Kabulshit

stilton’s place, stilton, political, humor, conservative, cartoons, jokes, hope n’ change, biden, Afghanistan, Kabul, failure, loss, defeat, surrender, liar, traitor

Joe Biden took to the microphones yesterday to announce to the American public that the demonstrably disastrous pullout from Afghanistan was really a whiz-bang success of historic proportions! Everything went perfectly smoothly and according to plan, with every single goal being met. Seriously, this is the approach he decided to take (along with barking forcefully because someone told him to) and I just couldn't watch the whole speech. Especially knowing how successful "The Big Lie" can be.

Because if Joe Biden's rush for the exits was a "success," what in blithering blue Hell does a "failure" look like? Jihad Joe just gifted the Taliban with $85 billion in state-of-the-art weaponry and munitions, making them one of the best-equipped armies in the world. And that same world watched as Biden showed that America's promises no longer mean anything and we can't be trusted as allies. Moreover, hundreds of Americans and thousands of our military's Afghani partners were simply left behind despite being promised, repeatedly and recently by Biden himself, that we wouldn't pull out until he'd personally rescued each and every one of them.

Not that these unlucky wretches will be suffering long: Joe's crack team gave the Taliban the names of all of the Americans and anti-Taliban allies left behind, seemingly not caring that this would quickly become a "kill list."

There's a lot more to be said, but I don't think I can continue without breaking into an Internet-melting stream of obscenities about Biden, his handlers and unindicted co-conspirators, the media, and every blankety-blank moron who cast a vote for this blood-drenched buffoon of a Marxist president.

So instead, I'm presenting this cartoon and commentary about Afghanistan (and Biden) from the vault, to show - sadly - how very little has changed in the past decade.,,

FROM THE VAULT (June 24, 2011)

stilton’s place, stilton, political, humor, conservative, cartoons, jokes, hope n’ change, biden, Afghanistan, pullout, defeat, surrender, failure, asshole, dementia, Taliban

Today's cartoon isn't subtle...but neither is war. You fight or run. You win or lose. You tell the truth or you lie like a rug. Which brings us to Barack Hussein Obama, the commander-in-chief of the United States military...God help us all.

After recently overruling his top Whitehouse lawyers on the definition of "war" and "hostilities" in Libya (and giving the finger to Congress), Mr. Obama is now overruling his top generals and withdrawing troops from Afghanistan not when it's militarily wise, but when it will do the most good for his reelection campaign.  And it was important to announce the actual withdrawal dates right now to give our enemies time to plan for their big victory parties.

The president and his trusty teleprompter explained all of this to the American people in flowery language that would have seemed more appropriate coming from a Poet Laureate than a president. A drunken Poet Laureate.

"The tide of war is receding," quoth surfing aficionado Obama, indicating that he thinks military success is likely based on the gravitational pull of the moon. "Even as there will be dark days ahead in Afghanistan, the light of a secure peace can be seen in the distance," he continued over a background of soothing new-age harp music.

And Obama loves using those light/dark, future/past rhetorical juxtapositions when he speaks, because they sound great but when you put them together they mean absolutely nothing; things will be bad and things will be good? Wow, thanks for the insights, genius.

And just where is Obama getting the military advice to take this action and likely lose a war? Not from General David Petraeus, but from his reelection campaign planners and Joe Biden, who hasn't been correct on a single foreign policy matter in his entire inexplicable career.

Finally, Barack Obama is basically giving Afghanistan to the Taliban because, in his words, "it is time to focus on nation-building at home." Funny, we thought that a pretty good nation had already been built here... but it's obvious that this despicable little political worm of a man is intent on building something else. -

Re captions and headings, Stilt is a friggin' genius! "LOL" and even "ROTFLMAO" hardly cover it.

Re Fiden's idea of success, maybe he's right -- if you just ask yourself "success FOR WHOM?". Seriously, if he were DELIBERATELY trying to muck things up for America, what would he do differently?

Did anyone see the video of that poor fellow being hung from one of our helicopters that Buck Fiden gave them. They sure have a flare for the theatrical.

I watched the majority of the speech because, well … because I’m a masochist, I reckon. 46* blathered on about being handed this war as if he were some Ben and Jerry’s franchisee who had nothing to do with its execution during the Obama years [insert Trump bashing here]. He then went on to tell us how much money this war cost taxpayers; funny, I heard no mention of the DoD Starter Pack we left behind.

