Way to stay relevant, Hillary! Want more Trump? Because this is how you get more Trump. In case you missed the referendum on this sort of nonsense in '16, Americans are over it.

But go ahead and keep it up. After this sort of divisive nonsense continues to tear up what is left of the Progressive coalition in '18 & '20, it might be you and bill facing the torches and pitchforks.

All these morons, including HRC, who think disrespecting the flag, anthem, and pledge of our country is cool should go live somewhere else....whatever their age.
Speaking of disRESPECTing....so sad to lose Aretha. Loved her music.

Speaking of "reproductive mistakes", look at the next one they're grooming for the Senate:

Chelsea Clinton: Legalized Abortion Has Added $3.5 Trillion to the Economy

"It is not a disconnected fact... that American women entering the labor force from 1973 to 2009 added three and a half trillion dollars to our economy. Right?"

Wow.

So tell me this: If that's true, (and no legitimate economist I've ever heard of has ever uttered such a thing) then why do Progressives such as yourself also insist that we need to allow millions of illegal aliens into this country to boost our economy? Lame trade, if you ask me.

But why stop there? Just imagine the trillions of Deutsche Mark and Euros the German economy got ahead by by eliminating all those Jews.

Shall I keep going?

How much better off would the American economy be had Hillary chosen to do the same to you? After all, your net worth is somewhere in the 8-figures for no obvious reason other than that your last name is "Clinton". I'm pretty sure most people here could find much more productive use for that wealth than what you're using it for, which is mostly consuming oxygen and spewing CO2 along with your Ocasio-Cortez quality intellect.

There's an interesting salient point in this.

Ostensibly, the Bill of Rights is in place to place limits on what the government can do. Many of these also flow through to state governments; however, they do not limit private concerns. For instance, when I and the millions upon millions of OTHER tax slaves go to work each day, we park a lot of those rights at the door (and one of them at home) - I cannot just say what I want at work. And I cannot even have a firearm in my car parked in the parking lot!

So, before schools were a federal concern, they were predominantly private. Parochial schools are still private today. When a child walks into t a private school, their "right" to blather whatever the @#$% they want is similar to my right to do so at work. They child is constrained by the rules, and by the authority of the school's officials if they want to stay. There isn't this "free speech" issue to worry about. And, in my experience, kids coming out of private rather than public schools are better disciplined in their actions and their thoughts, and generally perform better than their public-schooled counterparts. Is there a connection? I think so, though it is confounded with the obvious issues in education quality brought about through the NEA and AFT equal outcomes equation. But it's there.

I believe schools need to become private concerns again if we want the true version of a civil society (not as the liberals do - not a society that has free healthcare, free education, and unicorns on every corner, but one in which there is less "me, me, me" and more neighborliness, charity, and a willingness to pull ones own weight; where equality is under law, and not a grab from the Santa bag.) Perhaps there'd be a whole lot less "ANTIFA" and "BLM", and pussy hatted feminazis marching the streets had this generation acting out in the streets simply had more discipline as youth?

A man can dream.

As much as I loathe (can't think of a stronger word) probably the most vile, corrupt, amoral and destructive to our society and government, public figures on recent memory, the 11 year old may have solid ground to stand on. If my hazy memory serves, on the 1940's SCOTUS, ruled Jehovah Witnesses, could not be punished for not reciting The Pledge. Now in this case, if this 11 year old wants continue this, she should be made to put down on paper her reasons, with minimal adult influence.

This country is already Balkanized, socially and politically. Way past time to get the surveyors out, mark the new boundaries, and hoist the Bonnie Blue flag.

Geoff King said...

So, because it is a public school, student's exercising their 1st Ammendment rights outweigh any school policy, eh?
Therefore, when a child brings an AR-15 to class for show and tell, that pesky gun free zone law will have to be dropped because of the 2nd Ammendment, right?

Wow. Great comments above. I will say I am much more tolerant of these nitwits since we have a great President that does not agree with these folks that want to tear this nation asunder, Cuomo for instance. On the other hand I cannot believe that all these elected on the left agree with this disparaging our flag and country. Surly there is a few honorable elected although not the loyal opposition. On HRC, keep it up and let the nation see what a nitwit and scum you are and let them also breath a sigh of relief with your landslide defeat - and there were damn good reasons for that.
I believe those elitist FBI, DOJ, AND CIA upper management support and cover for her because someone has their hooks in them for something they do not want published.
Last but not least is how happy Bill Clinton is that Chelsea the idiot is not his kid. Simple proof of this: Have you Ever read where he has visited his "grandkids"? Nope, and you never will.

