Suffering Suckers-tash!

stilton’s place, stilton, political, humor, conservative, cartoons, jokes, hope n’ change, trump, cemetery, losers, suckers, troops, biden, benghazi, VA
The nation has again been rocked by very serious allegations against Donald Trump, leveled by unidentified sources citing other unidentified sources, all of whom are insisting on anonymity based on the fact that the First Amendment guarantees protection to The Atlantic Monthly's imaginary friends.

The accusation is that on various occasions, President Trump referred to dead soldiers as "losers" and "suckers." Well, we don't care.

Oh, we'd care - some - if it were true. But who knows anymore what's true and what's just more baldfaced lying? Why should we care what unnamed (and possibly nonexistent) "sources" with zero credibility are alleged to have said? How can we ever know with certainty what Donald Trump did or didn't say, or what his words might have meant?

Which is why the only reasonable thing to do is ignore words and look at deeds. Donald Trump has rebuilt the strength of the military after it was pillaged by the Obama-Biden administration. Donald Trump has seen to it that our troops have received pay raises. Trump visits the troops, greets injured soldiers at their hospital beds, and comforts families. And President Trump has made real improvements to the VA hospital system which was nightmarishly bad under Obama-Biden...

Oh sure, Obama and Biden said the right things about our troops - but without a scintilla of sincerity. Does the media really want to talk about how an American president treated our fallen...?

A quick refresher on the cartoon above: Major General Harold Greene was the highest ranking soldier killed in Afghanistan, but Barack Obama showed himself to be also highly rank when he decided to go golfing instead of attending the funeral.

Were our fallen soldiers being properly honored when the Obama-Biden administration swapped the traitorous Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl for five Taliban terrorists who could resume killing our troops? Or when Bergdahl, a deserter, was lauded by the Obama-Biden administration as exemplifying the best of our troops...?

And then there's Benghazi. Where Obama and Biden left our people to die, denying them aid, then later enjoyed a photo-op by their flag-draped coffins before lying to the grieving families that they would catch the filmmaker who was to blame for the attack.

But to be fair, Joe Biden has been known to say good things about American troops. For instance, soon after the successful mission to kill Osama bin Laden, Biden gushed and gushed about Seal Team Six. After which, the bad guys knew who to kill - and did, three months later. Biden was personally named in a $200 million lawsuit filed by the families of the fallen for his role in exposing the identity of the military unit.

We could go on, almost endlessly, but hopefully our point is made. Even if Trump said the things he's accused of (and let's face it, Trump could conceivably say anything at any time), his deeds have shown him to be a strong supporter of our military and our people in uniform. And that's the only thing that should count when Americans cast their votes.

FROM THE VAULT: PAINFUL LABOR

BREAKING COVID-19 NEWS, PLEASE READ (HONEST!)

You're sick of hearing about Covid-19 and we're sick of writing about it. We're also sick of all the nonsense and politicization associated with the pandemic. But there's some good news - potentially very good news - and we want to get it out there.

You can get the whole story by watching this video, but here's the bottom line: Vitamin D3 may be the most effective drug for the treatment of Covid-19, and making sure you're not Vitamin D deficient may be the cheapest, easiest, and most powerful means of treating the disease and fighting its effects.

Briefly, a legit study was run on 75 patients admitted to a hospital for Covid-19. All received the same treatment with one exception: 50 patients got a Vitamin D supplement and 25 didn't. Only 2% of the Vitamin D group had their cases worsen to the point they needed ICU treatment. The number was 50% for those who didn't get Vitamin D. Everyone in the Vitamin D group recovered, but two people in the non-Vitamin D group died. Other institutions have done similar studies and gotten similar results.

This is actual science we're talking here (again, check out the video). And note that it takes several days for a Vitamin D3 supplement to be processed by your liver, so the time to start taking a daily supplement is before you get sick. Personally, this is the brand we're taking and it's stupid-cheap. Less than 2¢ a day to dramatically better your odds (and those of your loved ones).

By all means consult with your doctor to make sure you won't have any problems. And for legal reasons we should probably officially state that we're not giving medical advice, that we're not doctors, that we're not even the brightest bulbs on the Christmas tree, and we're not always cold sober while writing this blog.

