Owing to a million niggling-details related to our soon-to-be home demolition and renovations, we're cutting straight to the chase today (and probably will on many other days in the near future)...
BONUS: with the time we just saved, we were also able to whip up this "truth in labeling" version of Hillary's next book of giant lies...
Fast and furious
Not criticizing the many MUCH more time-consuming but excellent editions... but this may be your best Ten Seconds ever. I think you've hit on a new format.
Has Miss Ross changed her hair style?
Very retro. I like it.
Great way to start Monday - covered all the bases. McCain is a douche! He complained when Obama opened the military to transgendered and now he complains when Trump repeals that. I think he loves being the center of attention.
Charlie Gard didn't know what he was up against. As for Rago - the police reported there were no signs of trauma - my guess is we're waiting for the toxicology report. DWS maybe the key to someone major unraveling of the DNC (pass the popcorn)
I think Scaramucci is doing exactly what he's supposed to be - and that's get rid of the leaks. No nice way to do it.
Loved it, Stilt!!!! Can't believe that Hillary thinks that anyone wants to read her lies and excuses. I guess maybe she is getting short of cash now though. Poor soul, what a pity!
I am ashamed that John McBrain damage is a senator from my otherwise great state of Arizona.
IMHO John McCain and the RNC that enabled his "run" for the presidency is a large reason we suffered through 8 years of socialist, anti-American, pro-Muslim, rule by a narcissist bomb thrower. If I ever hear "reach across the aisle" again I will projectile vomit.
McCain: A brain tumor explains a lot. I guess it's been growing for decades.
Gard: THIS is why you don't want the government involved in your healthcare. Bad enough to fight insurance companies on occasion, but having to fight the Gummint? Shoot! They care even less about the your outcome, if you can imagine that. No thanks...
Wasserman-Schultz: I always wondered why this ditz from Florida was the leader of the party. Likely because her weak mind makes her malleable? But, then, they all voted to choose another. One was a racist muslim; the other a foul-mouthed jackass. And they picked the jackass... Makes sense; now I understand...
Scaramucci: Scaramouch, scaramouch - will you do the fandangp...
McCain: Noticed that he didn't go to the VA, where people in his situation are usually put on waiting lists that are immediately filed in the waste bin, ultimately sparing those who run the VA the time, effort and cost of actual treatment. He couldn't care less about what those who actually have to deal with ObamaCare have to live with.
Charlie Gard: Beyond a story of where "single payer" ultimately goes, but where the state actually demonstrates who the real parent is.
Joseph Rago: Death at 34 of natural causes is pretty rare. Would like to know what it was. (Yes, I've heard the conspiracy theories, but I'm not ready to go there, yet)
Debbie's Tech Guy: Near silence in the MSM on what is probably the story about what really went haywire in the 2016 election. Can you imagine the 24/7 coverage had the Awan family been in the employ of anyone in the GOP? Nope. Instead they'll stick with the Russian nothingburger.
Scaramucci: I think Trump is trolling, everyone.
Hillary's book: What happened? The Clintons. The only surprise should be that people are still surprised.
My contribution to the Monday morning news sweep:
Pakistani village elders order retaliatory rape of 17-year-old girl
Village elders in Pakistan ordered the rape of a 17-year-old girl after her brother was accused of raping another girl. "(The second victim)'s two elder sisters were initially called, but the elders decided that (17-year-old) Victim B would be the one to take the punishment," the police report said.
Progressives drone on endlessly about the "white male patriarchy" and endemic "rape culture" supposedly dominant here in America. And yet this is the culture they want to dilute us with.
So how are some Progressive addressing this incoherence? By defining overtly hostile misogyny down to "cultural incompetence":
Manchester domestic violence case dropped for 'cultural incompetence'
A Congolese immigrant escaped prosecution on six domestic-violence crimes when his lawyer convinced a city prosecutor that he lacked the cultural competency to participate in the American justice system...
That's right! If you're Muslim and get caught beating or raping women, now you can just plead "cultural incompetency" and get a pass.
The rest of us might call that the ever hardening bigotry of low expectations. It's their culture; they just can't help themselves. Just remember who the real racists are next time a Progressive excuses this kind of behavior, and then ask why it's a good idea to import more of it.
