Confrontation with Naive Americans

We're going to let the visuals carry most of the load today, owing to the extraordinarily stupid nature of this whole darn story. It begins with some Catholic kids visiting Washington DC to learn how our national capital works. And boy, did they!

stilton’s place, stilton, political, humor, conservative, cartoons, jokes, hope n’ change, covington, native american, snl, stormy, cortez, wall, trump

The most credible of the many versions floating around is that a group of kids from Covington Catholic High School suffered extensive verbal abuse from protesters in Washington (including from some black protesters calling a black Covington student a "nigger" and screaming that his white friends would someday "steal your organs") then, as long as everyone else was making noise, they asked their school chaperone if they could shout out a few innocent school cheers.

Into this mess steps a tom-tom thumping Native American (and  long-term liberal activist) who marches up into the face of a MAGA-hat wearing kid who...(trigger warning: this gets pretty damn graphic!)...smiles back at the man. Oh, the humanity!

Seriously, that's all that happened. But it was plenty enough to send the news services and social media (but we repeat ourselves) into paroxysms of outrage. Theoretically, the "smirking" young Trump lover somehow dissed the Native American Drummer Boy...causing the world to go nuts.

Some social media loudmouths called for a school shooter to massacre the students at Covington Catholic High School (and indeed, the school had to be closed yesterday as police encircled the building). But there were also some milder threats...

stilton’s place, stilton, political, humor, conservative, cartoons, jokes, hope n’ change, covington, native american, snl, stormy, cortez, wall, trump

A Saturday Night Live writer offered to fellate anyone who punched the innocent Catholic kid in the face. We're pretty sure that making such an offer is an overt criminal act (maybe two or three of them), but does give us a pretty good idea of the skill set that (ahem) "writers" bring to SNL auditions, resulting in absolutely humorless shows.

And because the drum-thumping Native American claims that some kids were chanting "build the wall" (which, in hindsight, a lot of Native Americans probably wish they'd done around 1491), the news incorporated that angle into the story too...

stilton’s place, stilton, political, humor, conservative, cartoons, jokes, hope n’ change, covington, native american, snl, stormy, cortez, wall, trump

It's true! A Republican legislator from Arizona came up with the idea of charging people $20 each to unlock porn filters on their phones, and then using the money to build the wall. And frankly, it's not the worst idea that we've heard. No, that would have to be this one...

stilton’s place, stilton, political, humor, conservative, cartoons, jokes, hope n’ change, covington, native american, snl, stormy, cortez, wall, trump
See what we did there?
Wading face-first into this sticky controversy, Stormy "For Two Bucks I'll Throw in a Handi-Wipe" Daniels said that an electrified wall should be built around the Covington Catholic school to keep "disgusting punks" who believe in making America great again and the sanctity of life from interacting with decent people like lying, contract-breaking, dollar bill-grabbing, sperm bank "night deposit" sluts and their crooked sleaze-ball attorneys.

And because Stormy is still considered a Progressive feminist heroine by women whose highest aspiration is apparently to somehow become a sex object used for the sick pleasure of anyone with a sawbuck (ie, a writer for "Saturday Night Live"), her opinion would have carried a lot of weight...had the dimwitted "flavor of the month" not also had something apocalyptic to say:

stilton’s place, stilton, political, humor, conservative, cartoons, jokes, hope n’ change, covington, native american, snl, stormy, cortez, wall, trump
In the distinctive words of Ms. Dysplasia-Vortex, "Millenials and people in Gen Z and all these folks that come after us are looking up and we're, like, the world is gonna end in 12 years if don't address climate change! Your biggest issue [editor's note - she's referring to actual grown-ups], your biggest issue is how are (we) going to pay for it? - and, like, this is the war! This is our World War II! And I think younger people looking at this are more, like, how are we saying let's take it easy when the end person died from our cruel and unjust criminal justice system?!"

Okay, we're not positive her statement categorically proves that the world is coming to an end in 12 years, but it sure as hell suggests that the electoral system which put her in Congress is officially on life support.

Taken together, there's a lot to think about when connecting all of the stories above. And since those on the Left aren't particularly gifted when it comes to "thinking," we're going to helpfully boil all of this down to a simple truism:

You progressives have no chance of beating President Donald Trump in 2020 until you can demonstrate that your whole damn party isn't at least marginally more sane than he is. At the moment, that's not looking likely to happen.

Wow! Thanks for summing up what is probably one of the more bizarre weeks in our county's recent history.

Since Barrack Hussein Obama became President, followed by a real President, MAGA Donald Trump, I have watched each week go by with utter amazement. It just keeps getting more bizarre. I feel like I'm watching a real life version of the Twilight Zone.

When is Rod Serling going to come out and say,
"There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is in the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call the Twilight Zone."?

According to a recent poll conducted by AOL (do they still really exist?), nearly 3/4 of democrats would vote for Cortez for president.
That says a lot about the intelligence level on the left if they think that airheaded Bolshevic Barbie would somehow make a good POTUS.

Well, at least now the agenda and tactics of the Left are out in the open. The useful idiots will continue to vote for them whatever, but the middle ranks, who really control election results, will surely be repulsed by their antics. And of course, its always better to go with the devil you know, even if if the Orange Man is a tad unpredictable.