But 2¢ a day is, almost unimaginably, even less than what we spend on Clan Macgregor.

Well, that's a strange thing to find out. It just so happens that I have been taking D3 for the last 4 years, ever since my VA primary care physician told me I should. And I haven't died from the 'rona! Was my PCP prescient or what?

Nutcracker said...

Stilton, I finally saw a Clan MacGregor bottle in our local state liquor store. It brought back memories of a priest I knew. He drank Clan all the time. I kept my distance. Anyway I wish I could say I will have one for you but I drink Rye and only Rye. Over the years as my consumption has fallen to a few drinks a year, I buy some kick butt whiskey that’s as smooth as a babies ear lobe.

Jack said...

Stilt,

I would like to see you more frequently use the term, "President Trump." The Democrats frequently refer to "President Obama" and that use demonstrates respect (even if the man is not respectable.

President Trump, not "Trump" where appropriate.

Fritzchen said...

I expect that the next issue of "The Atlantic" will reveal that Trump drinks the blood of young Black males to keep himself alive!

Fish Out of Water said...

The Atlantic 'story' does not appear as the parlance goes, to have 'legs' and appears to be fading away. I'd like to discover who the 'anonymous source" is and have him/her pilloried for it.

But more to the point, this latest shows there is no lie Trump's opposition( and I include the Never Trumpers) will stoop to or believe the uninformed/the gullible will swallow as truth. I believe they know they are fighting a losing battle now realize they have nothing left except kamikaze-like attacks.

Like @Jeep, I've been taking D3 regularly for years. Also like Jeep, no sign (so far) of the Wuhan Red Death. Coincidence? I think not.

And the true "suckers" and "losers" in this country have (D) after their names.

Laboring on Labor day is the standard way to celebrate ............

Emmentaler Limburger said...

So now there’ll be a shortage of D3, which I’ve been taking daily for about 10 years ever since the doc saw something wonky in my liver enzyme numbers. Like the zinc shortage early on when “real science” said THAT was the key.

COVID-19’s fabled lethality is a political hoax foisted on us by power-hungry, constitution-busting globalists with the full throated support of the media. As you stated, Stilton, we don’t even know what is true anymore - including ANY data regarding this majestic power-grab from ANYWHERE in the world.

Alfonso Bedoya said...

I suggest that Clan MacGregor be produced with D3 added to the mixture. The CDC could tout its therapeutic value, and COVID would be a thing of the past.

Murphy(AZ) said...

Like Emmwntaler, above, I've been on D3 for a few years now, because I had a doctor who saw basically the same enzyme imbalance and decided to right it naturally instead of with pharmaceuticals. Does it also work for Covid? Who knows? Does duck toenails?

Zinc every day. D3 every day. Wear a mask everyday. Stay the hell away from folks who don't. You'll be fine!

TrickyRicky said...

Did any previous administration have the utter disdain for our military that the Obama/Biden administration showed? On almost a daily basis? Has any administration since Reagan supported our troops like the Trump administration?

QED

Drew458 said...

That really is a great price on D3, far less than half the price per pill compared to the low cost NOW brand bottle of 250 I got from Amazon.

Remember to take your C, zinc, magnesium daily along with a multi. A K3 every other day. And get yourself a bag of Brazil nuts and eat one a day. They're loaded with selenium, which is also necessary for immune system health. I won't say anything about cuercitin or making boiled grapefruit rind tea. But neither one seems to hurt when done properly.

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@JustaJeepGuy- Your PCP may have been prescient, or just aware that it's important to have good levels of Vitamin D and people who spend most of their times indoors frequently have a deficit. In either case, I'm glad you're taking it!

@Nutcracker- I'm ashamed to admit that I've never tried Rye, so I definitely should. I've also never sucked a baby's ear lobe, but I'll leave that to Joe Biden.