Speaking of the consequences of importing more of it:
$163K cost of S.L. mayor's bodyguards raising questions
More than a year has gone by since Mayor Jackie Biskupski was appointed two personal bodyguards in wake of the massacre at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida.
You see, Salt Lake City is building it's own population of people from cultures with less than progressive views on women and modern sexuality, and the mayor is openly a lesbian who just married her girlfriend. It seems that after last year's massacre at a gay nightclub, she started to feel a bit "phobic", and therefore entitled to $163k in round-the-clock security. How nice for her. How unfortunate for her fellow gays, lesbians, trans, and the rest of the alphabet who don't get round-the-clock taxpayer-funded security to keep them safe.
Got it? If you're feeling less secure these days because of mass immigration by people who are culturally hostile to western civilization, you are just a small-minded racist xenophobe who needs to get over it. But if you are a white, lesbian Progressive urban mayor, you're entitled to 24/7 security and no questions asked.
This is why Trump won.
@TrickyRicky, the same party that served up two Bushes & Bob Dole. McCain was a "maverick" only in the sense that the media loved him because he was even less principled than his predecessors.
@Emmentaler Limburger, we should contemplate Charlie Gard to the ultimate logical conclusion: Under any "single payer" paradigm, resources available for medical care will always be limited while demand for that "free" care will always be unlimited. This will set up competition between the tribes for pieces of the finite pie the government has established. The voting members of society will drive policy, whereas the in vitro have no vote. Technology is already in place to identify "problem" child not long after conception. People will see the disproportionate resources required to support these children (often for a full lifetime) as competition for the resources they hope to tap when they will want care, and will logically conclude that it would be better off that these children not be born.
Then we'll get into the debate of which "problem" children should be allowed to be born versus those who are not.
It's not going to be pretty.
Yes, & of course any social norms about "Don't have the child if you can't afford to care for & raise it" are pretty much gone. And for many now the extra child increases their government "income"; I suppose it doesn't increase costs very much since a lot of that is "Gimme" as well. It's ridiculous that those people can vote.
So much wit in so little time! Awesome, fine Doctor.
It was only just now, after your post, that I realized Ms. Ross HAD hair. Hadn't paid much attention before....
For all of our sakes, may McCain decide this is a perfect time to retire, and may your fine state elect a replacement in the mold of Ted Cruz or Trey Gowdy.
John the Econ,
In the immortal words of that renowned political science expert, Whoopie Goldberg, "Yes, but was it rape rape?"
Dare we hope that the DWS issue finally brings to light the crooked dealings, backstabbings, life ruinings, and general evil assed operations of the blasted Democrats?! Not holding breath...
...and Scaramucci is out. Less than 2 weeks?
John McBrain aught to go to J. Carter's doctor. After all, he was cured of a brain tumor quite quickly.
That little baby Charlie's story is too sad to contemplate.
I can't believe Scaramucci is out already. He, at least, had courage, unlike most of the Republicans in the swamp/sewer.
John the Econ - Saw that story about the sister getting raped as justice for her brother on another site a bit ago (https://www.weaselzippers.us/ in case anyone is curious. Pretty god digest site, some of the commenters can be a bit coarse.. )
Anyway, was wondering if he would then be obligated to perform the 'honor killing'... that whole story was just bizarre and disgusting. Seemed to me that the 'tribal elders' had a perv on for the sister, and just took advantage of the situation... but hey, what do *I* know.
Someone REALLY need to start smuggling handguns to these victims of Islam, give them the means to take care of it themselves...
TrickyRicky, projectile vomit sounds like a great way reach across the aisle!
@Readers- I'm glad people seemed to enjoy today's "Reader's Digest" version of Stilton's Place. Of course, I figured if I started it off with Busty Ross, much would be forgiven (grin).
@David D- I don't think Busty has changed her hairstyle. I will mention that when she's not wearing her work clothes (as seen here) and is lounging poolside, she strikes a more contemporary figure. If everyone here behaves, I'll ask if she'd mind sharing a photo one of these days...
@Tracy Evans- Good summary, although it seems that not everyone appreciated Scaramucci's approach to his job (besides me, that is).