Reality check: the Porn Tax bill is good for a few laughs, but that jackass bill doesn't have a prayer of passing in the Arizona legislature.

Even after the reality of the Covington students interaction with the self-styled Indian elder has been exposed, the leftists are still going after them hammer & tongs. After all, some of them dared to publicly wear caps supporting the President of the Untied States and (gasp) they're Christians!

Wow, talk about being triggered! Believe we readers have a week's worth of material in one posting.

The Kids from Kentucky. Is this really a surprise what happened? We need to keep in mind, especially at public events, that the left, its enablers and running dogs in the media will use anybody and twist anything to discredit, tar, smear in order to advance their cause. And to that end. they will plant and use provocateurs such as that Native American (note though with the spotlight also turned on him now, some of his story is being discredited).

One thing theses so-called progressive, who with their politicians and media running dogs in there crusade for a progressive utopia on earth forget is history. Their ancestors in Imperial Russia were among the first to be shot once Lenin and the Bolsheviks has seized power. Modern day Lenin's useful idiots if you will.

For those who have not yet gone to the Fox News website today, there's a banner that says it all: "Being ‘woke’ means never having to apologize".

Is that what Stormy looks like partially undressed? Ugh! She's about as arousing as a Rueben's nude. She's also acting pretty ballsy for someone with I believe, a 300k judgment against them. Seems she needs to figure out a way how to pay it.

Ms. Cortez, Ms. Cortez. Back in the day, Mad Magazine would have had a field day with her. One can only hope her antics and her very bad case of hubris will end up with her a one-term Member of Congress. Its happened before, in The People's Democratic Republic of Maryland no less.

And Busty/Lefty Lucy are all blithely above all this? Really?

@Fish Out Of Water- I would say that we are reliving the 1920s in Russia or the 1960s Cultural Revolution in China. We are very, very close to the point where we all become Whisperers, afraid of denunciation for thought crimes, which are punishable by job loss, societal shunning, even death.

Welcome to the Brave New World.

He says he was a Ranger Recon. No, the Army has Rangers and Recon is Marine Corps. I could go on but it disgusts me. And, I am willing to bet that he is just another minion of soros.

And the picture of Stormy Daniels is enough to make me stop watching porn. I mean, er, if I ever watched porn in the first place. She just ain't that attractive. Fred, my dad is with you. He was bitching about that on Monday. He is a Navy Vietnam Vet so he knows about Marines and how there is no such thing as Marine Recon Ranger. Between being on the Iwo Jima & Bexar he had many, many Marines on his ships. (While on the Bexar, he also was the navigator that picked up the Apollo 13.)
Nathan He-Who-Shuns-Toothpaste Phillips has told quite a few Tall Tales.
1st is Vietnam Veteran. Nope, he couldnt be. In 1971 they were drawing down Combat Marines. They were not sending fresh faced, straight out of bootcamp kids overseas. They were keeping "hardened" Marines in for a little longer.
2nd, in 1971 he was 17! 1972 he turned 18 and didnt graduate high school till June. Which means Bootcamp end of June or July-ish. He wouldnt have gone overseas till Nov/Dec. But they were not sending newbies over.
3rd, he says he did 2 1 year tours. HOW?! See 1 & 2 above. Did he join when he was 14 or 15?
4th, Marine Recon Ranger. Nope. No such thing. Recon? Yes. Ranger? No. They are only in the Army. Besides, that is specialized training outside of Boot camp & Individual training. Either one of those, Recon & Ranger, take 6-12 months or more training. So, 1972 (18), 1973 (19) and maybe fully trained in 1974 (20)? They definitely were not sending anyone to Vietnam then, much less to do 2 1 year tours.
I do not doubt that he is a Veteran, but NOT a Vietnam Veteran. Maybe, MAYBE a Vietnam Era Veteran.
His name should be changed to Lier Lier Pants On Fire Phillips (if hes a true Native American).

Say what you will about AOC, she is absolutely the face of the Dim party right now and is driving the narrative. Nancy Pelosi's actions are being affected by her and the other freshman radicals and frankly, she is boxed into a corner now. Good. AOC is the prime example of how the left wing elevates style over substance. She is a media creation. How many votes put her in Congress, 100,000? And she's running the show. You couldn't make this stuff up if you tried.

rickn8or said...

Shelly, that's exactly why I want AOC to keep running her mouth; she's scaring the shit out of "moderate" Democrats.

It's seems to me now: The only way Democrat Party can have any hope at all of winning a national level political race in 2020 is to immediately remove Schumer & Pelosi from their high offices in U.S. Senate & House and show some concern for the USA... before they personally destroy that very vulnerable party. Trump already has them beaten.

I say we should take a lesson from the less productive hangers-on of society. Party like rock stars, smoke our weed, fornicate till our eyes cross, poop in the streets, and generally give the hell up. Might as well have some fun in the little time we have left.

