Iran Rap

First, the headlines...

Now that Joe "There Is No Vaccine" Biden has firmly established that his administration is really Obama's third term on LSD-laced steroids, we're seeing a lot of old policy failures being reanimated as shiny new policy failures.  A particular case in point is Iran, and Biden's current outreach to eliminate Trump-era sanctions on the demonic nation, facilitate their ability to buy advanced weapons (frequently with our money), and the proposal of a bold new offer to wear double surgical masks over our eyes so we can't monitor Iran's accelerating nuclear weapons program.

So as long as Biden is recycling policy, we can damn well recycle what we said about it the first time around...

Another big f*cking deal, right Mr. Biden?

Barack Hussein Obama took to the airwaves early Tuesday morning to announce that our years of tough, hardball negotiations with Iran have finally paid off in a deal which forces the "Death to America, Death to Israel" terrorism-exporting, always-lying nation to not only pinky-swear that they will stop developing nuclear weapons, but - at the insistence of John "Swiftboat" Kerry - also cross their hearts not to cheat this time.

In return for all this impressive promising, Obama's tough deal has given the Iranians very, very little. All we have to do is remove all economic sanctions from Iran, immediately ship them tens of billions of dollars, allow them to keep feverishly spinning and enriching nuclear materials in their cyclotrons, supply them with additional and more sophisticated cyclotrons, and allow them to continue development of ballistic missiles and weapons systems.

Oh yeah, we also have agreed to let them work on their nuclear hobbies pretty much wherever they want without fear of sudden unwanted inspections, allow them to keep supporting and exporting worldwide terror and calling for the destruction of the U.S. and Israel. Finally, and most importantly,  the United States was required to set up "a really bitching public address system" in Tehran from which Martha & The Vandellas "Dancing in the Streets" is even now playing on an endless loop for the jubilant Iranian people.

Unsurprisingly, our now-former allies in Israel are less enthusiastic about the deal, with one official saying it represents "a historic surrender by the West to the axis of evil headed by Iran."

In response, Obama has assured Israel that "if you like your existence on the map, you can keep it. Period. Case closed!"

There is still at least a possibility that Congress will be able to kill the deal, although the president warns that he will veto any such move. A stance much tougher than any he took with Iran.

But then, the president and Congress aren't on the same side.

Because puppets.

Dolly's just old school polite when it comes to statues. It used to be that people would erect a statue to someone after they're dead as a tribute, not a celebration of ego.

The solution to Iran is simple, but for some reason, nobody wants to nuke the capitol, and steal their oil.

I have heard that a Trump bumper sticker protects a car from every wearing out due to high mileage.Every time a Biden-stickered car passes by,it steals several thousand miles from the Trump-stickered vehicle's odometer.

Cruzin for a Brusin: I was a Cruz supporter in 2016, and certainly would have preferred him over Trump. His is a rare personality in Congress; a true conservative with a quick intellect and wit that can beat any Progressive argument in realtime. He's one of the reasons that the media initially promoted Trump, expecting that Hillary v. Trump contest would be a landslide for Hillary versus a tougher fight against Cruz. So it's no surprise that many on the right and left already see him as a front-runner for the GOP in 2024.

Which is why the Democrats are wasting no time taking him down now long before he becomes a real threat. Since the Clinton era, I've argued that as the left can defend any abhorrent personal behavior while they'd also be willing and able to turn Mother Theresa into Hitler if the political needs required it. Judging from what I saw over the weekend, the left is already working to transfer their TDS onto Cruz.

Yeah, hopping on a plane for Mexico in the middle of the Texas power fiasco was bad optics. (What was he supposed to do? He's a senator with no power over ERCOT, and other than shoveling the snow off of buried solar panels, there wasn't much he could do about it - his mistake was not doing what Democrats do; Calling a big-dollar donor to borrow a private jet and nobody would have been the wiser)

Fortunately, 2024 is still a long way away, and I doubt last week will be our last Green New Deal preview.

Coke goes Woke: Just more of the college campusization that is infecting corporate America. Part of the scam to create a demand for the highly accredited yet totally useless "diversity" types academia has been pumping out for the last decade. Corporate America thinks it is inoculating itself against Wokeism. I don't think it will work out that way. In the meantime, we're transitioning to Pepsi.

Mars Votes: You'd think that the absentee votes postmarked "Mars" would be enough to discount them.

Dolly: An uniquely American treasure.

Cuomo: The left cheered Cuomo as long as he was useful against Trump. But Cuomo is a total ass, even by corrupt Democrat standards. Now that Trump is gone, Cuomo may have outlived his usefulness and I expect the Democrats to present an alternative soon.