He’s not shy about recounting the number of dead troops involved in this conflict, including the most recent “13 heroes” whom he conveniently used to segue into dragging out dead Beau yet again. Look, I get it, no one should ever have to bury their child but he needs to stop cutting the line to shove the memory of his dead son when our flags are still at half-mast for the most recent casualties caused by his incompetence.

All in all, I’d rate this speech “You can’t dance to it (unless you are a member of the taliban) but it has a great beat” … which I would like to use to beat 46* into leaving the White House. Drizzle. drazzle, druzzle drone, time for this one to go home. He’s been there long enough to get his portrait and Jilly gets her retirement check, too. For the love of all that’s holy, Congress needs to impeach this catastrophe or invoke the 25th amendment.

@MMM - what's the damn holdup? The longer this goes on, the more dire the outcome looks. Let's get this party started!

Don't be so quick to blame Biden for this mess - I'm pretty sure that senile old man isn't trusted to make any decisions more critical than what flavor of pudding to have for his bedtime snack. No, after a year or more of Trump "planning" on withdrawing from Afghanistan and this is what we've got, it should be obvious that there were never any plans being made to withdraw from Afghanistan. The Swamp was making tens of billions of dollars, hundreds of billions of dollars, off this war and they had no intention of ending the gravy train. They were just going to wait out Trump and his ridiculous plans to end the war, yet the war got ended just the same. If you think it was Biden and his steely resolve that ended the war, or his cabinet - the most pathetic collection of half-wits ever assembled - that ended it, you're out of your mind. No, the order to end the war was an order coming from Biden's boss or bosses but Biden can't actually say that he has no idea what he's doing, he's just doing what he's told. But we should know better.

There's a line from one of the Austin Powers movies, modified, which I believe is apt to describe the character of the village idiot others elected to lead this country, simply because the Orange Man was 'bad".

'Cause you're not quite presidential enough. You're a semi-president, you're a quasi-president, you're the margarine president, you're the diet Coke president, just one calorie, not presidential enough.'

You can try to blame Trump, if that eases your guilt over electing the town fool to president, but that is for you alone. Biden has scraped everything he could of Trump's efforts to save our nation; in what world do you believe that Joe and his masters would use any plan made by Trump or his cabinet. The military is not a pawn in his personal wealth scam. Term limits are way past due; rules on non-natural citizens serving in our government needs to be reviewed and rules set to keep this nation "We the people!" so let's not allow the democrats and their international friends run America.

Obama continues to hasten the destruction of our country, but now the process is on steroids. How far and how fast we become unglued is now the only question.

Trying to blame Trump for the decisions made by Moron Joe and his handlers stretches the truth beyond any limits. CNN, MSMBC and the MSM have put of this line to help absolve Joe and the democraps. The Biden Administration scraped Trump's withdrawal plan just like they have scraped every Trump initiative.

Biden and his handlers were the one's with no plans. Anyone believing different had better get his head out of that dark an smelly place where they have it stuck

If the goal was to equip terrorists with billions in state-of-the-art combat gear and to empower China and Russia, then mission accomplished!

Or if the goal was to again prove that it's now more dangerous to be America's friend than America's enemy, then mission accomplished!

Did you also catch the "Corn Pop" tough-guy Biden during his speech yesterday? If the Taliban misbehaves, he'll retaliate. Really! Probably with a strongly-worded letter.

Some are trying to spin the notion that this is an "evolved" Taliban. You know, a Taliban that will be sensitive to human rights. (As long as the humans involved aren't infidels, women, Jews, gays, non-traditionally-gendered, etc)

Heck, this new Taliban is even serious about "climate change". That should make Progressives happy as the Taliban successfully reduces Afghanistan's carbon footprint by sending Afghani's even further back into the stone age.

But what sticks with me is the idea of desperate mothers throwing their infants over razor-wire fences in remote hopes that maybe their babies that they'll never see again will find their way to a better life in America than they know what is in store for them in Afghanistan.

Consider responding with that the next time you see some ignoramus SJW drone on about what an awful, oppressive country America is.

Anybody care to guess what shiny object the Dims will come up with to distract the LoFo's from this giant fustercluck? Or will they skip right to ousting Joe and installing Harris?