Media Beclownment: If there has ever been a better example of what happens when you have a narrative-driven monolithic fake news establishment combined with the light-speed garbage-dissemination capability of social media, I am not aware of it. (Even the never-Trumpers of the formerly great National Review were suckered in seeking cheap virtue signalling points)

In any other age, this would have been absolutely nothing; an aging hippie trying to provoke a teenager waiting for a bus simply because he was wearing what many consider to be a politically incorrect cap. The teenager did absolutely nothing. Oh, yeah, he had a "smirk". What a day of age when a "smirk" is the equivalent of actually murdering people.

Again, what a wonderful time and place we live where "smirks" are now the greatest threat people have to face. Not assault, rape, or murder. Smirks. Convene a war crimes commission! The mob will take care of it.

IMHO, those kids were the only "adults" a saw in this entire scenario.

It was truly ironic that on the even of MLK Day, the entire Progressive establishment rushed to pick sides, judge and condemn based upon skin color and what someone was wearing instead of character. And then had to hit delete.

SNL Writer: There's a fine example of why I tuned out of SNL over 20 years ago. Instead of trying to be actually funny, I guess they all hang out in a room laughing about hitting people and fellating each other. And BTW, what she did was, in fact, illegal. I'm not holding my breath on any consequences for that.

Taxing Porn: Cute idea, but probably self-defeating since it looks like the taxpayer would be footing the bulk of that bill. But I have changed my mind about prohibiting government workers from viewing porn while at work. Every moment they spend pleasuring themselves in government offices is another moment where they won't be working on ways to f*** with my life.

Stormy: Perhaps she should join up with Nathan Phillips and his drum and go on tour.

The sky is falling: Occasional-Cortex thinks that unless we tame "climate change", we have only 12 years left? I can vividly remember "experts" telling me the same thing back in 1988. So basically, I've already died over two times over. ("Net Neutrality" got me another time last year) I doubt the 4th or 5th time will be any more painful.

But the upside is that if she's right, we'll all be gone before she'll be old enough to run for President. So there is that to not look forward to.

While roll our eyes (among other things) over millennials, they didn't just pop up from a vacuum: they were made that way and by whom? Sure by 'educators' is part of the picture but not all of it...

John the Econ said...

@Fish Out of Water is right. If and when these people get their great socialist wish and the economy inevitably goes all Venezuela, the ones who aren't shot will die a slow, horrible death. A collapsed economy has no slack to feed and house the otherwise useless Starbucks set; Only people with hard skills to trade will be eating.

And you're right. Occasional Cortex really is the ultimate in Mad Magazine fodder.

Rerun of the post-60s: I've considered this as well, except that today is a vastly different world economically than it was 50 years ago. When the '60s were over and done with, the hippies quickly came to the conclusion that living in willful poverty sucked and was no fun at all. Most grew up, got jobs, settled into the middle class and got on with their lives.

I'm more with @TrickyRicky. Unfortunately, today it's possible to live a nominally middle class existence without having to work 40 hours a week, or at all. This leaves millions of people with a lot of free time. Instead of using that time to otherwise improve themselves or engage in otherwise worthwhile activities, many take this luxury of unencumbered time and spend it on social media getting mad. And then they make themselves feel important and relevant by acting on that anger.

As long as these people have the luxury of engaging with little personal consequence, I fear that they will do so. After all, it's easier and more fun than actually doing a real job.

This is the curse of our societies immense and unprecedented affluence. And ironically, it may in fact the the death of us.

@Fred Ciampi, by all outward appearances, he appears to be just another professional provocateur.

@Navyvet, this is the world we get because we abandoned education almost exclusively to the Progressives. These kids know absolutely nothing of history. Very few could tell you the major players of the 20th century, what they did or when they did it. They don't know that communism killed well over an order of magnitude more people that the Nazis did. They don't even know what socialism really is. All they know is "free" and that someone else will be made to pay. They are the most ironically greedy generation ever.

On one hand, AOC is a gift because she is so galactically clueless. But on the other hand she's also dangerous, because we now have millions of people who are even more clueless than she is who think she's brilliant.

Fish Out of Water said...

Though elected by voters without their own political, historical, social context, she is the creation of the MSM and will be promoted, coddled, protected, and lionized no matter what she may say. It's almost pointless to complain about her--she will be shielded without fail--until she is finally perceived by her breathless champions to be a threat to their interests.

It seems as if that should be inevitable. All this adulation must surely go to her head (there's plenty of empty space there), and she will go on to wilder and wilder claims until she either A) Burns herself up, or B) We see a ground-swell movement to allow her to run for POTUS without regard to the those obsolete, out-of-date words in that irrelevant Old White Man's document, the Constitution.

Speaking of Stupid: Found this today:

U.N. Predicts Disaster if Global Warming Not Checked

UNITED NATIONS (AP) _ A senior U.N. environmental official says entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000. Coastal flooding and crop failures would create an exodus of ″eco- refugees,′ ′ threatening political chaos, said Noel Brown, director of the New York office of the U.N. Environment Program, or UNEP.

He said governments have a 10-year window of opportunity to solve the greenhouse effect before it goes beyond human control.

This story was from 1989. So basically, we've all been dead for 19 years and just haven't figured it out yet.