Make America 2009 Again: Biden is going where even Obama dared not go with his "fundamental transformation" of America. And one of the features of the Bush-through-Obama era was constant turmoil in the Middle East, which was remarkably quiet during the Trump era. What is it with the Democrat's love of Iran? Should we be expecting new distractions in the Middle East to distract us from the real stories going on at home?

Libby Liberal: Have missed her, even though the term "Liberal" hasn't applied to liberals for over a decade now. She should now be known as "Fanny Fascist" or such.

@M. Mitchell Marmel, true, except for the addition of the insanity steroids.

@Pat Cummings, I actually had to search for what you were talking about. At least give them credit for simply not erasing everything offensive, which I am certain will be next. On second thought, never mind as I am sure that the "offensive material" flag will just be marching orders for the Wokees to demand permanent deletion.

@Mike aka Proof, no, the Progressives need the day care centers as indoctrination centers and their inhabitants for the next generation of clueless worker ants. It's the old folks who are no longer economically productive and yet are a growing drain upon state resources and are just too old and stubborn to be politically useful that need to be eliminated.

In lots of other blogs I read that Israel is getting froggy - they are talking about going it alone against Iran before Xiden can do too much more to make Iran stronger (or less cowed).
I see where they did some air strikes against Hezbollah/Syria/Iran missile and ordnance/bomb storage over the weekend. Good On Them!!

Everybody ready to hunker down now that The Greed Nude Eel has come to town? Got Electricity??

Make America 2009 Again, Redeux: Forgot to add this to the above about Biden.

Biden was supposed to be the "moderate" response to the slate of far-left socialist/communists that ran for the Democratic nomination. And yet judging from his first month in office, it's hard to discern just how he's any more conservative than any of the far-leftist alternatives that he was competing with would have been. So what happened, beyond the fact that we were lied to?

I can't remember where I first read this, (the idea did not originate with me) but here's a theory: Biden (or his handlers) know he's going to be a one-termer. He's either going to be replaced by Kamala or a Republican, due to either his inescapable incapacitation or popular revolt. So if you know you're only going to have influence for a short time, why not go big? He's going to sign off on everything that Obama could never get away with and more. He's like a fighter pilot in a doomed airplane who knows he's about to die, so he might as well steer the thing into that enemy aircraft carrier right below him. That aircraft carrier is what we used to think of as the United States.

And who knows, in a hundred years if there's anyone left to write the history of Western Civilization, his name might even show more prominently than Obama's.

@M. Mitchell Marmel- I'll probably be publishing more throwbacks from Hope n' Change now that the same old sh*t is back. Plus, I'm trying to find the right balance between staying relevant but not exposing myself to too much depressing news. So, as you say, "dammit."

@Pat Cummings- Had the Muppet story broken a bit earlier in the day, it would DEFINITELY have been my topic for today. Madness!

@Stevarooni- Dolly is one of the few people who would actually deserve a statue. An amazingly talented woman and seemingly an awfully good one, too.

@Mike aka Proof- Wait, the daycare story isn't real?! (grin)

@Jess- If there's a suggestion box outside the Oval Office, you should definitely drop that in.

@Bobo the Hobo- Yeah, Joe wants an even worse deal than Barry and Kerry managed to arrange. Heaven help us.

@millard fillmore- But if you're passed by a Bernie Sanders sticker, you suddenly find yourself sitting on the road with no car at all.

@Fish Out of Water- I'd intended to do more Libby Liberal cartoons but can't remember if I ever did. But she was definitely a warm up for Lefty Lucy.

@TrickyRicky- Forget trains, Biden made the apocalypse run on time.

@John the Econ- Cruz is clearly a target of the Left now, and it will be interesting to see how they try to depict this good man as a monster. Maybe they'll pick up on Trump's assertion that Cruz's dad was in on the Kennedy assassination?

We're definitely thinking of a Coca-Cola boycott here at home. I don't like racism, and I particularly don't like it when it's A) aimed at my family and B) backed up by social fascism.

@igor- The equation isn't complicated; if Israel loses our support (and they have) and Iran gains our support (and that's in the works), then there are only two likely scenarios for Israel to consider: waiting for Iran to wipe them off the map with nukes, or attacking first to destroy Iran's capability to wage war. Put another way, hot on the heels of President Trump being nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for historic progress in the Middle East, Biden is lighting a short fuse to war. And quite likely World War Three.

@John the Econ- I think you're right about Biden and the Dems going for broke with no real consideration of consequences in the next election. If they pull it off, no future election will matter anyway.

