Grin and Barrett

stilton’s place, stilton, political, humor, conservative, cartoons, jokes, hope n’ change, pelosi, barrett, supreme court, trump, ginsburg

President Trump has nominated Amy Coney Barrett for the vacant seat in the Supreme Court, and Liberals are apoplectic. Judge Barrett has previously been praised by Republicans and Democrats for her intelligence, integrity, and a long record of making decisions based on the Constitution rather than her personal beliefs. Democrats are saying, not inaccurately, that a new Supreme Court Justice who actually takes her oath seriously could mess up a lot of their plans for the future.

And so they want to take her down, but it's not going to be easy - Barrett is such an exceptional scholar, mother, wife, and human being that she pretty much makes the rest of us look like sinful, underachieving pond scum.

Which is why the Left is attacking her for having adopted two black children from Haiti (she also has five biological children, including a special needs son) saying, "transracial adoption is fraught with trauma and potential for harm." And they may have a point: just look at the sad case of a small black boy who was raised by privileged white people instead of his biological parents and grew up, tragically, to be Barack Obama.

TAKING DEBATE

Tuesday night will see the first Presidential Debate between Donald Trump and Joe Biden, and we can expect to see even more fireworks than Antifa throws at cops during "mostly peaceful" riots.

There are reports that Joe Biden has been "training aggressively" for the event, which made us think of this cartoon from the vault...

And while we were looking for that cartoon, we also encountered a Hope n' Change post from 2016 that has whole new layers of meaning when viewed from today's perspective. Remember VP Biden being put in charge of a counter-offensive against Russian election meddling? How about Trump suggesting a drug test for his debate opponent four years ago? There's enough fun stuff that we're sharing it here in its entirety...

JOE BYTE 'EM (Originally published 10/17/2016)

Sometimes, a news story is so ripe that we can't make up our minds about what comedic direction to take - especially if it involves Joe Biden. So here's a Monday twofer!

In case you're lucky enough not to know the convoluted tale that we're referring to, the Obama administration has accused Russia of hacking the email accounts of Hillary, her campaign manager, and Democrats in general and giving the information to Wikileaks in order to criminally influence our sacred national election by revealing the truth about how despicable everyone on the left is.

Hope n' Change isn't buying the whole "Russian plot" scenario for several reasons: it's of no obvious benefit to Putin, the theory is being advanced by congenital liars who are in full fanny-covering modeand so far zero evidence of Russian involvement has been offered. Frankly, we think this is all an orchestrated con game intended to soften up Americans for government seizure of the election process in the name of "security."

But that hasn't stopped Joe Biden (apparently taking time off from his extra-special presidential "moonshot" assignment to cure cancer) from declaring that the U.S. is about to engage in a full-blown cyber attack on Russia. Although the odds of our pulling off a sneak cyber attack just got a helluva lot worse thanks to the motor-mouthed veep.

The idea of Old Blank Joe being anywhere near cyber warfare is terrifying - but no more so than the latest brainstorm from Donald Trump...

Grab 'em by the pissy.

On Saturday, Trump said "(Hillary and I) should take a drug test prior (to the final debate), because I don't know what's going on with her. At the beginning of her last debate she was all pumped up at the beginning and at the end she was like, 'Oh, take me down.' "

Trust us, Donald - that describes a lot of us who saw that debate.

Nancy's comment re: Barrett and Kavanaugh: Sorry, Stilt, way too soon! Maybe after the fourth or fifth Trump SCOTUS nomination...

But thanks for recycling the Hope 'n Change offerings! It's eerie how applicable the humor is still!

(helpless laughter) No way I can top that. Bravissimo! :D

Isn't San Fran Nan a member of the Catholic faith ? I find her ravings rather amusing and comical. Just what the country needs right now in our hour of distress... levity and humor from St. Nancy. Speaking of distress, how 'bout the video of Ms. P. doing a presser with her cohorts gathered around her podium, when, suddenly Jerry "Nads" Nadler start exiting stage right while doing the flat-footed shuffle, trying not to let the deuce roll down his pant leg. I guess listening to SFN is enough to cause irritable bowel syndrome in any strong hearted congressman. Priceless.........