@Jack- Point taken, and I'll try to be conscious of using President Trump more often. I'll note that I deliberately change things up between "Trump," "Donald Trump," "President Trump," and "the President" so that no given paragraph gets too redundant. Also, if you can find a single instance - in 12 years - in which I capitalized "president" before Obama's name, let me know...and I'll fix it. (grin)

@Fritzchen- The Atlantic is saying of their story "there's more where that comes from." Meaning they must have assholes the size of the Carlsbad Caverns.

@Fish Out of Water- I expect more, and more onerous, lies to be propagated as the election nears. Which again underscores the need to ignore words and focus on deeds (note to media: "alleged" deeds don't count).

@M. Mitchell Marmel- My doctor got me on D3 some years ago. Sadly, he's no longer with us - but at least it wasn't a vitamin deficiency that did him in.

@REM1875- You're right! Here I am, laboring away at my imaginary job on a federal holiday! I deserve reparations, but I'm too lazy to go looting.

@Emmentaler Limburger- Actually, it appears that zinc does have a positive effect, so I'm still taking it. And let me make it clear that in the study on Vitamin D, both groups of patients were receiving hydroxychloroquine, azithromycin, zinc and other medications - any or all of which may have been beneficial (per other studies). So there may not be a "magic bullet" for Covid, but rather a "magic arsenal." As far as the lethality of the virus, it's definitely very bad news for a lot of people (albeit a minority of people). And as a minority of one, I sure as hell don't want it!

@Alfonso Bedoya- Brilliant! Hopefully the boys in the Clan MacGregor test labs are reading this post!

@Murphy(AZ)- Good advice on the Zinc, D3, and masks. I'm taking a laundry list of other "just in case" things too, just to keep my immune system humming.

Snark said...

I'd like to see even ONE dhimicrat endure for one minute the abuse that President Trump gets daily and has for the past three years. With any freedom comes responsibility. The Lamestream media has ignored theirs.

I, too support and take D-3. There are two different formulations, the one noted does not specify which it is. Along with Vitamin D, Calcium is also required. For those of us of seniority, Vitamin K-2 is also recommended to make sure the calcium is used properly and not accumulating in the arteries. Nope, not a DR. Just a lot of research after contracting a bunch of nasty co-infections from a tick bite. Which is why I also take hydroxychloroquine and zinc daily as well.

Some doubters say that supplements are a waste and only produce expensive urine. Maybe. But since I get $60 per litre I think it is worth it! ;-)

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@TrickyRicky- Seriously, for Biden to act like our troops were respected under Obama makes me sputter with rage.

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@Snark- Wait, YOU'RE the guy that's been pissing Clan MacGregor?! Seriously, I'll look into the other medical points you've mentioned. I knew that Vitamin D helps when taking Calcium, but didn't know it also worked the other way around. And I thought K2 was a dangerous mountain to climb rather than a vitamin, so obviously I need to learn more about that too!

All, at the beginning of the summer I had pneumonia. ER doctors insisted on testing me for COVID-19 which naturally came back positive two days later. Not one doctor (RE or PCP) spoke to me directly about medications for the virus. They ALL gave me medication and advice about pneumonia.

My PCP told me to take double doses of zinc, b, d3, c, and over 50 male supplements but to not worry about anything except the pneumonia.

You heard it from me first the last time we'll hear about COVID-19 is November 5th.

Fish Out of Water said...

@Stilton: Alas the word 'alleged ' has lost its meaning and significance to the sheeple, the gullible and others who have 'resisted ' since 2016.

Am reading a good book, 'The Twilight of the Gods, and in it is a recounting of the Fala flap during the 1944 election, in which, for those who do not know, Republicans and their media allies accused Roosevelt of diverting military assets to rescue his dog Fala from the Aleutians. All false and it backfired badly on the Republicans.

I too do not doubt there'll be more in the offing, but also realize such attacks are made by those who have a losing hand, and deep inside, know it.

My anonymous source told me Biden, and Pelosi, have been comatose for years. Everything we see on television of them is computer generated. That, and Obama played golf with Putin, Michelle had a sex change, Schiff was kidnapped by aliens (which explains a lot), Waters owns slaves in the Middle East, AOC mixed spit in her drinks, while bartending, CNN is broadcast from Communist China, the Weather Channel meteorologists bought their degrees on the internet, and Oprah now weighs 600 pounds. Of course, this is probably all rumors, except maybe the one about Oprah.

