Violin Rhetoric

It's Mourning In America
Do you hear that shrill, high-pitched sound in the distance? It could be the world's saddest song being played on the world's smallest violin, but it's more likely the keening wail of liberals who are distraught that Kamala Harris could not snatch victory, so to speak, based solely on her race(s), genitalia, and an odd conviction that people are fascinated and inspired by long-winded stories of being raised in a middle-class family.

The pain these people are experiencing is very real, and you should definitely not be laughing over it here and here. If you must laugh, you have permission to laugh at this...

stilton’s place, stilton, political, humor, conservative, cartoons, jokes, hope n’ change, Lefty Lucy, Trump victory, media, MAGA

All (well, most) kidding aside, I hate the fact that many people I know - good and intelligent people - are suffering because they've been media-trained to believe that Trump is Hitler, Democracy is over, and that MAGA stormtroopers will soon start the pogroms on liberals, women, and minorities. All while laughing evilly. "Bwaa-ha-ha!" will ring throughout the land.

And in complete disregard of the Paris Climate Accord, the Trump administration will be polluting our dwindling supply of clean air with the black smoke cascading from the high-capacity ovens the Orange Man will be building using stolen Social Security funds.

This is pain that need not exist which is being intentionally inflicted on well-intended Americans by the media and their string-pullers. And that's not right. It's cruel and makes a mockery of "fair" elections. And I'm hoping that somehow, something can be done about it under the new administration.

Unlike those on the left, I am against any limits on Free Speech and know that "misinformation" can't be pinned down or controlled. But what we've been seeing for a long time goes beyond that, with multiple news outlets phrasing their lies and insinuations with precisely the same language. That coordinated effort is not so much a Free Speech issue as a potential RICO violation.

How to handle it? I don't know. But even liberals don't deserve the psychological tortures being inflicted on them from what they believe to be their own side.

@Stilton said, "...an odd conviction that people are fascinated and inspired by long-winded stories of being raised in a middle-class family." Well, one person was fascinated by those long-winded word salads: Kamalatoe, aka Word Salad Annie! I think she actually believes that her manner of speaking...and speaking...and speaking...while not saying anything would actually fool everyone who heard it. As someone somewhere on the Internet said, "Word salad is no longer on the menu."

I’ve been asking what the over/under is for the start date of construction of the internment camps.

Now to overturn Times v Sullivan so those libeling and slandering public figures can be sued for libel or slander without having to prove "actual malice."

Well said, Stilt. Watching the wailing and gnashing of teeth, the senseless tantrums and emotional self destruction of Harris supporters was fun for about 5 minutes - then it became sad. It was sad for all the reasons you point out.
The vitriol spewed by anyone on the loosing side is the direct result of never being told "no" by their parents and endless manipulation by a corrupt media.
The real danger is a press that abdicated it's responsibility to provide only facts to the people so that they can decide. If the press is unwilling to police itself or hold itself to their own alleged standards, then we do have problem and it's not Donald Trump.

So has Lefty Lucy been fitted for her Handmaids outfit yet? I hear that page 6 of Project 2025 requires that all women wear them whenever out of the house come January 20th.

And I'm definitely not laughing at the pain Progressives are expressing over the mediocre Kamala losing to the obviously less-mediocre Trump. Mental illness is not a laughing matter, or so I've been told.

But it is sad to see people being mindlessly left into pits of despair over the seeming inevitability of handmaids outfits, cages, censorship, and the growing list of paranoia porn the leftist media has been inventing. You'd think that the reality that we've already lived through 4 years of Trump without any of that happening would leave people a bit more calm.

Until Trump starts taking shots at the 1st, 2nd, 4th Amendments and the rest of the Bill of Rights, I won't be calling him a fascist. That can't be said of the previous administration.

And are rank-and-file Democrats going to take out their angst at their supposed party for forcing Kamala on them? After all, it's not like the ironically-named Democratic Party let anyone outside of some smoke-filled back room vote on the matter.