Sadly, no dirty trick, no stooping to yet to be witnessed lowness by the democratic party surprises anymore.

The ends justifies the means..

Then there's Chucky Schumer's diatribe: It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing! Come to think of it, that also sums up a typical Biden presser.

I thought of watching the debate, but thought longer, and decided Joe won't be there. He'll contract the Covid, and the Democrats will want to hold off the election for a year, while Nancy rules.

It's probably about the best plan they can come up with, although letting him debate, say he had a stroke, wanting to put off the election for a year, and letting Nancy rule will probably be a better plan.

Regardless, I don't plan on watching the debate. It's after my bed time.

We all have priorities. Since we've already voted (securely & safely, I think) and Tuesday is 1$ taco night in town; I'm going to have to miss the big, big, really big farce. Catch me up on Wednesday or Friday?

PS: I do hope to see video later where Trump switches the PPE on him; and Joe comes out with a MAGA mask, then has difficulty taking it off.

I am living for that debate; fingers crossed it goes as scheduled but I doubt that it will.

I know many white people who have adopted non-white children, and some of them are Progressives. I wonder how they now feel having just discovered what an awful thing they've done.

And you'd assume that such an accomplished professional and legal scholar such as Barrett wouldn't wish to besmirch their reputation and standing by engaging in such a selfless act if it was the least bit sketchy. Well, I guess if you weren't a Progressive, anyway. Projection, I guess.

And you are right, Stilton. There are not a lot of people in the public eye that make me feel like an underachiever in life, but Judge Barrett might be one of them.

And the Democrats will work diligently to destroy her anyway. This illustrates the brilliance in the Barrett pick. After the Kavanaugh ****show the Democrats put on last year, everyone knew the kind of treatment that awaited the next Republican nominee. (Actually, the trajectory for the treatment of GOP nominees was established 33 years ago by Ted Kennedy with the nomination of the impeccably qualified Robert Bork, possibly the greatest Supreme Court Justice we never had) I can only hope that such efforts cost the Democrats even more votes in November. If they can baselessly destroy Barrett, who can't/won't they destroy?

Speaking of the Russians: While the Democrats were spending countless millions of taxpayer dollars investigating Trump's supposed Russian collusion, they somehow managed to remain ignorant of the millions of dollars being sent to Hunter Biden for no obvious reason.

No doubt that Trump would bring that up at tomorrow night's debate, assuming that it even happens. I still expect Biden's handlers to call a "lid" on all public appearances Tuesday after Joe's bedtime at 11am.

That is a classic line Stilton. And speaking of classic, I love the Hope N Change redux. With the authoritarian left, the more things change the more they stay the same...or get worse.

The question nobody asked: "Why would Putin work to elect Donald Trump over Hillary Clinton, when he has her in his hip pocket.

Finally, the phrases "Nadler Moment" and "He Nadlered himself" should be brought in common use. I know I intend to used those phrases at every opportunity.

Igor, if you watch the debate after tooth extractions, you will forget all about the tooth pain. The pain of watching biden will e greater that tooth pain.

Read in the WSJ recently that Joe Biden was refused Holy Communion when he went to Catholic Mass. He chose the line for the side where the assistant was distributing the host. The Priest simply changed over to that side as Biden approached, and declined to offer him communion, saying that no public official who supported abortion was in a sufficient state of grace to receive it.

I'm sure Pelosi, et al, who are supposed practicing Catholics, are more careful to attend Mass where the priests are less ballsy!

Nadler is so full of it I'm surprised he can hold it in for 5 minutes.
I'm betting if he was given the per-colonoscopy treatment
he'd make Twiggy look fat.

rickn8or said...

Valvenator, I'm going to have to disagree with you; if he got the colonoscopy prep and then died, the could bury him in a matchbox.

rickn8or - Thanks for bringing up that half shaved nutsack looking dick w/ ears. "Ungrateful" does not BEGIN to cover it.

Stilt, Nancy was funny, but the vintage classics totally were!