I that the golf picture was Moochelle with his hair up under a MAGA hat.

Thought, not "that".

Shelly said...

The problem with the Atlantic "story," sourced anonymously, is that several people who were actually there when the president supposedly said it, have refuted it absolutely. This includes John Bolton, a noted Trump hater who did not mention one whiff of this story in his otherwise bash Trump book. That alone is enough for me not to believe it.

Shelly said...

Additionally, I heard explanations from the military that it indeed was too dangerous to take the helicopter in the bad weather and the reason they didn't drive to the cemetery was because they could not secure the route at a moment's notice. The president's life was not worth risking in either scenario.

Because I was mostly working nights I’ve been taking Vitamin D3 for years. Still taking it now because I’m mostly indoors because of medical issues. Our bodies produce Vitamin D3 with exposure to sunlight. Not enough sun, take supplements.
I have a nurse that checks on me weekly, after she walks through a doctor’s office, the hospital and three or four homes of other patients. When here, she wears her mask that looks like a chain link fence to a virus, and wears gloves. She wipes down the part of the table where she puts her notes and equipment. She does NOTHING about the virus or bacteria that she tracks in on her shoes, clothing or her hair. But it’s a nice show.
With the Covid-19 we can go to Walmart, Home Depot, a Liquor store, but not to church. We can go to the beach, but stay off the dry sand. We can be in a group of 10 people, but not 11 people. We can attend a protest or a riot, but not a political rally or a motorcycle rally. If one dies of a heart attack or car accident or anything and test positive for exposure, it’s called a Covid-19 death.
We’ve gone from “flatten the curve” to “OMG there’s still new exposures.” New cases will continue until nearly everyone is exposed. There is a 99.8 % recovery rate.
Kind of makes me feel there’s a con game going on here.

Doctor Deadhead said...

The vitamin D is true! We have already started using it in the Atlanta Covid surge Hospital

mamafrog said...

Well, glad to know I've been taking vitamin D for an even better reason over the years! After living in Washington State (you know, cloudy and rainy much of the year) for almost 20 years I began taking it to help with fatigue. It worked well and was cheap, so now I'm doubly happy. I live in Oklahoma now (ugh, sunshine) so I don't go out enough to matter, and I cover up a lot to avoid skin damage. Now if it would just help with everything else... There are times when I think a good dose of Prozac in municipal water supplies might be a good idea some days.

John the Econ said...

So does the left now hate and/or dismiss John Bolton again?

John Bolton says he didn't hear Trump insult fallen soldiers in France

The only thing I haven't been sick of lately has been the Wuhan Flu.

Unclezip said...

Years ago (decades) my GP took a look at me and had me tested for D. He said I looked like a dead man walking. Turned out that living half my life in an Oregon cubicle has its downsides. He put me on 10,000 units of D3 a day. The results were wonderful, to say the least. Yes, it does take days to weeks for your system to normalize, but you will feel the difference.

REM1875 said...

Well Stilton when they burn down Plano, Highland Park or South Lake I might just mosey over for my fair share of the reparations ..........till then I figure dollar general and family dollar just isn't worth me getting off the couch for my fair share .......

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@Redleger- Sorry for your illness but glad you're still with us. And I initially misunderstood your taking "over 50 male supplements" - I thought "viagra, levitra, cialis..and 47 more?!" Then I realized you meant supplements for men "over-50."

@Fish Out of Water- Sounds like an interesting book! And yes, I expect staggering, jaw-dropping lies to still be forthcoming. It's a long, long way to November.

@udaman- Not being a golfer (on any course without a windmill) I don't know if you're kidding or not...

@M. Mitchell Marmel- And Barry's scorecard is covered with Marx.

@Anonymous- Somehow I haven't seen that photo yet. I've been away from the computer too long!

@Jess- As they say at KFC, there's a colonel of truth to every rumor!

@American Cowboy- We need a picture at the ball-washer to be sure...