Great comments above. The only thing I can add is to Chelsea (dumb as a rock) Clinton's argument regarding the boost to the economy resulting from abortions. Dear Miss Clinton, don't you think those millions of humans terminated would add significantly to the economy? Of course not, you waste of space.

Snark said...

I can't quite believe that an 11 year old would do this spontaneously. But I haven't seen any report of who her parents are, nor whom else might have put her up to this. Raising a child into such a blatantly seditious household should be considered child abuse; but not in this sjw society. I can only hope that the terminal hypocrisy that infests the socialist left will lead to their demise.

@Judi King: I also liked Aretha's music, but that's as far as my admiration goes after I found that she had offered bail for Angela Davis---a self-described "lifelong Communist." Davis, a mega-black activist, was associated with the Black Panthers, Che Guevara, Patrice Lumumba and others of their ilk.

IMO, Davis is a despicable human being, and how/why she was admitted to the faculty at UCLA (it's true!) is still a mystery to me. I predict that when this miserable woman dies, Hillary Clinton will be the first one to finance the headstone.

I well remember the trial of the Soledad Brothers, held in San Rafael, California, about thirty miles from my home. The guns used to kill a prison guard at their trial were registered to Davis; read about the entire saga on Wikipedia.

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@REM1875- Yes, we did. I have my doubts that under a Hillary presidency, the Pledge of Allegiance would even be allowed in schools.

@Fish Out of Water- This dismal old woman certainly did the 11-year-old no favor by turning her naive "protest" into a national story. But Hillary is happy to profit from anything and anyone.

@John the Econ- I agree. If Hillary wants to go out front and center to take a dump on the Pledge of Allegiance in the run up to the midterms, I say more power to her.

@Judi King- I'm sorry to see Aretha go, too. I miss the days when the sound of black Gospel was an integral part of top 40 radio.

@John the Econ- The Chelsea Clinton story is the sort of thing that just leaves me choking, trying to sputter out words of outrage. Her proposition seems to be that all of those babies needed to die so that their mothers could work. But how much was Hillary constrained by not aborting Chelsea? How many women with children contributed to that $3.5 trillion figure without having to dig little graves in the garden? And is the economy really boosted that much by women in the workplace who lack the basic brains to understand how birth control works?

You're right that this seems like an ugly, stupid rationalization for what has literally been a holocaust. Perhaps useful for those who haven't been paying attention to which political ideology really provides a comfortable home for Nazis.

@Emmentaler Limburger- I can't add a word to your comments. Very well said and I agree completely.

@Fish Out of Water- The 11-year-old may indeed have a case, and if a way can be found to accommodate such silent protests in a non-disruptive way, then I'm reluctantly okay with it. My larger problem here was Hillary's grandstanding and endorsement of the idea that our nation is racist and sexist.

@Alej- I wish you weren't right.

@Bruce Bleu- I'm so old that I can remember when the ACLU was a serious organization rather than just a PITA. Granted, it was a long time ago...

@Geoff King- You, sir, would be a deadly man in a debate. Great point!

@James Daily- Well put. And truthfully, I still think there's a greater likelihood that Chelsea is Webb Hubbell's spawn rather than Bill's. Remember his parting words to the freshly-raped Juanita Broaddrick? "Don't worry...I had the mumps as a child and I'm sterile." It was shortly after that quote became public that the Secret Service had to intervene when Hillary through a lamp at Bill in the White House.

@Section147- I agree that the school systems have done a lot of damage, and teaching kids to protest isn't going to help.

@rickn8or- You're right. Morally speaking, Hillary is a bottomless pit.

@B Martin- He certainly can't be trusted with kids if he has a cigar handy.

@TrickyRicky- Like you, I appreciate seeing "I'm With Her" and similar bumper stickers. It gives fair warning that the driver is an inattentive moron.

@Shelly- Chelsea doesn't think all those millions of kids would have added to the economy because a lot of them would have been "undesirables" in the Margaret Sanger sense. Seriously, why would a liberal worry about the "personhood" of a fetus when they don't really even see it in adults of certain races.

@Snark- I can see an 11-year-old doing this spontaneously if she's been surrounded by liberal blather, and heard unending praise for all the athletes who "take the knee." All kids parrot the actions they see around them and, Heaven help us, they're all marinating in Lefty ideology 24/7 these days.

@Alfonso Bedoya- I certainly don't agree with Aretha's decision to support Angela Davis. I'll give her a bit of leeway since those were chaotic and crazy times. Big changes in the way our nation dealt with race were desperately needed. Many, like Davis, took it way too far for their own purposes.