Shelly said...

I just read on The Liberty Daily that Biden bragged on David Letterman's show in 2007 that he got arrested at the age of 21 for breaching the Capitol and sitting in the Vice President's chair in the Senate. Of course, he's probably lying about being arrested because that's what he does when he is trying to aggrandize himself. Will the leftists consider this a direct assault on democracy too?

From they're all coming out of the woodwork Dept: In the automotive industry news feed I have is a story the Cherokee nation now demands the name 'Cherokee' be dropped from the Jeep brand.

Math is now 'racist', Coca Cola urges those who are Caucasian the be less 'white'. I can remember the 60's and somehow even during at the peak of its insanity, the insanity never came anywhere close to this.

John the Econ said...

@Shelly, I'm gonna have to see the video on that before I buy into it, but if it exists I'll enjoy seeing it played at the impeachment hearings.

As with the video where Biden literally boasts of pressuring the president of Ukraine to file the prosecutor who was going after Hunter's erstwhile meal ticket, Joe Biden simply can't help himself whenever an opportunity sound like a tough guy presents itself. So it wouldn't surprise me at all.

(BTW, that YouTube link above was "unavailable" last year before the election, but is mysteriously alive again today. Interesting, no?)

@Fish Out of Water, if Jeep folds on this, then they should rename the "Cherokee" to be the "Snowflake" to better reflect the attitude they have towards their customers.

As for math being racist, I suggest someone try this: When filing your income taxes, just scribble in some random numbers on your 1040 and send it in with a note stating that since accurate math is now a sign of "white supremacy", forcing taxpayers to comply is equally so. Let's see how well that flies.

Fish Out of Water said...

@John the Econ: By extension then, if accurate math is "racist", then wouldn't the IRS and filing be "racist" as well?

While I was living abroad, remember reading from afar about the Ebonics hysteria which like the 'God is Dead' nonsense of the sixes (again) , disappeared into the dustbin of history.

I'm still puzzled as to why the Demo_Rats want the borders open. They don't need the illegal alien vote any more; they've figured out how to steal a Presidential election without them. What else are the illegals good for?

What's the similarity between Joe Biden and Jeff Dunham's Walter? They are both mindless dummies being controlled by someone else. And, come to think of it, they could even be twins. The difference is, Jeff Dunham can actually control what Walter says.

@Stilton,
I'm from North Carolina. What is this "Coca Cola" thing you speak of?

@Fish,
Kinda ironic that Jeep was trying to show how PC they are with that idiotic Stuporbowl commercial, then along comes The Cherokee Nation.

John the Econ said...

@Fish Out of Water, enthusiasm for promoting the Ebonics nonsense faded away about a generation ago when academics discovered that the root of the dialect wasn't from Africa at all, but from the illiterates of British port cities. So instead of liberating African Americans from the awful legacy of slavery, the promotion of Ebonics as a legitimate language actually ties people more to that legacy. And they can't even blame it on Americans.

As for the IRS & Racist Math: I fully expect the IRS to grant exceptions to the consequences of enforcement based upon race. That should make things more equitable.

@JustaJeepGuy, there are still those wanting the cheap labor for their domestic help.

@Colby Muenster, have you seen this?

Barack Obama, Bruce Springsteen launch new Spotify podcast about their 'unlikely friendship'

Former President Obama and Michelle Obama's Higher Ground production company on Monday is debuting its second Spotify podcast, "Renegades: Born in the USA." The eight-episode series features conversations between Obama and Springsteen, who formed a friendship during the 2008 campaign trail, as they discuss topics from marriage and fatherhood to race and the state of the country.

Yawn.

The Cherokee Nation vs the Cherokee: I think they're making a big mistake. There's nothing insulting or patronizing about the Jeep Cherokee. My cynical guess is that this is just a shallow attempt at scoring some woke points or perhaps a shakedown of Fiat/Chrysler for some easy cash. So let's say that Fiat/Chrysler folds and discontinues use of the Cherokee name, and other corporations do the same. Let's go ahead and wipe all native American names and imagery from the commercial space. Then what? How will the image of native Americans be improved or remain in the national consciousness?

Indian casinos.

Sad that the public, the only remaining commercial image of native American culture will be limited to casinos.

Big improvement, eh?

Biden wasn't meant to govern as a more moderate choice, he was meant to be palatable to those wanting a more moderate choice.
As an empty vessel, the ones governing from behind the curtain will fill him as they see fit.
And barring actual publicly seen death, he will occupy the office for just a bit over two years.