@Shelly- Here's another easy rule for weighing such things: I don't know if the accusations are lies, but I DO know that the people making the accusations are liars. Once their credibility is gone, I don't give a rat's ass what they have to say.

@Joseph ET- I'm perfectly able to believe that aspects of Covid-19 are indeed serious AND that there are multiple con games going on.

@Doctor Deadhead- Wow, thanks for the input! Hope all goes well there at the hospital!

@mamafrog- Vitamin D has always been a good idea for most people. Now it's a great idea for most people. And regarding putting Prozac in the water, the idea is tempting. Though it would be overkill in my case - I've been on it for years!

@John the Econ- The Left doesn't give a damn about truth, they only care that the message they WANT to get out is getting out.

@Unclezip- Glad to hear that you had a good doctor and a good result! You're right that our bodies weren't designed for cubicle living.

@REM1875- Yeah, what's the point of looting the Dollar Store, filling your arms with "reparations," and then finding out you only got $11 worth of crap?

Carl Stevenson said...

You can’t believe anything they (Leftists) say. There is absolutely no reason to consider the possibility that they might be telling the truth. The real question is “why are they lying this time”.

Carl Stevenson said...

There are numerous very credible medical studies that show that masks don’t do diddly and can make you sick.

Carl Stevenson said...

https://c19study.com
The (few) negative studies were DESIGNED from the beginning and funded by pharma to produce negative results. Denying treatment until the disease had progressed to the point where the patients had one foot in the grave. Toxic overdoses well beyond the drug’s established safety profile, which has been known for decades, and other trickery to produce the desired negative result - at the cost of lives.
Those responsible for these fraudulent, contrived studies should be convicted of murder and crimes against humanity. And, they did it because they were paid by pharma to do it, so pharma executives should be prosecuted and punished along with them.
Fauci should be hanged, along with Gates and many others, for crimes against humanity. Fauci is a pharma/vaccine shill with ties to Gates and huge conflicts of interest. Fauci and others are conspiring to hide and stifle the use of cheap, effective treatments to benefit their pharma/vaccine benefactors and their own personal gain. Fauci and the others are directly responsible for tens of thousands of deaths.

Hydroxychloroquine has been used for decades to prevent and treat malaria, and is also used to treat rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. It’s safety and potential side effects are VERY well known, so NO safety testing trials are needed.
It’s shown considerable promise in treating CV in the trials to date, and Fauci KNEW this from the outset, because he funded the study in 2005 that proved it was effective against SARS coronavirus, a close cousin of this virus that attacks the body in the same ways. (This one is just more infectious, because Fauci ALSO funded the experiments at U of NC and the Wuhan lab that were designed to CREATE a more virulent strain of SARS corona virus, despite multiple warnings that such experiments were too dangerous and shouldn’t be done. )

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@Carl Stevenson- I agree with you 100% on Leftists and the studies designed to hide the benefits of HCQ. I hope someday the truth will come out (and justice served) for the thoroughly corrupt way in which this was handled. And yeah, I want Fauci to answer for funding the "gain of function" research which almost certainly CREATED the damn virus.

We'll have to agree to disagree, with respect, on the issue of masks. I believe that most masks help protect others and, hopefully, their masks help protect you.

@Fish Out of Water- You know, Hell would make a great sweat shop!

mamafrog said...

@Stilton Jarlsberg I totally hate masks, like I said breathing problems, etc. My sister recently gave me a face shield she picked up at a local store and it's at least acceptable. I can breathe and see everything with glasses on so I definitely wear it now. I've had no problems at stores with it at least. It's still hot and uncomfortable but I can comply with the rules.

Stilton Jarlsberg said...

@mamafrog- It's completely understandable that you wouldn't like masks if you have breathing problems. I'm glad you're able to wear a face shield. Bonus: to bring a little humor to situations, when you're wearing the face shield ask people if they need any welding done! And if they don't laugh, well...cough on them!

@Stilton Jarlsberg The looks I get are comedy enough, so many confused people when they realize I have that on. Their little brains can't process... I have one that is hooked to eyeglass-like frames, not the stupid headband kind. And I cheerfully tell people where I got it, too!!