So I'll prefer to remember Aretha for her music rather than her politics.

Every time I see these idiots protesting I have to chuckle. The"pledge"was dreamed up by an avowed socialist preacher that was kicked out of the church by his own parishoners for his extreme views. His rich socialist mentor uncle financed him and a partner to sell American flags to schools and used the made up pledge to grease the skids.Funny how they used capitalism to further the socialist agenda. Two other fun facts...the salute(now recited with hand over heart}was with the outstretched arm towards the flag during pledge recital{aka the NAZI salute}.It was changed when Hitler came to power. Also the words"under God"was not added until sometime in the 1950s by the govt.,it used to be"one nation, indivisible"etc.

Don't care for 'gospel' as a rule, nor 'revivalist' preachers... when I was about 6 or a bit younger, MoTown Music was derided by the older kids on the block as being racially inferior, and not tolerated. I realize that holding on to that attitude is a choice, but I've looked at it and just really don't care for it.
She sure did have a set of pipes, though!
In the unending love fest for her over the past 24 hours on local radio, I learned that she was at some award show, Pavarotti was supposed to perform, but had to bail at the last minute. Could she perform instead?
Certainly! Happy to help out!
Everyone was expecting a roll of her standards, but she gave them the Puccini piece that Pavarotti was going to do - apparently she decided to branch out, and was familiar w/ Italian opera. people were blown away...

@Pete: As a (sorta) musician, I've always loved Motown, though rock was more likely to flow from whatever instrument I happened to wrap my hands around at the time. My Dad was an Opera fanatic. I went and listened to Aretha singing Puccini, and was amazed. I'd never heard hat before. It was amazing. Brought a tear to my eye - particularly since I'm pretty sure Dad would have loved it. I hate to say it, and I hope I'm wrong, but every time I hear people whooping it up that we got our guy elected and they didn't, I am uncomfortably reminded of how the pendulum swings back and forth, and how much destruction a Clinton or an Obama does when they're in office, and how in general the best our guys can do is to temporarily staunch the bleeding. The overall pattern, despite Reagan and Bush 1 and 2 slowing it down briefly, has been straight into the commode. Trump is working miracles, but how long can it last? These mid-term elections scare the hell out of me, and I don't know how long the President can withstand this unprecedented, unrelenting, vicious onslaught from every quarter that he is being subjected to.

Old C,
Honestly I think that Bush 1 and 2 did more harm than good, and Reagan, as much as I love what he did most of the time, had his screw up moments too.
Which is the funny thing about President Trump:
just when you think he's about to make the biggest mistake of his life he does a 180, just to throw everyone for a spin.
Love how he played Ninny Pelosi and Upchuck Schumer for instance.

@X- Wow, that IS low!

@Mark Matis- Well, it's a goal.

@Judi King- Her politics were of a different era, so I don't (much) hold them against her.

@Anonymous- Interesting factoids about the Pledge!

@James Daily- Bless their simple little pinheads. They took their rainbows and unicorns to an ugly place called "reality," had their bikes rammed by the bad guys, and then were stabbed to death. A compelling counter-argument to their philosophy.

@Joseph ET- In fairness, I'm not sure all (or even most?) of those lost would have ended up as taxpayers. On the other hand, out of such a vast number surely some would have changed the world in positive ways, and ALL lives have value beyond the fiscal (a point about which Chelsea and I clearly disagree).

@Pete (Detroit)- I'm not big on actual Gospel songs, but the sound of a black choir can send my spirit soaring. And I love/loved the old Motown songs. And wow - I'd never heard the "Nessun Dorma" story before. Amazing!

@Emmentaler Limburger- As I mentioned previously, I like the way that my musical tastes were formed when the Top 40 radio hits (at least in my neck of the woods) were a complete mix of rock, motown, country, and even traditional crooning. My tastes have been eclectic ever since.

@Old Cannonballs- I have the same fears. When you look at how Godawful the Lefties are when they're in power, imagine what it will be like if and when they're actively out for revenge?! I'm worried about how our world might change - perhaps permanently - after the midterms. (Gulp)

@valvenator- Trump scares the hell out of me, but if I only look at his accomplishments he's doing fine. Will that streak continue? I wonder day to day, but am ALWAYS glad we're not experiencing the reign of Queen Hillary.

@Gee M- Putin's claim seems to have been somewhat bullshitski, as we say in Russian. The amount dropped from $400 million to $400 thousand, and even that figure is somewhat shaky.

@Robert Sanders- Thanks for the additional link. I thoroughly enjoyed Franklin's performance!