@Tricky Ricky- I don't really like talking down McCain, but I'll say he's been no friend to our side.
@Emmentaler Limburger- I feel like Debbie WS is a person to watch closely right now. She's surely up to her permed eyebrows in corruption and dirty deals. The question is whether evidence can be brought against her before she has an "accident."
@John the Econ- Excellent breakdown of the stories. As is frequently the case, YOUR comments should be on the front page instead of mine!
The other stories you raise are all noteworthy too. As Paul Harvey used to say (rest his soul), "It's not one world..."
Finally, on the topic of government healthcare and the inevitable move to prevent the "undesirables" from being born, it will be a very short hop for the government to get more proactive about not allowing elderly "undesirables" from clogging up the system and using healthcare which should go to The Workers.
Sadly, this isn't an "if" scenario, it's a "when." And I'm guessing the answer is "soon."
@Rod- Personal frickin' responsibility. Is that too much to ask of people? Apparently yes...
@Colby Muenster- You'd think that I would have had all the Hope beaten out of me now, but yes - I DO hope to see Debbie and the DNC servers exposed to the full light of day.
@John the Econ- I'm not surprised about Scaramucci, and I'm glad to see him go. In my shorthand description of him as "another asshole" today, I was saying he was EXACTLY what Trump didn't need more of. His idiotic conversation with that reporter, during which he savage others in the White House with the coarsest possible language just proved him to be a sleazemeister. I'm delighted he's gone.
@Mark Matis- And I'm glad of that, if only because I can stop calling the guy "Prince Rebus" and then having to correct myself.
@Judi King- I'm not sure if Scaramucci had courage or hubris. In either case, it wasn't tempered with good judgement. So, buh-bye Mooch!
"If everyone here behaves, I'll ask if she'd mind sharing a photo one of these days..."
How do you need us to behave ??? I can do a pretty good act like wild animal or behave like a loon??? Good enough??
OK; I'll behave. And this better be good.
Oh Busty, if it turned out this was you, my heart would truly be broken:
No, I Don't Have To Tell You I'm Trans Before Dating You
Demanding trans people come out to potential partners is transphobic.
Yup, that's right. Not wanting to date a guy who looks and acts like a girl, but actually has a dick is now officially "transphobic". (We used to simply call people who did like to do that "gay", but that's now so 2008)
Notice how seamlessly they've moved from "tolerance" to "acceptance" to now "engage us or else". (I wish our old friend Jim Havlac was still around. I'd really appreciate and respect his take on this phenomenon) So now in order to avoid being labeled "transphobic", you will be required to engage in homosexuality.
A few years ago, I started joking that it was just a matter of time before the rebuffing of the sexual advances of a trans-person would be considered a "hate crime", especially on college campuses where ideological conformity is now an admissions requirement. I think we're getting closer to the moment where this will no longer be a joke, but reality.
So my new joke will be that college students at our most Progressive universities will be required to have sexual relationships with members of at least 2 other of the 56 newly discovered genders before they can graduate. Acts will have to be witnessed by at least two university diversity officers in order to count as credit.
Could Trump have done a great thing by replacing Priebus with John Kelly? Word is, it was Kelly's idea to ax Scaramouche, not Trump's. Maybe Kelly's military style will "Make The Executive Branch Great Again." Trump has many redeeming qualities, but IMO, picking staffers ain't one of them.
Well, it would seem you folks in the great state of Arizona now have TWO knuckleheaded Senators to get rid of. Flake's gone flaky, too! We have no room to point fingers in NC, though. We have our own RINO, Richard Burr, although I think he's still a bit to the right of McLame.
Busty got a new hairdo???
@REM1875 & Rod- Yes, it will be worthwhile...
@John the Econ- Jaw-dropping stuff. And I don't think you need to worry about Busty being anything other that 100% female.
@Colby Muenster- I'm really hoping that Kelly will bring discipline to the White House. This seat-of-the-pants "reality show" crap is no longer amusing.
@American Cowboy- She's just letting her hair down a little.
Thanks, @Stilton. Knowing that about Busty makes this world still worth living in.
As Queen sang, "Scaramucci, Scaramucci couldn't do the Trump tango." (Or something like that.) He had the "thunderbolts and lightning" part nailed though. :-)