And, will any higher-ups get fired over this? Doubtful, now that Joe has declared the operation a resounding success. The Fiden administration can't really fire anybody for this; it would be like admitting something went wrong.

Thanks for posting, Stilton!

Jerryskids:

President Trump's plans to end the war were not ridiculous. If you understood what he and Pompeo did and how they did it perhaps you would not have said what you did.

Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on Friday pushed back on the Biden administration for blaming the Trump administration’s Taliban deal for the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan. Pompeo said the Trump administration had a "conditions-based" agreement with the Taliban which was not the same as the plan pursued by Biden.

MIKE POMPEO: We were clear with the Taliban that we had this understanding--but you were going to live up to it. And we had a conditions-based withdrawal plan and we executed that. We were down from about 15,000 to a little over 2,500. And for the last 13 months of our administration, we didn't have a single American attacked or a single American killed.

It wasn't because of the piece of paper, that was the set of understandings. It was because the Taliban understood that if they acted against Americans and took on actions that were inconsistent with what they had promised to do, we'd respond and we did. We did it multiple times. When they pushed on us and the Trump administration, we responded with American power and American might, and we made clear to the Taliban that deterrence was going to be maintained. The difference was when the Biden administration came in, when the Taliban pushed, they withdrew. They showed weakness. The Taliban rolled it up. They put our military in an incredibly difficult position because they weren't prepared to defend the conditions and then decided to withdraw when the conditions weren't right.

President Trump wanted to get all of our folks out. No one disputes that the right thing to do was to get these folks home. But we never found the conditions right to execute what President Biden chose to do. President Trump wanted everyone out from January of 2017. We never found the conditions right to be able to do that. So we withdrew from 15,000 to about 8,600 then to about 4,500, each time along the way thoughtfully making sure that they understood that we had deterrence maintained, we had an order that we could protect Americans. And we did so every single day.

Biden's inane bragging about his grand success is like an arsonist thumping his chest over putting out the fire he set. Ostensibly our invasion of Afghanistan was to get rid of the terrorist breeding grounds there. But, of course, the military/industrial swamp turned it into a 20-year boondoggle. Not only did we the taxpayers spend trillions and gave up thousands of our armed forces, now we've left billions of dollars worth of ordinance and equipment for the terrorists to use in plotting their next attack on us. And that demented piece of shit is bragging about it. I've never wanted to see anyone burn in hell more than that bastard, except maybe Nancy Pelosi.

Well-qualified to speak on it substitute-host for Hugh Hewitt today said of Biden's latest speech the same thing I've been been wondering about many of these D. leaders for a very long time (decades): Are they REALLY that stupid? Or do they just think WE are that stupid? Pretty good question.

@Rod,

The Dims have their fair share of stupid people (like Fiden and Occasional Cortex), but for the most part, they are smart enough to pull the wool over millions of pairs of eyes. And yes, they think we are ALL as stupid as their sheeple. Big problem: the smart voters don't have a megaphone.

John the Econ said...

Of course Biden and his cohort will never be held accountable for this, unless, of course, the voters decide to. That's why I expect a lot of Democrat Claus next spring.

Oh, and if you'd like to see how a real leader responds to a screw up:

President Reagan accepted the blame Tuesday for the security breach that allowed the bombing of the Beirut Marine barracks and said no disciplinary action will be taken against U.S. military commanders.

‘If there is to be blame,’ Reagan said, ‘it properly rests here in this office and with this president. And I accept responsibility for the bad as well as the good.’

Rod said...

@All; following the thread above: I don't know the metrics nor have I ever seen anything like it: but I also think from experience around here locally that the conservatives may also be less heard and less visible because for most part because they work in private industry or actual "performance" government work... and have "JOBS" to do, not just bureaucratic or social "Positions" to hold. They may also have intact, nuclear families to FULLY support and taxes to pay. They are therefore busy and are bound to it.

On the other hand there are many I'm sure; but I'm not certain that (above) is so much the way for many libs who can show up for the demonstrations; and seem so damned sure of their ability to tell the rest of us how to live. I like the concept (less so the exact terms) of the original U.S Constitution in which there were qualifications to empower citizens to vote.

Seems worthy to note that a large part of that $85 billion went to showing their people how to fight but not showing them how nationhood works. Thus, with these greater skills, it is likely that the Talibani will begin murdering each-other as long as they lack another nation to "defend" them.
